This study aimed to figure out the needs of senior YouTube viewers to improve their user experience. A user study was conducted with five participants in their 50s and 60s who often watch the news on YouTube to analyze. Interview based on diary study, observation, and collage making were used as an analyzing method. As a result, emotional experiences for users in the 50s to 60s, especially vivid, supportive, and confident are important. The implications and limitations of the study are discussed at the end.

In this paper, a model based control algorithm for pressure control type CVT has been developed. Model based controller was designed based on Kpsi map and steady state primary pressure model for a ratio control valve. It was found from the experiments thai the model based controller has similar tracking performance compared with the PID controller. However, model based controller showed superior robustness to the PID controller especially for the overdrive range. It is expected that the model based controller can be used to prevent the belt slippage and improve the shift speed.<br/>

Since the conventional pixel has a deficit that it could not sense a thing under low light level environment, the novel architecture that CIS which includes current mirror circuit at photo-diode node is proposed. The amount of current flow by the photo-charge is amplified by utilizing the current mirror in order to improve output performance at the same light level, when comparing with the conventional ones. The proposed pixel in the paper is simulated with Hynix standard 0.18 um CMOS process. Under the light intensity of 0.01 lx, which causes photocurrent of 10 pA, the proposed architecture denotes slope of 200 mV/ms at output.
나사산의 형상에 따른 Self-Tapping Screw의 체결 거동 분석

The metal tapping screws are mainly used to fasten polymer materials. Since the polymer clamped parts are weaker than the metal screw, the joint performance is mainly affected by the material properties and shapes of clamped part. However, it is not simple to change the material. Therefore, research have been conducted to improve the performance of joints by varying the thread shape. Though, it is not efficient to manufacture the designed screw to evaluate the joint performance because of the cost. In this study, we suggest an efficient way to comparing the fastening performance with respect to different materials and thread shapes via finite element analysis (FEA). The experiments were also conducted to validate the FEA. The calculated stripping torque via FEA shows only ±5% error compared to the experimental results. Additionally, we compared the fastening behavior and the joint performance with respect to the five threads of different shapes.

In this paper, model based control algorithms of the pressure regulating type CVT ratio control system are developed. It is found from the experiments that the linear controller can be applied in pressure control type CVT with satisfactory tracking performance and robustness while nonlinear control algorithm is required for the flow control type CVT. In addition, model based ratio control algorithms are suggested based on the steady state characteristics of the CVT ratio control system. The experiments show reduced under/overshoot shift characteristics. It is also found that the primary pressure control can be achieved by the model based control to prevent the belt-pulley slip. However, the increased primary pressure causes slower downshift response, which requires compromise between the safety and the performance.

Purpose: Multiple independent spike foci (MISF) have been reported to be associated with hypsarrhythmia and slow spikes and waves. However, some patients with MISF demonstrate a good prognosis, such as benign focal epilepsy. This study aimed to elucidate the prognosis of epileptic children with MISF and to analyze the prognostic factors. Methods: The subjects were 115 epileptic children aged 1 to 18 years who visited Pusan National University Children’s Hospital between November 2008 and July 2016 and in whom MISF were noted on electroencephalography. We excluded patients with infantile spasms, congenital metabolic diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, or post-encephalitic epilepsy. We retrospectively reviewed participants’ clinical information. Seizure control was defined as no seizures over 6 months at the last visit. Prognostic factors were analyzed in the seizure control (group A; 84 [73%]) and no seizure control (group B; 31 [27%]) groups. Results: Generalized seizure (P=0.033), intellectual disability (P<0.001), cerebral palsy (P=0.046), and abnormal background activity and electrodecrements on electroencephalography (P<0.001) were significantly more common in group B. No clinically significant abnormalities were noted on magnetic resonance imaging of the brain. The MISF improved on follow-up electroencephalography in 58 (71.6%) patients in group A versus 10 (35.7%) in group B (P=0.002). Conclusion: Despite MISF on electroencephalography, two-thirds of patients had a benign clinical course, particularly those with post-infantile epilepsy and no infantile spasms. The prognostic factors of poor outcomes were generalized seizures, intellectual disability, and abnormal background activity on electroencephalography.

In absorption chillers using LiBr aqueous solution, corrosion problems of carbon steel heat exchangers become more serious as the temperature of the generator increases. To reduce the corrosion problems, various surface treatment methods are applied such as a shotpeening. In this study, corrosion characteristics were investigated for untreated and shotpeened surfaces. Pyrex tube samples containing the specimens and LiBr aqueous solution with Li 2 MoO 4 were made and put into a high temperature oven at 200 ℃. After 2000 hours, the surface and cross section of carbon steel specimens were observed using field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). It was found that the passive films have the characteristic of a double layer consisting of a thick MoO 2layer and thin Fe 3 O 4 layer. Thicker passive films were observed on the shot-peened surface than the untreated one. As a result of corrosion depth measurement, the shot-peened specimens showed a slightly smaller uniform corrosion depth, however, they showed a much smaller pitting corrosion depth than the untreated ones. It is supposed that the shot-peened surface is more effective in preventing the pitting corrosion than uniform corrosion. The results of this study are expected to be applied effectively to the absorption chillers using LiBr aqueous solution to estimate and reduce the corrosion.

In absorption machines, various surface treatment methods such as shot-peening are applied to reduce the corrosion of carbon steel heat exchangers. Although a shot-peening process was proven to be beneficial in the fatigue corrosion, but its effect on pitting corrosion has been rarely investigated. Therefore, the present study aims to figure out the effects of the surface treatment in local corrosion resistance including pitting corrosion under operating conditions of triple effect absorption chiller. In this study, the mass loss by the corrosion was measured using the gravimetric method. Also, the maximum corrosion depth and the corrosion shape were analyzed using the contact profiler and the field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM). The results show that the shot-peening treatment is effective in the suppression of both general corrosion and local corrosion. The results of this study are expected to be applied effectively to predict and reduce the corrosion in absorption chillers using LiBr aqueous solution.
