        손오공 캐릭터 디자인 변용에 드러난 사회 문화적 함의

        <서유기(西游记)>에 등장하는 손오공 캐릭터는 많은 대중매체에서 다뤄온 중국 전통 문화적 소재이다. 1941년 <철선공주(铁扇公主), 1941>를 시작으로 <몽키킹: 영웅의 귀환(大圣归来), 2015>에 이르기 까지 손오공 캐릭터는 시대별 다른 디자인적 특성을 보이고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 중국 현대화 시기 각 시대 별 변천에 따른 손오공 캐릭터 디자인 변용에 대해 그 사회 문화적 함의를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위한 연구의 전개는 첫째, <서유기>와 손오공에 대해 역사적, 문화적 관점에서 고찰하여 그 의의를 이해하고, 둘째, 중국 현대화 시기 사회 문화적 영향과 연관한 문화 · 예술 성향에 대해 살펴본다. 셋째, 앞선 선행연구를 바탕으로 분석 툴 도출과 분석대상을 제시한다. 넷째, 1941년에서 2015년 까지 시기 별 제작된 애니메이션 14편의 손오공 캐릭터의 시대적 상징성과 그 의미 그리고, 디자인 변용에 대해 사회 문화적 배경과 연관하여 사례 분석한다. 이를 통해 손오공 캐릭터는 중국 전통요소, 사회주의 이념, 해외애니메이션의 영향을 받아 손오공 캐릭터의 시대적 상징성과 형상 디자인에 연관되었음을 알 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해, 중국 전통 소재인 손오공 캐릭터의 사회 문화적 함의와 중국 대중의 기호변화에 대해 살펴볼 수 있는 의미 있는 연구라 사료된다. The Sun WuKong of the 〈Journey to the West〉 has been a very popular and traditional character appeared in mass media. The design of Sun WuKong has explored the different characteristics by the times since it has started from 〈The Princess of Iron Fan, 1941〉 to 〈Monkey King: Hero Is Back, 2015〉. In regard to this, this research seeks to find the socio-cultural meaning implemented in the design transformation of the Sun WuKong animation character in each times of modernization period. In the light of this, firstly, this paper will review the 〈Journey to the West〉 and Sun WuKong in the historic and cultural approach. Secondly, culture and art tendencies related to the socio-cultural influences in the times of modernization will be reviewed. Thirdly, analysis tool and case study objects will be suggested based on literature reviews. Fourthly, case studies about 14 Sun WuKong animation characters" design by period will be processed by socio-cultural backgrounds. This study concludes by arguing how the transformation of Sun WuKong character design and its symbolic meaning have been reflected in the socialism, the influence of foreign animations and social-cultural phenomenon to explore the socio-cultural meaning of Sun WuKong character and the changes of Chinese public fancy.

        Integrated analysis of DNA methylome and transcriptome reveals SFRP1 and LIPG as potential drivers of ovarian cancer metastasis

        Objective: More than 75% of ovarian cancer patients are diagnosed at advanced stages and die of tumor cell metastasis. This study aimed to identify new epigenetic and transcriptomic alterations associated with ovarian cancer metastasis. Methods: Two cell sublines with low- and high-metastasis potentials were derived from the ovarian cancer cell line A2780. Genome-wide DNA methylome and transcriptome profiling were carried out in these two sublines by Reduced Representation Bisulfite Sequencing and RNA-seq technologies. Cell-based assays were conducted to support the clinical findings. Results: There are distinct DNA methylation and gene expression patterns between the two cell sublines with low- and high-metastasis potentials. Integrated analysis identified 33 methylation-induced genes potentially involved in ovarian cancer metastasis. The DNA methylation patterns of two of them (i.e., SFRP1 and LIPG) were further validated in human specimens, indicating that they were hypermethylated and downregulated in peritoneal metastatic ovarian carcinoma compared to primary ovarian carcinoma. Patients with lower SFRP1 and LIPG expression tend to have a worse prognosis. Functionally, knockdown of SFRP1 and LIPG promoted cell growth and migration, whereas their overexpression resulted in the opposite effects. In particular, knockdown of SFRP1 could phosphorylate GSK3β and increase β-catenin expression, leading to deregulated activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling. Conclusion: Many systemic and important epigenetic and transcriptomic alterations occur in the progression of ovarian cancer. In particular, epigenetic silencing of SFRP1 and LIPG is a potential driver event in ovarian cancer metastasis. They can be used as prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for ovarian cancer patients.

        Core–Shell Chain-Like Cu@Ni Composite with Dual Absorption Peaks to Improve Microwave Absorption Properties

        Core–shell Cu@Ni chains were successfully synthesized through a mild hydrothermal reaction. The morphology, structure and microwave electromagnetic properties of the composite were then characterized by X-ray diffraction, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and vector network analysis. The formation mechanisms of the core–shell structure and one-dimensional chains were ascribed to the varying redox potentials of Cu and Ni ions and the magnetic dipole–dipole attraction. Furthermore, a minimal reflection loss (RL) of -20.7 dB was observed at 9.6 GHz with a thickness of 2.0mm and the effective absorption ( ≤10 dB, 90% microwave attenuation) bandwidth can be adjusted between 5.2 GHz and 16.6 GHz for the thin absorber thickness of 2.0–4.0 mm. The novel core–shell chain-like Cu@Ni alloy can be used as a promising absorbing material because it shows numerous features such as thin thickness, strong absorption, low cost and lightweight.

        Research on the Expression Features of Naked-eye 3D Effect of LED Screen Based on Optical Illusion Art

        At present, naked-eye 3D appears more and more commonly on the facades of urban buildings. It brings an incredible visual experience to the audience by simulating the natural 3D 3D space effect. At the same time, it also creates enormous commercial value for city publicity and commercial advertisements. There is much research on naked-eye 3D visual effects, but for right-angle LED screens. Right-angle LED screen's brand-new expression method that has only become popular in recent years, how to convey a realistic naked-eye 3D effect through two LED screens combined at right angles has become a problem worth exploring. To explore the whole design ideas and production process of the naked-eye 3D impact of the right-angle LED screen, this paper is a preliminary study aimed at understanding the performance principle and expression features. Before the case analysis, first, understand the standard virtual 3D space construction techniques. Combining it with the optical illusion phenomenon, according to the expression principle of the naked-eye 3D effect of the right-angle LED screen, it can be summarized into seven expressions: Shadow, Color contrast, Background structure line, Magnify object, Object out of bounds, Object floating, Fusion of picture and background. By analyzing the optical illusion phenomenon used in the case, we summarized the main performance characteristics of the naked eye 3D effect. The emergence of right-angle LED screens breaks the limitation of a single plane of optical illusion art, perfectly combines building facades with naked-eye 3D visual effects, and provides designers with a brand-new creative platform. Understanding its production principles and main expressive features can help designers enter this innovative platform better.

        Achieving the Naked-eye 3D Effect for Right-angled LED Screen by Off-line Rendering Production Method

        As a new trend in the development of urban public spaces, the use of right-angle LED screens perfectly combines building facades with naked-eye 3D visual effects, providing designers with a brand-new creative platform. How to create a realistic naked-eye 3D effect on a right-angle LED screen and bring an immersive visual experience to the audience has become a question worth exploring. So far, production companies have yet to announce the relevant design ideas and complete production methods. In order to explore the production principle and production process of the naked-eye 3D effect of the right-angle LED screen, we summarize the basic production principle of the naked-eye 3D impact of the right-angle LED screen through case analysis. Based on understanding the production principle, the actual case production test was carried out, and a complete production process of the naked eye 3D visual effect of the right-angle led screen was tried to be provided by off-line rendering. For the problem of how to deal with image deformation, we provide two production methods: post-production software correction and UV mapping. Among them, the UV mapping method is more efficient and convenient. Referring to this paper can help designers quickly understand the production principle of the naked eye 3D effect of right-angle LED screens. The production process proposed in this paper can provide a reference for production method for related project producers.

        Subgingival microbiome in periodontitis and type 2 diabetes mellitus: an exploratory study using metagenomic sequencing

        Purpose: To explore differences in the subgingival microbiome according to the presence of periodontitis and/or type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D), a metagenomic sequencing analysis of the subgingival microbiome was performed. Methods: Twelve participants were divided into 4 groups based on their health conditions (periodontitis, T2D, T2D complicated with periodontitis, and generally healthy). Subgingival plaque was collected for metagenomic sequencing, and gingival crevicular fluids were collected to analyze the concentrations of short-chain fatty acids. Results: The shifts in the subgingival flora from the healthy to periodontitis states were less prominent in T2D subjects than in subjects without T2D. The pentose and glucuronate interconversion, fructose and mannose metabolism, and galactose metabolism pathways were enriched in the periodontitis state, while the phosphotransferase system, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and peptidoglycan biosynthesis, bacterial secretion system, sulfur metabolism, and glycolysis pathways were enriched in the T2D state. Multiple genes whose expression was upregulated from the red and orange complex bacterial genomes were associated with bacterial biofilm formation and pathogenicity. The concentrations of propionic acid and butyric acid were significantly higher in subjects with periodontitis, with or without T2D, than in healthy subjects. Conclusions: T2D patients are more susceptible to the presence of periodontal pathogens and have a higher risk of developing periodontitis. The pentose and glucuronate interconversion, fructose and mannose metabolism, galactose metabolism, and glycolysis pathways may represent the potential microbial functional association between periodontitis and T2D, and butyric acid may play an important role in the interaction between these 2 diseases. The enrichment of the LPS and peptidoglycan biosynthesis, bacterial secretion system, and sulfur metabolism pathways may cause T2D patients to be more susceptible to periodontitis.

        Correlation between Vitamin B12 and Mental Health in Children and Adolescents: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

        To conduct the association between vitamin B12 and mental health in children and adolescents. Five databases were searched for observational studies in any language reporting on mental health and vitamin B12 levels or intake in children and adolescents from inception to March 18, 2022. Two authors independently extracted data and assessed study quality. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of data were performed. The review was registered in the PROSPERO database (CRD42022345476). Fifty six studies containing 37,932 participants were identified in the review. Vitamin B12 levels were lower in participants with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) (standardized mean difference [SMD], −1.61; 95% confidence interval [95% CI], −2.44 to −0.79; p < 0.001), attention deficit hyperactivity disorders (SMD, −0.39; 95% CI, −0.78 to −0.00; p = 0.049) compared with control group. Vitamin B12 intake were lower in participants with ASDs (SMD, −0.86; 95% CI, −1.48 to −0.24; p = 0.006) compared with control group, but showed no difference between depression group (SMD, −0.06; 95% CI, −0.15 to 0.03; p = 0.17) and the control group. Higher vitamin B12 intake were associated with lower risk of depression (odds ratio [OR], 0.79; 95% CI, 0.63−0.98; p = 0.034) and behavioral problems (OR, 0.83; 95% CI, 0.69−0.99; p = 0.04). The vast majority of included studies supported potential positive influence of vitamin B12 on mental health, and vitamin B12 deficiency may be a reversible cause for some mental health disorders in children and adolescents.
