<P>A thrombus (blood clot) is formed in injured vessels to maintain the integrity of vasculature. However, obstruction of blood vessels by thrombosis slows blood flow, leading to death of tissues fed by the artery and is the main culprit of various life-threatening cardiovascular diseases. Herein, we report a rationally designed nano medicine that could specifically image obstructed vessels and inhibit thrombus formation. On the basis of the physicochemical and biological characteristics of thrombi such as an abundance of fibrin and an elevated level of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), we developed a fibrin-targeted imaging and antithrombotic nanomedicine, termed FTIAN, as a theranostic system for obstructive thrombosis. FTIAN inhibited the generation of H2O2 and suppressed the expression of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and soluble CD40 ligand (sCD40L) in activated platelets, demonstrating its intrinsic antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiplatelet activity. In a mouse model of ferric chloride (FeCl3)-induced carotid thrombosis, FTIAN specifically targeted the obstructive thrombus and significantly enhanced the fluorescence/photoacoustic signal. When loaded with the antiplatelet drug tirofiban, FTIAN remarkably suppressed thrombus formation. Given its thrombus-specific imaging along with excellent therapeutic activities, FTIAN offers tremendous translational potential as a nanotheranostic agent for obstructive thrombosis.</P>

<P>A polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) film with its surface being oxidized by a plasma treatment or a UV-ozone (UVO) treatment, that is, a bilayer made of PDMS and its oxidized surface layer, is known to roll into a cylindrical structure upon exposure to the chloroform vapor due to the mismatch in the swelling ratio between PDMS and the oxidized layer by the chloroform vapor. Here we analyzed the formation of the rolled bilayer with the mechanical aspects: how the mismatch in the swelling ratio of the bilayer induces rolling of the bilayer, why any form of trigger that breaks the symmetry in the in-plane stress level is needed to roll the bilayer uniaxially, why the rolled bilayer does not unroll in the dry state when there is no more mismatch in the swelling ratio, and how the measured curvature of rolled bilayer matches well with the prediction by the theory. Moreover, for the use of the rolled bilayer as the channel of the microfluidic device, we examined whether the rolled bilayer deforms or unrolls by the flow of the aqueous solution that exerts the circumferential stress on the rolled bilayer.</P>

이 글은 아도르노의 칸트 윤리학 비판을 재구성하여 검토한다. 우선 ‘이론주의’라는 용어를 통해서, 아도르노의 칸트 윤리학 비판이 무엇을 겨냥하는지를 구체화 한다. 이를 통해, 칸트의 순수실천이성 개념의 ‘탈실천화’와 ‘탈대상화’에 주목하는 아도르노의 비판은 행위이론적 문제설정을 그 배경으로 하고 있음이 드러날 것이다. 이어서, 칸트 윤리학에 대한 아도르노의 비판에서 가장 핵심적인 역할을 수행하는 ‘충동(Impuls)’ 개념의 함의가 분석된다. 아도르노는 ‘충동’ 개념에 관해서 독특한 신조어를 사용하기도 하는데, ‘덧붙여진 것(Hinzutretende)’이라는 개념이 그것이다. ‘덧붙여진 것’과 실천이성의 관계를 ‘비동일적인 것’과 동일성사유의 관계의 연장선상에서 분석함으로써, 아도르노의 칸트 윤리학 비판이 ‘합리주의적인 이성의 윤리학 대 비합리주의적인 충동의 윤리학’이라는 구도로 귀결될 수 없다는 점이 밝혀진다. 결론에서는 칸트의 ‘구 정언명법’과 아도르노의 ‘신 정언명법’을 비교하면서, 아도르노가 어떤 지점에서 칸트 윤리학을 거부하는지, 또 그럼에도 불구하고 왜 아도르노는 어떤 의미에서는 여전히 ‘칸트주의자’인지가 언급된다. This article reconstructs and examines Theodor W. Adorno’s critique of the Kantian moral philosophy. First, using the term ‘theoreticism’, this article articulates what Adorno's critique aims at. The term ‘theoreticism’ will reveal that Adorno’s critique, focusing on ‘depracticalization’ and ‘deobjectification’ - which are immanent in Kant's concept of pure practical reason -, is grounded on the action-theoretical problematics. Subsequently, we analyze the implications of the concept of ‘impulse,’ which plays the most important role in Adorno's critique. Adorno uses a unique neologism for the concept of impulse ; “the addendum(Das Hinzutretende)”. By interpreting the relationship between the addendum and the practical reason as continuous with the relationship between “the non-identical” and the “identitythinking” - which is a more general theme of Adorno’s philosophy -, we reveal that Adorno’s critique of the Kantian ethics cannot collapse into the cliche of “rationalistic ethics of reason versus. irrationalistic ethics of impulse.” In conclusion, comparing Kant’s categorical imperative with Adorno’s “new categorical imperative”, we remark that although Adorno rejects the Kantian ethics at some point, in a sense, he is still “a Kantian”, by insisting on an irreducible remainder of rationality.

Recently, face recognition is widely used in IoT device. However deep learning technology, which requires a lot of computing power and memory resource, is not suitable for edge computing device. We propose face recognition system based on lightweight edge computing with feature extraction to overcome limited hardware resource. We have demonstrated that the proposed system shows 95% test accuracy with only 16 input features and the number of activated neuron is suitable for our light weight artificial intelligence engine.

소프트웨어 프로세스는 소프트웨어의 품질 및 생산성을 결정하는 가장 중요한 요소라는 점에서 프로세스 테일러링은 프로젝트의 성공 여부를 결정하는 매우 중요한 활동이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 프로세스 테일러링은 일반적으로 전문가의 지식 및 경험에 의존하는 경향을 보이고 있어, 프로세스의 품질이 전문가의 개인 능력에 좌우되는 문제를 가지고 있다. 이를 보완하기 위해 본 연구에서는 사례 기반 추론을 바탕으로 하여 기존에 효과적으로 수행된 프로세스와 그에 따른 테일러링 내역을 지식화하여 활용함으로써 고품질의 프로세스를 수립할 수 있도록 지원하기 위한 기법을 제공하였다. 또한 기법의 활용성을 제고하기 위하여 지식 기반의 프로세스 테일러링 및 관리를 자동화하기 위한 도구인 KSTART를 개발하였다. 본 연구의 활용을 통해 테일러링에 소요되는 어려움을 경감하고 테일러링 활동의 효율성과 효과성을 높이는 데 기여할 수 있으며, 나아가 효율적으로 수립된 프로세스의 적용을 통해 프로젝트의 생산성 및 품질 향상에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Software processes have been recognized as a main factor for determining the productivity and quality of software. However, tailoring software process mainly relies on experts’ personal knowledge and experiences, so that the quality of the software process depends on the experts' personal capability. To resolve these problems, we propose a systematic approach to managing the experiences and knowledge on process tailoring for establishing high-quality processes. We developed a tool ‘KSTART’ to utilize the applicability of the approach. We believe that this approach reduces the effort for tailoring and makes the tailoring activity effective and efficient. Moreover, an efficient software process obtained through the efficient tailoring improves productivity and quality of a project.
