Purpose: This study aims to analyze the impact of Brand Anthropomorphism and Intimacy on Brand Engagement, and at the same time analyze the regulatory effect of Brand Reputation on the relationship between Brand Anthropomorphism and Intimacy and the relationship between Intimacy and Brand Engagement in terms of distribution brand. Results: The findings show that Brand Anthropomorphism, Intimacy, and Brand Reputation are important value factors in customers’ minds toward their behavior, and from there, they will contribute to creating positive emotions and interactions between consumers and brands. Research design, data, and methodology: This article used the quantitative technique utilizing PLS-SEM software to test the hypothesis with 1,060 samples. Collected data shows that consumers in Ho Chi Minh City have positive emotions and interactive and social behaviors toward smartphone brands. Conclusion: The study has demonstrated the conclusions and proposed solutions to help smartphone brands build Brand Anthropomorphism while enhancing Brand Reputation thereby achieving Intimacy, which leads to consumer Brand Engagement. In addition, this study complements the concept of Brand Anthropomorphism which is lacking in theoretical background and is the first study in Vietnam to explore the prefixes and suffixes of the concept of Brand Anthropomorphism and the regulatory role of Brand Reputation.
Matrix-scaled Consensus of Network Systems With Uniform Time-delays

Time-delay is an unavoidable factor in analyzing and designing any networked system since in most scenarios, it decreases the performance or even destabilizes the system. In this paper, we study the newly proposed matrix-scaled consensus (MSC) algorithms under the presence of communication time delays. Both networks of single- and double-integrator agents are considered, and for each scenario, a corresponding delay margin will be given. The analysis hinges on the Nyquist stability criteria and the algebraic solution of quasi-polynomials associated with the MSC models. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the correctness of theoretical results.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of yeast extract (YE) and salicylic acid (SA) on the expression of curcuminoid-biosynthesis genes (CzDCS and CURS1-3), and accumulation of curcumin in Curcuma zedoaria cell cultures. The results showed that, in cells treated with YE or SA, the expression levels of curcuminoid genes were 1.14- to 3.64-fold higher than the control (untreated cells), in which the YE exhibited a stronger effect in comparison with SA. Curcumin accumulation also tended to be similar to gene expression, curcumin contents in YE- or SA-treated cells were 1.61- to 2.53-fold higher than the control. The SA treatment at the fifth day of culture stimulated the curcumin accumulation and expression in all four genes compared to that at the beginning. While the YE treatments gave different results, the CzCURS1 and CzCURS3 genes were expressed strongly in cells that were treated at the beginning. However, the CzDCS and CzCURS2 genes showed the opposite expression pattern, they were activated strongly in the treatments at day five of the culture. However, the content of curcumin reached its maximum value on the fifth day of culture in all investigations.
Determinants of Foreign Direct Investment: Evidence from Vietnam

The paper investigates the determinants of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam in 2000-2019 period. This study uses difference Generalized Methods of Moments (GMM) and Pooled Mean Group (PMG) to analyse panel data officially provided by General Statistical Office of Vietnam. The results show that market size impacts positively significant on FDI attraction: 1% -1.45% (PMG) and 1% -1.25% (GMM). Besides, some other factors have positive influences as labor force, macroeconomic policy, macroeconomic stability and skilled labor. Meantime, the trade openness negatively affects FDI inflows in the short-term, while not being statistically significant in the long-term. Moreover, economic shocks often have a negative impact on FDI inflows. The findings of this study lead to the following recommendations. First, authorities should pay special attention to encourage economic growth rate in Vietnam to expand market size because this is the first priority of foreign investors. Second, authorities need to continue increasing the rate of skilled labor, especially highly qualified management force, engineers and well-skilled workers. Third, the authorities should adjust trade openness to boost the role of its determinant in attracting FDI inflows. Fourth, macroeconomic stability needs to be governed by international standards in order to secure the belief of foreign investors in the long-term.
Genome-based fine mapping of the Tomato spotted wilt virus resistance gene, Tsw, in Capsicum

Tsw, a single dominant resistant gene against Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), has been mapped on chromosome 10 in Capsicum chinense species. Previously reported molecular markers linked to the Tsw gene are not transferable for all pepper breeding materials. To develop additional markers and do genome-based fine mapping of the Tsw gene, approaches of mapping comparison, pooled transcriptome analysis, and genome walking were applied. Eleven additional SNP molecular markers tightly linked to the Tsw gene were developed using tomato and pepper whole genome sequencing databases. Among them, four SNP markers, SNP7715-1, SNP68-1, SNP17918-1, and SNP1072-1, showed no recombination in two segregating populations of F2 ‘Telmo’ (210 individuals) and ‘SP’ (843 individuals). Three scaffold sequences from the C. annuum BAC database and two BAC clones from the BAC library of C. annuum ‘CM334’ covering the Tsw gene were identified by transcriptome analysis and genome walking. A pepper scaffold sequence covering three pepper scaffold sequences was identified from a final version of the C. annuum BAC database. The Tsw gene was delimited within 149 kb by alignment analysis of two BAC clone sequences and the pepper scaffold sequence. A total of 22 predicted genes were resided in the target region between SNP7715-1 and SNP1072-1 co-segregating markers. Among them, five predicted genes showing annotations of CC/TIR-NBS-LRR resistance proteins, mRNA-6, mRNA-7, mRNA-11, mRNA-12, and mRNA-13, were identified. The transcriptome analysis and gene expression study showed that the mRNA-13 was expressed in ‘PI152225’ but was absent in ‘Special’, demonstrating the mRNA-13 could be a strong candidate gene for the Tsw gene. This result will be favorable for cloning the Tsw gene and developing cultivars which carry the TSWV-resistance gene.
Molecular Mapping of The Tsw Locus for Resistance to Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) in Capsicum

Tsw, a single dominant resistant gene against Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), has been mapped on chromosome 10 in Capsicum. Previously found molecular markers linked to the Tsw gene are not transferable for all pepper breeding materials. To develop segregating populations for the Tsw, commercial F1 cultivar C. annuum ‘Telmo’ was self-pollinated. An F2 population was obtained from the self-pollination of F1 plants deriving from a cross between C. annuum ‘Special’ and C. chinense ‘PI152225’. Twelve additional molecular markers linked to the Tsw gene were developed using tomato and pepper genome sequence database. A tomato scaffold sequence of 7841 kb in size covering the corresponding region of the Tsw locus was identified based on the sequence of Tsw-linked marker. Analyzing the tomato scaffold sequence, two sequences of pepper scaffold and contig at down and up site of the Tsw locus, respectively, were located. Three SNP markers linked to the Tsw locus (HRM1, HRM2, and HRM3) were developed using the pepper scaffold sequence of 419 kb in size. All three markers showed 2 recombinants (1.0 cM) out of 198 individuals of F2 ‘Telmo’ population. When analyzing these SNP markers in an F2 population deriving from C. annuum ‘Special’ and C. chinense ‘PI152225’, we detected 5 recombinants (0.76 cM) out of 659 individuals. HRM4, a SNP marker linked to the Tsw gene, was developed with a 99 kb pepper contig sequence. It showed 7 recombinants (3.5 cM) out of 198 individuals of F2 ‘Telmo’ population. We found 5 recombinants (0.76 cM) out of 659 individuals when HRM4 was analyzed in F2 population derived from C. annuum ‘Special’ and C. chinense ‘PI152225’. To narrow down the molecular markers linked to the Tsw locus, four SNP markers, HRM5, HRM6, HRM7, and HRM8, were developed with the pepper scaffold sequence. All of them showed 5 recombinants (0.76 cM) out of 659 individuals of F2 ‘SP’ population. Four other SNP markers, HRM9, HRM10, HRM11, and HRM12, were developed using the pepper contig sequence. HRM9 showed 5 recombinants (0.76 cM), HRM10 showed 4 recombinants (0.61 cM), and HRM11 and HRM12 showed 3 recombinants (0.46 cM) out of 659 individuals of F2 ‘SP’ population. The SNP markers developed in this study will be useful for fine mapping of the Tsw gene and for developing cultivars which carry TSWV-resistance gene.

Pd-incorporated Zr-based metal–organic framework containing sulfone groups, named Pd(II)BUT-11, wassuccessfully prepared by dispersing the sulfone-functionalized MOF in Pd(OAc)2 solution. X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy, N2 isotherm sorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and thermogravimetricanalysis were applied to determine the features of the Pd-incorporated MOF. In the catalyticstudies, Pd(II)@BUT-11 was shown to be an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for synthesizing various stilbenederivatives via the cross-coupling Heck reaction with DABCO-derived deep eutectic solvent (DES) asa green solvent. Notably, the catalyst and the solvent could be recovered and reused, with their activityand structure remaining stable throughout several trials. The method provides an alternative solution tothe conventional catalysts and solvents, resulting in a green and efficient stilbene synthesis process. Furthermore, the stilbenes were separated by extraction with ethyl acetate due to the low solubility ofDES with this solvent.

Functionalized metal–organic frameworks have recently received significant attention in heterogeneouscatalysis applications due to their high catalytic activity. In this work, a sulfate-functionalized Hf-clusterbasedmetal–organic framework was prepared via sulfation of a Hf-MOF, named Hf-BTC, constructed byHf6 clusters and 1,3,5-tricarboxylate linkers. The Hf-BTC-SO4 material was consequently demonstrated tobe an efficiently reusable superacid catalyst for a one-pot three-component reaction of pyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazoles synthesis. The reaction catalyzed by the sulfated Hf-BTC could be carried out under mildand solvent-free conditions and give superior performance in a wide range of substrates. According todetailed investigation, the good catalytic performance of the sulfated-functionalized MOF likely originatesfrom the high-porosity framework and the high active sites of the functionalized clusters. Importantly, the catalyst could be easy to recover and reuse the functionalized framework several timeswith minor changes in catalytic efficiency.
