      • Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> magnetic nanoparticles provide a novel alternative strategy for Staphylococcus aureus bone infection

        Due to its biofilm formation and colonization of the osteocyte-lacuno canalicular network (OLCN), Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) implant-associated bone infection (SIABI) is difficult to cure thoroughly, and may occur recurrently subsequently after a long period dormant. It is essential to explore an alternative therapeutic strategy that can eradicate the pathogens in the infected foci. To address this, the polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) bone cement and Fe3O4 nanoparticles compound cylinder were developed as implants based on their size and mechanical properties for the alternative magnetic field (AMF) induced thermal ablation, The PMMA mixed with optimized 2% Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> nanoparticles showed an excellent antibacterial efficacy in vitro. It was evaluated by the CFU, CT scan and histopathological staining on a rabbit 1-stage transtibial screw model. The results showed that on week 7, the CFU of infected soft tissue and implants, and the white blood cells (WBCs) of the PMMA+2% Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>+AMF group decreased significantly from their controls (p<0.05). PMMA+2% Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>+AMF group did not observe bone resorption, periosteal reaction, and infectious reactive bone formation by CT images. Further histopathological H&E and Gram Staining confirmed there was no obvious inflammatory cell infiltration, neither pathogens residue nor noticeably burn damage around the infected screw channel in the PMMA+2% Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>+AMF group. Further investigation of nanoparticle distributions in bone marrow medullary and vital organs of heart, liver, spleen, lung, and kidney. There were no significantly extra Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> nanoparticles were observed in the medullary cavity and all vital organs either. In the current study, PMMA+2% Fe<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub>+AMF shows promising therapeutic potential for SIABI by providing excellent mechanical support, and promising efficacy of eradicating the residual pathogenic bacteria in bone infected lesions.

        심리운동과 게슈탈트 치료의 동화통합 연구

        이 연구는 심리 치료의 동화통합(Assimilative integration) 접근 방식을 시작으로, 심리운동(Psychomotorik)과 게슈탈트 치료(Gestalt therapy)라는 두 가지 치료 이론 간의 공통점을 중점적으로 탐구하고, 두 이론의 종합적 방법을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구를 위해, Google 학술 및 RISS를 통해 광범위한 문헌 검색을 하였다. 연구의 핵심 키워드로는 ‘심리운동’과 ‘게슈탈트 치료’를 포함하여 관련 학술 자료를 분석하기 위해 사용되었다. 연구 결과는 두 치료 이론이 많은 공통점을 가지고 있음을 보여준다. 첫째, 심리운동과 게슈탈트 치료 모두 전체성을 중시하며, 신체와 정신의 분리된 이원론을 반대한다. 둘째, 두 이론 모두 환경이 인간에게 미치는 영향을 강조하며, 내담자가 능동적으로 회복할 수 있는 환경을 만들도록 돕는다. 셋째, 두 이론 모두 현상학을 주요 연구 수단으로 사용하며, 결과가 아닌 과정에 중점을 둔다. 넷째, 두 이론 모두 실제 적용방법을 강조하며, 다양한 창의적 활동을 개발하려고 시도한다. 다섯째, 두 방법 모두 사회적 상호작용의 중요성을 강조하며, 사람과의 교류를 통해 새로운 관점을 개발하거나 능력을 향상한다. 여섯째, 두 이론 모두 내담자와 치료사의 관계를 평등하고 동등한 관계가 되도록 지향하여 내담자가 스스로 자기를 발견할 수 있도록 돕는다. 이론의 초기 관심사가 다르기 때문에, 이 연구는 치료 목표와 치료 방법 측면에서 두 이론의 차이점을 탐구하고, 위와 같이 탐구한 두 가지 이론의 공통점과 차이점을 바탕으로 치료 목표, 방법, 내용, 시작점, 역할 관계 다섯 가지 측면에서 심리운동과 게슈탈트 치료 이론의 종합 방법의 가능성을 논의하며, 이러한 종합 방법이 효과적인 치료 수단이 될 수 있음을 제안하였다. Diese Studie geht von der Perspektive der Assimilation Integration in der Psychotherapie aus und konzentriert sich darauf, die Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen der Psychomotorik und der Gestalttherapie zu untersuchen und es wird versucht, umfassende Methoden zu erforschen, welche die beiden Ansätze miteinander vereinen. Für diese Untersuchung wurde eine umfassende Literaturrecherche über Google Scholar und RISS durchgeführt. Die Schlüsselwörter der Forschung umfassten “Psychomotorik” und “Gestalttherapie”, um relevantes wissenschaftliches Material für eine Analyse zu erhalten. Die Forschungsergebnisse zeigen, dass die beiden zuvor genannten Therapietheorien mehrere Gemeinsamkeiten aufweisen. Erstens betonen sowohl die Psychomotorik als auch die Gestalttherapie die Ganzheitlichkeit und lehnen eine dualistische Trennung von Körper und Geist ab. Zweitens betonen beide den Einfluss der Umgebung auf den Menschen und helfen dem Individuum bei der Schaffung einer Umgebung, welche die positive Genesung unterstützt. Drittens verwenden beide Ansätze die Phänomenologie als Hauptforschungsmethode, wobei der Prozess und nicht das Ergebnis hervorgehoben wird. Viertens betonen beide Theorien die Anwendung praktischer Aktivitäten und versuchen dabei eine Vielzahl innovativer Aktivitäten zu entwickeln. Fünftens heben beide Methoden die Bedeutung sozialer Interaktionen hervor und fördern durch zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen die Entwicklung neuer Perspektiven sowie die Verbesserung von Fähigkeiten. Als letzter Punkt befürworten sowohl die Gestalttherapie als auch die Psychomotorik den Aufbau einer gleichberechtigten Beratungsbeziehung, um die Selbsterkenntnis und das persönliche Wachstum des jeweiligen Individuums zu fördern. Aufgrund der verschiedenen ursprünglichen Anliegen der Theorien untersucht diese Studie die Unterschiede zwischen den beiden Theorien in Bezug auf Therapieziele und -methoden und diskutiert die Möglichkeit der Integration der Psychomotorik sowie der Gestalttherapie in den fünf Bereichen: Therapieziele, Methoden, Inhalt, Ausgangspunkt und Rollenbeziehungen. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass diese integrierte Methode dann als ein effektives therapeutisches Mittel benutzt werden kann.

        A Novel Network Anomaly Detection Method based on Data Balancing and Recursive Feature Addition

        Network anomaly detection system plays an essential role in detecting network anomaly and ensuring network security. Anomaly detection system based machine learning has become an increasingly popular solution. However, due to the unbalance and high-dimension characteristics of network traffic, the existing methods unable to achieve the excellent performance of high accuracy and low false alarm rate. To address this problem, a new network anomaly detection method based on data balancing and recursive feature addition is proposed. Firstly, data balancing algorithm based on improved KNN outlier detection is designed to select part respective data on each category. Combination optimization about parameters of improved KNN outlier detection is implemented by genetic algorithm. Next, recursive feature addition algorithm based on correlation analysis is proposed to select effective features, in which a cross contingency test is utilized to analyze correlation and obtain a features subset with a strong correlation. Then, random forests model is as the classification model to detection anomaly. Finally, the proposed algorithm is evaluated on benchmark datasets KDD Cup 1999 and UNSW_NB15. The result illustrates the proposed strategies enhance accuracy and recall, and decrease the false alarm rate. Compared with other algorithms, this algorithm still achieves significant effects, especially recall in the small category.

        Photodynamic antibacterial micro/nanofiber composite membrane with high efficiency and low resistance filtration performance for medical protective materials

        Bacterial infection is one of the major threats to human health worldwide, posing a great challenge to thedevelopment of medical protective materials with efficient filtration and long-lasting antimicrobial properties. In this study, electrospinning technology and non-woven fabrics were combined to construct amicro/nano-structured photodynamic rechargeable and storable antibacterial filtration composite membrane. The filtration efficiency of the composite membrane is as high as 99.99% for 0.5–5 lm particles,and the resistance pressure drop is 85 Pa. In addition, the release of OH and H2O2 from the compositefilm reached 5326.16 lg/g and 711.93 lg/g, respectively. After 7 cycles of quenching, the charging capacityretains more than 70 % of the original. It showed good antimicrobial properties even when storedunder dark conditions for one month. The bactericidal efficiency of the composite membrane againstE. coli and S. aureus exceeded 99% under both dark and light conditions. The development of this simpleand clean micro/nanofiber membrane provides a new idea for exploring photoactive antimicrobial andfiltration materials for medical protection.

        Detection of Listeria monocytogenes in CSF from Three Patients with Meningoencephalitis by Next-Generation Sequencing

        Background and Purpose Encephalitis caused by Listeria monocytogenes (L. monocyto¬genes) is rare but sometimes fatal. Early diagnosis is difficult using routine cerebrospinal flu¬id (CSF) tests, while next-generation sequencing (NGS) is increasingly being used for the detection and characterization of pathogens. Methods This study set up and applied unbiased NGS to detect L. monocytogenes in CSF collected from three cases of clinically suspected listeria meningoencephalitis. Results Three cases of patients with acute/subacute meningoencephalitis are reported. Magnetic resonance imaging and blood cultures led to a suspected diagnosis of L. monocy¬togenes, while the CSF cultures were negative. Unbiased NGS of CSF identified and se¬quenced reads corresponding to L. monocytogenes in all three cases. Conclusions This is the first report highlighting the feasibility of applying NGS of CSF as a diagnostic method for central nervous system (CNS) L. monocytogenes infection. Routine application of this technology in clinical microbiology will significantly improve diagnostic methods for CNS infectious diseases.
