        The Effect of Lumbar Stabilization Exercise on Low Back Pain : A Meta-analysis of Studies in Korea

        The purpose of this meta-analysis study was to investigate the effect of lumbar stabilization exercise on low back pain by analyzing Korean studies. Studies for the analysis were searched in electronic bibliographic databases by using the keywords ‘lumbar stabilization exercise’ and ‘low back pain’. Only randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and clinical controlled trials (CCTs) were included. Of the 36 studies identified in the search, 11 studies met the study criteria and were thus included in the meta-analysis. As a result, lumbar stabilization exercise showed a large effect size(ES) on back pain(ES, 0.84; 95% confidence interval, 0.55–1.22, p=0.025). In the analysis of the subcategorical variables, the RCTs showed larger ES(0.921) than the CCTs(0.693) and static+dynamic exercise showed larger ES than static exercise (0.675). In the analysis of the subcontinuous variables, as the exercise duration (weeks) and number of exercise per week increased, pain decreased(p<0.05). Our results indicated that lumbar stabilization exercise had a beneficial effect on low back pain. In the future, accumulation of more research studies about lumbar stabilization in Korea will lead to more systematic and comprehensive analyses.

        Analysis of a thickness-shear mode vibrator for the accelerometer in vector hydrophones

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Typical hydrophones in line array sensors used to detect covert underwater targets can measure only sound pressure magnitude with the limitation of being unable to identify the direction of an incoming wave. In this paper, a thickness-shear mode vibrator is proposed as the main component of an inertia-type vector hydrophone to measure both the magnitude and direction of acoustic signals from targets. The piezoelectric single crystal lead magnesium niobate-lead titanate with rhombohedral 3m symmetry constitutes the vibrator. The directional voltage response of the vibrator to an external force is derived, and the validity of the derived response is verified through fabrication of a piezoelectric single crystal vibrator and by comparison of its measured characteristics with the analysis results.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The directional voltage response of a thickness-shear mode vibrator was derived. </LI> <LI> The vibrator constituted the main part of an inertia-type vector hydrophone. </LI> <LI> The voltage response of PMN-PT crystals having rhombohedral 3m symmetry was derived. </LI> <LI> The validity of the derived voltage response was verified through experiments. </LI> <LI> The new design method facilitates efficient development of vector hydrophones. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Development of vector hydrophone using thickness–shear mode piezoelectric single crystal accelerometer

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, a vector hydrophone was developed for a towed array sonar system using a shear type accelerometer. In general, inertia type vector hydrophones using accelerometers have higher sensitivity than multimode vector hydrophones. However, the sensitivity still needs to be enhanced as much as possible for practical application. For the purpose, the effect of the structural parameters of a shear type accelerometer on the receiving voltage sensitivity (RVS) of the vector hydrophone was rigorously analyzed, and the structure of the vector hydrophone was optimized to maximize the RVS. The developed vector hydrophone has an external diameter of 23 mm and the minimum RVS over the given frequency range of -201.4 dB. It was also verified that the designed vector hydrophone exhibits the characteristic of a dipole mode beam pattern. Furthermore, a prototype of the vector hydrophone was fabricated with the optimal dimensions, and its acoustic characteristics were measured to verify the validity of the design.         Comparing the Effects of Distilled Rehmannia glutinosa, Wild Ginseng and Astragali Radix Pharmacopuncture With Heart Rate Variability (HRV): A Randomized, Sham-controlled and Double-blind Clinical Trial

        This study compared the effects of distilled Rehmannia glutinosa, Wild Ginseng and Astragali Radix pharmacopuncture on the autonomic nervous system and heart rate variability. The purpose of the trial was to observe the influence distilled Astragali Radix, Wild Ginseng and Rehmannia glutinosa pharmacopuncture have on the autonomic nervous system. 120 healthy male volunteers were divided into four groups, which consisted of three experimental groups and a control group. This study was a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical trial. Volunteers in experimental groups were underwent pharmacopuncture at GB21 (Kyonjong), and volunteers in the control group were injected with normal saline at GB21 (Kyonjong). Heart rate variability was measured seven times: before and after injection, every 5 minutes for 30 minutes. The result was distilled Rehmannia glutinosa, Wild Ginseng and Astragali Radix pharmacopuncture in healthy adult males tended to activate the autonomic nervous system, particularly the sympathetic nervous system.         다크넷 트래픽 기반의 알려지지 않은 IoT 봇넷 선제탐지 방안

        최근 컴퓨팅 및 통신 기술의 발달로 인해 IoT 디바이스가 급격히 확산 보급되고 있다. 특히 IoT 디바이스는 가정에서부터 공장에 이르기까지 그 목적에 따라 연산을 수행하거나 주변 환경을 센싱하는 등의 기능을 보유하고 있어 실생활에서의 활용이 폭넓게 증가하고 있다. 하지만, 제한된 수준의 하드웨어 자원을 보유한 IoT 디바이스는 사이버 공격에 노출되는 위험도가 높으며, 이로 인해 IoT 봇넷은 악성행위의 경유지로 악용되거나 연결된 네트워크로 감염을 빠르게 확산함으로써 단순한 정보 유출뿐만 아니라 범국가적 위기를 초래할 가능성이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 폭넓게 활용되고 있는 IoT 네트워크에서 알려지지 않은 보안위협에 선제적으로 대응하기 위해 IoT 봇넷의 네트워크 행위특징을 활용한 선제탐지 방법을 제안한다. IoT 봇넷이 접근하는 다크넷 트래픽을 분석하여 4가지 행위특징을 정의하고 이를 통해 감염의심 IP를 빠르게 선별한다. 분류된 IP는 사이버 위협 인텔리전스(CTI)를 활용하여 알려지지 않은 의심 호스트 여부를 확인한 후, 디바이스 핑거프린팅을 통해 IoT 봇넷에의 소속 여부를 최종 결정한다. 제안된 선제탐지 방법의 유효성 검증을 위해 실제 운용 중인 보안관제 환경의 다크넷 대역에 방법론 적용 및 확인결과, 선제탐지 한 약 1,000개의 호스트가 실제 악성 IoT 봇넷임을 10개월간 추적관찰로 검증하여 그 유효성을 확인하였다. With development of computing and communications technologies, IoT environments based on high-speed networks have been extending rapidly. Especially, from home to an office or a factory, applications of IoT devices with sensing environment and performing computations are increasing. Unfortunately, IoT devices which have limited hardware resources can be vulnerable to cyber attacks. Hence, there is a concern that an IoT botnet can give rise to information leakage as a national cyber security crisis arising from abuse as a malicious waypoint or propagation through connected networks. In order to response in advance from unknown cyber threats in IoT networks, in this paper, We firstly define four types of We firstly define four types of characteristics by analyzing darknet traffic accessed from an IoT botnet. Using the characteristic, a suspicious IP address is filtered quickly. Secondly, the filtered address is identified by Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) or Open Source INTelligence (OSINT) in terms of an unknown suspicious host. The identified IP address is finally fingerprinted to determine whether the IP is a malicious host or not. To verify a validation of the proposed method, we apply to a Darknet on real-world SOC. As a result, about 1,000 hosts who are detected and blocked preemptively by the proposed method are confirmed as real IoT botnets.

        벡터 하이드로폰을 위한 두께 전단형 진동자의 빔 패턴 해석

        Typical hydrophones in line array sensors for early detection of covert underwater targets can measure only sound-pressure-magnitude with the limitation of being unable to identify the direction of an incoming wave. In this study, a thickness shear mode vibrator was proposed as the main component of an inertia type vector hydrophone to measure both magnitude and direction of acoustic signals from targets. The equation to analyze the output voltage of the vibrator to an external force was derived, and the validity of the equation was verified through finite element analysis of a PMN-PT single crystal vibrator. The analysis results from this study will be utilized in the future for the design of inertia type vector hydrophones made of thickness shear vibrators. 수중에서 은밀하게 움직이는 표적을 조기에 탐지하기 위한 선배열센서에 적용되는 통상의 하이드로폰은 표적신호의 크기만 측정할 뿐, 외부에서 들어오는 음향신호의 방향은 파악할 수 없는 한계가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 표적으로부터의 음향신호의 크기와 방향을 동시에 탐지할 수 있는 관성형 벡터 하이드로폰의 기본 구성품으로 두께 전단형 진동자를 제안하였다. 외력에 대한 진동자의 출력 전압을 해석할 수 있는 수식을 유도하였으며, PMN-PT 단결정 진동자에 대한 유한요소해석을 통해 수식의 타당성을 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 해석 결과는 향후 두께 전단형 진동자로 구성된 관성형 벡터 하이드로폰 설계에 활용될 것이다.
