        PCHE is widely used for industrial applications with increasing demand in extreme environments. This study introduced a flow visualization experiment to observe the internal flow in PCHE by using a high-speed camera and investigated the effect of flow path shapes and flow rates, and compared flow distribution. In the experiment for the effect of flow path shapes, the velocity-deviation of I shape was large at 2.28, but the velocity-deviation of N and NR was reduced to 1.04 and 1.05. In the experiment for the effect of flow rates, the velocity deviation was greater than low flow rate at the high flow rate, and the flow distribution was asymmetrical at the high flow rate.

        청대주이존(淸代朱彝尊)<원앙호도가(鴛鴦湖棹歌)>에 대한 화답시 창작 고찰 - 담길총(譚吉璁)과 륙이함(陸以諴)의 ‘다시쓰기’를 중심으로

        This study set out to analyze the phenomenon of responding to Yuanyanghu Zhaoge by Zhu Yizun, which was popular among the intellectuals of Jiaxing during Qing Dynasty, in the aspects of sharing the memories of a certain space called “Jiaxing” and “rewriting.” The literary figures that were his juniors in his hometown were active to write a poem responding to his Yuanyanghu Zhaoge after his death as well as during his life. Believing that there would be differences in main emotions and expressive methods among different poems about the same space of “Jiaxing” in response to the same poem according to the changes of times, this study compared and analyzed Tan Jicong’s response poem before his death and Lu Yixian’s response poem after his death. Response poems to his Yuanyanghu Zhaoge before his death were written in a way of recalling the hometown of Jiaxing and reproducing its memories away from the town. The two poets were in different spaces during the same period and communicated with each other beyond the limitations of space by reproducing their memories of the same space called Jiaxing. Their response poems were written in a way of accepting the original poem and then “rewriting” it. In his response poem, Tan Jicong “rewrote” the original poem in a direction of reducing the emotions as a migrant during the transition time between dynasties and emphasizing the grief of a stranger wandering around places away from his home. Lu Yixian’s response poem to Yuanyanghu Zhaoge written after the death of Zhu Yizun when the politics of Qing Dynasty was stabilized contains no sorrow of a stranger or migrant in the original poem. Instead, Lu Yixian’s response poem developed the ability of poetry writing and showed respect for Zhu Yizun by imitating the original poem and further inherited the cultural tradition as a “refined literary activity.” It also “rewrote” Yuanyanghu Zhaoge as a song to enlighten the people and praise the peaceful times through poetry. These works created in the form of “response” share the memories of a cultural space called “Jiaxing” among generations beyond the limitations of time. In these works, Jiaxing is a “cultural space” with rich economy, pure-hearted people, and long history. Intellectuals of Jiaxing wrote a response poem to Yuanyanghu Zhaoge as an act of passing down the memories of Jiaxing as a cultural space and preserving its value by imitating the refined creative act of their senior literary figure beyond the simple recording of information about Jiaxing.

      • Electricity-generation mix considering energy security and carbon emission mitigation: Case of Korea and Mongolia

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>To compare electricity-generation fuel mixes in two countries with multiple energy policy goals and unique circumstances, we look at three scenarios reflecting the carbon emissions mitigation targets, differences in energy security levels, and electricity-generating costs of each nation. Korea and Mongolia show clear differences in electricity-generation structure related to import dependency, the potential of renewable energy, and threats to energy security. These variations lead to different decisions on the power-generation fuel mix plan.</P> <P>Use of fossil fuel resources in Korea results in carbon dioxide emissions and energy insecurity, while in Mongolia carbon emissions, also from fossil fuels, and energy insecurity are separate concerns as Mongolia domestically operates coal-fired power plants and imports electricity. Policies targeting two objectives, carbon emissions mitigation and energy security improvement, show complementarity in Korea as fossil fuels are replaced by renewables or nuclear power, but represent trade-offs in Mongolia as emissions mitigation and improved energy security cannot be achieved with one strategy. In conclusion, national plans to achieve two goals differ by country: In Korea, the appropriate portion of nuclear energy is the determining policy factor. In Mongolia, carbon capture and storage is the clear alternative for mitigating carbon emissions despite large renewables potential.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Electricity-generation fuel mixes in Korea and Mongolia are compared with multiple energy policy goals. </LI> <LI> The relationship between two policy objectives differs by country. </LI> <LI> Strategies on fuel mixes to achieve goals differ by country. </LI> </UL> </P>

        주이존(朱彛尊) 애정시 <풍회이백운(風懷二百韻)> 고찰

        明末淸初 문단을 대표하는 문인 朱彛尊의 〈風懷二百韻〉은 중국문학사에서 독특한 위치에 있는 작품이다. 이 시는 그동안 애정시의 영역에서는 한 번도 시도되지 않았던 200운에 달하는 장편 五言排律 체제를 활용하였다는 점에서 형식적인 파격을 이루었고, 사회적 금기를 깨는 작자의 실제 愛情事를 다루고 있다는 점에서 내용적인 파격을 이루었다. 본고에서는 이 작품의 구성을 기승전결의 4단계로 나누어 분석하고, `장편 오언배율 체제 활용의 효과`와 `정제된 형태의 자기서사로서의 면모`, `동일한 주제의 다른 작품 속 여성인물 형상과의 차이점과 〈洛神賦〉 전고 활용의 효과`라는 측면에서 작품을 분석하였다.

        淸初 李良年 詞 고찰 ― 浙西詞人의 ‘客’으로서의 비애 정서 표현을 중심으로

        본 연구는 청대 초기 절서사파의 주요 인물 중 하나인 李良年의 사 작품을 분석한 것으로, 생계 유지와 공명의 실현을 목표로 타향을 떠돌아다니던 그의 客으로서의 정서 표현에 초점을 맞추고자 한다. 절서사파는 초기 6인의 절서사인을 중심으로 발전하였는데, 李良年을 포함한 이들 중 상당수는 같은 지역 출신이었을 뿐만 아니라, 幕府를 떠돌며 관리를 보좌하는 遊幕 생활을 하였다는 공통점이 있었고 이 과정에서의 경험과 다양한 문인들과의 교유는 그들의 문학에도 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 李良年은 왕조교체기라는 특수한 시대적 상황 속에서 遊幕 생활을 경험하고 관직을 구하기 위해 수차례 상경하고 좌절하는 과정을 겪었다. 이 과정에서 그는 스스로를 ‘客’으로 규정하고 그 비애를 사의 창작을 통해 토로하였다. 이때 그는 망국민으로서 자신을 인식하면서도 유민에서 벗어나 공명을 추구하고자 하는 욕구를 드러내며, 자신을 '객'으로 살게 만든 공명의 추구와 속세에서 벗어나 은거하고자 하는 열망 속에서 갈등하다 결국 둘 모두 이루지 못하는 좌절감을 드러낸다. 또한 동일한 처지에 놓인 다른 문인들과 공감하면서 일시적으로 비애를 해소하기도 한다. 이러한 비애의 감정은 직접적이고 격렬하게 표출되기보다는 은밀하며 함축적으로 드러나는데, 그에 따라 직접적으로 자신의 감정을 말하기보다는 특정한 분위기를 형성하거나 감정을 은밀하게 드러낼 수 있는 감각 이미지를 나열하고, 사물이나 그림에 대해 노래하며 그것의 감정을 ‘대신 이야기'함으로써 작자의 감정을 이입하는 방식을 사용하여 간접적으로 비애를 표출하였다. This study aims to analyze the Ci poetry of Li Liangnian, who was one of the main members of Zhexi Cipai in early Qing Dynasty, with a focus on his emotional expressions as a guest that wandered around places away from home under the goal of maintaining his livelihood and distinguishing himself. Zhexi Cipai developed around Zhexi Ciren comprised of six initial members. Many of them including Li Liangnian were not only from the same area, but also led a youmu life to assist mufu officials while wandering around various places. Their experiences in this process and their social intercourse with various literary figures had huge impacts on their literature. In a special situation of the times when there was a change of dynasty, Li Liangnian experienced a youmu life and repeated the process of going up to the capital to get a government post and getting frustrated several times. In this process, he defined himself as a wanderer and stranger himself and expressed sad feelings associated with it by creating Ci poems. He talked about sympathy, consolation, and limitations of consolation with other literary figures in the same circumstance as him, having conflicts between his pursuit of honors that made him live as a “guest” and his desire for retirement away from the world and revealing his frustration with failing to achieve both of them in the end. Rather than expressing his sorrow in direct and vehement ways, he used composed and secret implications. Instead of talking about his emotions directly, he created a certain mood, listed images to display his emotions secretly, sang about objects or paintings, and described their emotions “vicariously” to immerse his emotions as a writer into them. It was related to the creative tendency of Zhexi Ciren that sought after ya rather than su and reflected the sentiments of literary figures in those days when their expressions withered due to the situation of a change of dynasty.

        Comparison of Membrane Currents in Xenopus Oocytes in Response to Injection of Calcium Influx Factor(CIF) and Depletion of Intracellular Calcium Stores

        The depletion of intracellular calcium stores by thapsigargin treatment evoked extracellular calcium-dependent membrane currents in Xenopus laevis oocytes. These currents have been compared to those evoked by microinjection of a calcium influx factor (CIF) purified from Jurkat T lymphocytes. The membrane currents elicited by thapsigargin treatment (peak current, 163±60 nA) or CIF injection (peak current, 897±188 nA) were both dependent on calcium entry, based o their eradication by the removal of extracellular calcium. The currents were, in both cases, attributed primarily to well-characterized Ca²+-dependent Cl- currents, based on their similar reversal potentials (-24 mV vs. -28 mV) and their inhibition by niflumic acid (a Cl²+ channel blocker). Currents induced by either thapsigargin treatment or CIF injection exhibited an identical pattern of inhibitory sensitivity to a panel of lanthanides, suggesting that thapsigargin treatment or CIF injection evoked Cl currents by stimulating calcium influx through pharmacologically identical calcium channels. These results indicate that CIF acts on the same calcium entry pathway activated by the depletion of calcium stores and most lanthanides are novel pharmacological tools for the study of calcium entry in Xenopus oocytes.

      • 프레임 율 변환을 위한 새로운 비용함수를 사용한 움직임 추정 기법

        본 논문에서는 새로운 움직임 추정(motion estimation, ME) 방식을 사용한 프레임 비율 변환(frame rate conversion, FRC) 기법에 대해 제안한다. 기존의 프레임 비율 변환을 위한 움직임 추정 방식은 영상 압축에서 사용되고 있는 SAD를 사용하여 블록(block) 단위로 움직임 벡터를 추정하는 방식에 기초를 두고 있다. 그러나 잔여 신호(residual signal)를 저장하는 영상 압축과 달리, 잘못된 움직임 추정은 합성된 출력 영상에서 심각한 품질 저하를 가져올 수 있다. 이를 보완하기 위해 움직임 개선(motion refinement, MR)이 사용되고 있지만, 근본적인 해결을 위해서는 정확한 움직임 추정 알고리즘 사용이 필요하다. 특히 SAD를 통한 움직임 추정은 고르지 못한 움직임 벡터장(motion vector field, MVF) 을 형성할 수 있으며, 종래의 연구에서 이를 해결하기 위해 SAD(sum of absolute difference)에 벡터의 공간제약(spatial constraint) 항목을 추가하여 비교적 고른 움직임 벡터장을 형성하는 방식이 제시되었다. SAD와 공간 제약 항목의 반영 비율에 따라 움직임 벡터의 중요성과 움직임 벡터장의 일관성이 서로 상충하는데, 기존의 방식은 이 비율을 일정한 상수(constant)값을 사용하고 있으며, 이러한 방식은 이미지의 특성에 따라 결과가 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 SAD와 공간 제약 항목 사이의 반영 비율을 이미지의 특성에 적응하는 방식을 사용하는 움직임 예측을 제시하고, 수행한 결과를 기존의 방식에 의한 결과와 비교하였다.
