킬레이트 수지에 의한 Mo(Ⅵ)과 W(Ⅵ)의 분리 및 흡착

Three kinds of chelate resins bearing iminodiacetic acid, diethanolamine or diethylenetriamine have been applied to selectively separate and recover one component in a mixture of heavy metals, Mo and W, where their chemical properties are very similar. The adsorption behavior of metal ions was investigated for each chelate resin under various experimental conditions such as time, pH, metal ion concentration by a batch experiment. The chelate resins complexed by Mo or W were characterized by FTIR and ¹H NMR. The metal uptake of each chelate resin decreased with increasing pH. The resins were found to selectively chelate MoO₄^2- over a pH range of 2∼6. The chelate resin with diethanolamine groups showed the maximum adsorption capacity for Mo and W over a pH range of 1∼6 among three resins used. However, the resin with iminodiacetic acid groups showed the best results to separate Mo and W selectively. The ¹H NMR study using the homogeneous analogue suggests the higher selectivity of iminodiacetic acid group toward Mo over W.

Ionic liquids have being investigated for many applications including reaction solvent, separation medium, and electrolytes of supercapacitor and solar cell. Since ionic liquids are liquids which are entirely composed of ions, they can have high ionic conductivity. They are also non-volatile and non-flammable, and exist as liquid state over a wide range of temperature compared with organic solvents commercially used. Therefore, when they can be used as electrolytes, it can make more safe battery than commercial one. In this study, a series of ionic liquids was synthesized and ionic liquids were soaked into microporous P(VdF-HFP) membrane, the polymer electrolytes were also prepared. Microporous membrane was prepared by phase inversion method. Their thermal stability was preformed by TGA and their electrochemical properties were evaluated with ionic conductivity, electrochemical stability and cyclic voltammogram.
제올라이트(NaA형, NaX형)의 이온교환성에 관한 연구

A study has been made of the exchange of Ag^+, Li^+, and Ba^++, Ca^++, Sr^++ ion by using synthetic zeolite-13X and zeolite-NaA. The zeolite used in this work was supplied as beads by Aldrich Chemical Company, Inc., and the formula of unit cell is M_x/n[AlO₂)_x(SiO₂)_y]zH₂O. X-ray diffraction analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy indicated that the crystallinity of zeolites was retained though sodium ion in zeolite exchanged with the cation. The amount of ion exchanged was measured by the determining of the amount of cation remained in solution by Inductively coupled plasma, and surface area, adsorption isotherm, Ion exchange kinetics. The selectivity of ions was in the order Ag^+>Li^+>Sr^++>Ca^++>Ba^++.

비수용성 현탁중합법을 사용하여 다양한 기능성기를 지니는 폴리이미드 수지입자를 합성하였다. 기능성 폴리이미드 수지입자는 400℃까지 매우 안정하였다. 트리아졸기를 지니는 폴리이미드 수지입자가 에폭시화 Mo(VI)촉매의 담체로 이용되었으며, 담지촉매의 활성이 여로 번 재사용하여도 계속 유지 되었다.

Polymer-supported ruthenium catalyst was prepared by anchoring dichlorotris(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium, RuCl₂(PPh₃)₃, onto the phosphinated polystyrene bead. The polymer-supported RuCl₂(PPh₃)₃ could be reused several times with only small loss of catalytic activity in the isomerization of 1-hexene. The activity rather increased during the few initial runs. In both homogeneous and heterogenized catalysts, an induction period was required to initiate the isomerization. The catalyst efficiency was promoted in the mixture of good swelling solvent and potent hydrogen donor. Upon heterogenizing, the activity was reduced by a factor of 2.0-8.2.

These chelate reisins showed the best adsorption rate for metal ion in the range of pH 1 - 4.0. The distribution coefficient of metal ions on these resins was decreased with pH. Amberlite IRC718 with iminodiacetic acid groups gave the best results among chelate resins investigated.
