<P>We present both experimental and theoretical evidence for uncertainty-limited turnstile transport in deformed microcavities. As the degree of cavity deformation was increased, a secondary peak gradually emerged in the far-field emission patterns to form a double-peak structure. Our observation can be explained in terms of the interplay between turnstile transport and its suppression by the quantum mechanical uncertainty principle.</P>

Irradiaton of nifedipine in methylene chloride at 366 nm yielded 2,6-dimethyl-3,5-dicarbomethoxy-4-(2'-nitrosophen yl)-pyridine with the quantum yield 0.37, while irradiation at 254 nm initially gave nitroso compound which in turn is photooxidized to 2,6-dimethyl-3,5-dicarbomethoxy-4-(2'-nitrophenyl) -pyridine with the quantum efficiency of 0.014 on further irradiation in the presence of oxygen. The intramolecular hydrogen abstraction of nifedipine proceeded from the triplet excited sitate.
The expression of TLRs in pulmonary neuron in bleomycin induced pulmonary fibrosis model

Background: The family of Toll-like receptors (TLRs) plays a key role in controlling innate immune responses to a wide variety of pathogen-associated molecules. Nerve cells originated from lung are considered to be related with clinical respiratory symptoms including coughing, dyspnea. However, investigation of TLRs in pulmonary nerve cells has scarcely studied. We investigated the expression of TLRs in pulmonary nerve cells and change of TLRs in bleomycin induced lung fibrosis model. Methods: Male Spraque-Dawley rats were given a single dose of bleomycin (2.5 mg/kg, intratracheally) in pulmonary fibrosis groups and saline in controls. Fibrotic changes in lung were estimated to occur by BAL, histology and SIRCOL collagen assay. Using real-time PCR, we assessed the expression of TLRs (TLR 1-9) in pulmonary neurons of bleomycin induced lung fibrosis rat model in comparson with normal controls. Results: Bleomycin challenge caused pulmonary fibrosis with increase in collagen content of lung tissue and typical histological findings. We showed strong expression of TLR-2, TLR-5 in pulmonary neuron of bleomycin fibrosis rats versus normal rats. Conclusions: The concerted alteration of expression of TLRs in pulmonary neurons can be of relevance for understanding the pathogenesis of lung fibrosis.
장기간 홍삼복방제 투여가 혈중 지질 및 체지방 변화에 미치는 영향

장기간의 홍삼복방제 투여가 혈중지질 및 체지방에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 체지방율이 30% 이상인 여학생 28명을 대상으로 위약군(placebo group, n=7명), 홍삼복방제투여군 (red-ginseng product administration group, n=7명), 운동군(exercise group, n=7명), 운동 및 홍삼복방제투여군(exercise<br/> and red-ginseng product administration group, n=7명) 등 네 집단으로 분류하여 12주간의 실험기간에 따른 TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, 체중 및 체지방의 변화를 관찰하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. TC, TG, LDL-C의 경우 실험 12주후 위약군을 제외한 모든 집단에서 유의한[홍삼복방제투여군(p<.001), 운동군(p<.01), 운동 및 홍삼복방제투여군(p<.001)] 감소를 보였다. HDL-C의경우실험 12주후 위약군을 제외한 모든 집단에서 유의하게[홍삼복방제투여군(p<.05), 운동군(p<.01), 운동 및<br/> 홍삼복방제투여군(p<.001)] 증가하였다. 체중, 체지방율, 체지방량의경우실험 12주후 위약군을 제외한 모든 집단에서 유의한[홍삼복방제투여군(p<.001), 운동군(p<.001),운동 및홍삼복방제투여군(p<.001)] 감소를 보였다. 제지방량의 경우 실험 12주후 위약군을 제외한 모든 집단에서 유의하게[홍삼복방제투여군(p<.05), 운동군(p<.001), 운동 및 홍삼복방제투여군(p<.001)] 증가하였다. This study was done in order to evaluate the effects on the blood lipid profiles, the body weight and body fat in 28 healthy female volunteers who had over 30% body fat by the long term intake of red ginseng product. Subjects were divided into four groups (placebo group n=7, red ginseng product group; n=7, exercise group; n=7, exercise & red ginseng product group; n=7). Blood sampling and measuring of the body fat were taken by pre-treatment, 3 weeks, and after 12 weeks.Statistical techniques for data analysis were applied one-way ANOVA and repeated measures ANOVA. The 5% level of significance was used as the critical level for this study. In summary of results, total<br/> cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoproprotein cholesterol were reduced in three groups (red ginseng product group, p<0.001; exercise group, p<0.01; exercise & red ginseng product group, p<0.001) except placebo group. HDL-C was improved in three groups (red ginseng product group, p<0.05; exercise group, p<0.01; exercise & red ginseng product group, p<0.001) except placebo group. Body weight, percent body fat and body fat mass were reduced in three groups (red ginseng product group, p<0.01; exercise group, p<0.01; exercise & red ginseng product group, p<0.001) except placebo group. N/A The leiomyoblastoma of the stomach is an unusual smooth muscle tumor, which was first described by Martin and others in 1960. The gastric leiomyoblastoma is similar to the smooth muscle tumor of leiomyosarcoma in gross and composed of round or polygonal cells instead of spindle cells microscopically. Most of these tumors are benign but some tumors behave in malignant manner. The leiomyoblastoma has better prognosis than other smooth muscle tumors. Recently we experenced a case of leiomyoblastoma of the stomach and report with brief review of literatures.
