Transceiver Designs for Multipoint-to-Multipoint MIMO Amplify-and-Forward Relaying Systems

<P>In this paper, we consider multipoint-to-multipoint multi-input multi-output relay systems where multiple source-destination pairs simultaneously communicate through a single multiple antenna relay. In this system configuration, we optimize two metrics when designing the source, relay and destination filters. The first one is sum mean-squared-error (MSE) and the second one is maximum pairwise MSE. These two problems are shown to be non-convex, and thus it is quite complex to find an analytical solution. To address this issue, we first introduce the sum MSE minimization scheme based on global channel state information (CSI) at all nodes. Then, a method which reduces complexity and CSI requirements is proposed by utilizing error covariance decomposition and MSE duality between broadcast channel and multiple access channel. Second, the pairwise MSE balancing algorithms are developed to guarantee fairness for all pairs. Similar to the case of the sum MSE minimization problem, we simplify the original pairwise MSE balancing problem to a second-order cone programming problem which can be solved using standard optimization tools. Through numerical simulations, we confirm the effectiveness of our proposed schemes.</P>

Recently there has been increasing the population of the elderly, the welfare of the elderly is no longer family's and personal problems. It is a social issue that the communities have a role to supply the systematic welfare service of the elderly and the facilities. Therefore It is needed to study the extended function and role of Gyungrodang because Gyungrodang is the most wide spreaded welfare service facilities for the normal elderly in urban single housing district. The subject of this study is to propose the facilities' program improvement method for the Gyungrodang that hold a extended role as a community welfare service facility for the elderly. This paper Is assessed as an sustainable research of normalization of the old people's living. By the comparison analysis of the existing Gyungrodang in Daejeon City and the investigation results of the welfare service present condition of the elderly in Daejeon City, finally the facilities' program improvement direction for the Gyungrodang is proposed.

<P>Mill scale, an iron waste, was used to synthesize magnetite particles for the adsorption of phosphate from an aqueous solution. Several techniques were used to characterize the adsorbents. Mill scale-derived magnetite particles exhibited a strong uptake affinity to phosphate in a wide pH range of 3-7, with the maximum adsorptive removal of 100% at an adsorbent concentration of 1 g/L and pH 3-5. The Langmuir isotherm model well described the equilibrium data, exhibiting maximum adsorption capacities for phosphate up to 4.95 and 8.79 mg/g at 298 and 308 K, respectively. Kinetic data correlated well with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model, indicating that chemisorption is involved in the adsorption process. The phosphate adsorption was highly pH-dependent, and the presence of Cl-, SO42-, and CO32- ions had no effect on phosphate removal. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) results revealed that phosphate was bonded onto the surface of magnetite predominantly through bidentate complexation. Desorption was performed on mill scale-derived magnetite to check recyclability. Five successive adsorption/regeneration cycles were successfully applied with a slight decrease in the adsorbent adsorption capacity. (C) 2017 American Society of Civil Engineers.</P>
