Teukyakmaip System of Large Retailers

Purpose - The debate over comprehensive measures to regulate unfair practices of large retailers is heating up in Korea, especially with regard to the frequent violations of the Teukyakmaip system by large retailers and its adverse effects on retail industry. The aim of this article is to explore and examine both benefits and consequences of the ‘Teukyakmaip’ system, to provide comprehensive and accurate information to decision makers, and to benefit the distribution industry. Research design – This research is designed to explore and assess the specific policy. As such, comprehensive analyses of the background and current status of the policy based on secondary data are employed. Telephone and personal interviews were conducted with employees of department stores and suppliers. Results – The research findings suggest that there are benefits and consequences of the system for both large retailers and suppliers. Conclusions – Promoting economic efficiency, eradicating monopoly and oligopolistic business structures, and combating unfair trade and business practices are the key and necessary variables in determining the success of this public policy debate and enactment.
The Characteristics of Condensation in Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers with Di erent Chevron Angles

Experiments to measure the condensation heat transfer coecient and the pressure drop in brazed plate heat exchangers (BPHEs) were performed with the refrigerants R410A and R22. Brazed plate heat exchangers with dierent chevron angles of 45, 35, and 20 were used. Varying the mass ux, the condensation temperature, and the vapor quality of the refrigerant, we measured the condensation heat transfer coecients and the pressure drops. Both the heat transfer coecient and the pressure drop increased proportionally with the mass ux and the vapor quality and inversely with the condensation temperature and the chevron angle. Correlations of the Nusselt number and the friction factor with the geometric parameters are suggested for the tested BPHEs.
Growth of nanocrystalline 3C-SiC a on Si substrate by Plasma-enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition

3C-SiC films were deposited on a silicon (100) substrate by a plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) technique using a gas mixture of SiCl4/CH4/H2/Ar in the temperature range between 1170oC and 1335oC. The Crystallinity of deposited films was investigated by varying the deposition temperature, input gas ratio, Rx [=CH4/(CH4+H2)], and r.f. power. The PECVD method effectively enhanced the deposition rate compared with TCVD (thermal chemical vapor deposition). The highest preferred orientation of deposited 3C-SiC layers was found to be the (111) plane. The crystallinity of 3C-SiC on the Si substrate was significantly influenced by the Rx value and improved with decreasing Rx. The free silicon was co-deposited with 3C-SiC. The content of free silicon was decreased with increasing the deposition temperature and decreasing the Rx value. 3C-SiC films which had a relatively good crystallinity were obtained at a deposition temperature of 1270oC, an input gas ratio of Rx=0.04, and an r.f. power of 60 Watt.

Path planning method for an autonomous mobile robot is considered. For the practical applications, the simplified local potential field methods are applied under the constraints of the driving condition. To improve the performance, the fuzzy-approximated linear function method is also used.
P057 : Acral lentiginous melanoma arsing from small and medium sized congenital melanocytic nevi

Background: Congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN) are classified as small, medium, and giant according to their size. Giant CMN are well known risk factors for the development of melanoma. But, the risk of melanoma in small and medium sized CMN is controversial and there is few study for evaluation of melanoma risk in patient with small and medium sized CMN in Asian patients. Objectives: We investigate to evaluate a relationship between small and medium sized CMN and acral lentiginous melanoma (ALM). Methods: A total of 73 patients with histologically confirmed ALM who were received surgical treatment and follow up more than 1year were included. We divided them into 2 groups according to arising or not from the CMN (CMN group = 18, Non-CMN group = 55) and compare the both groups in clinicopathological features. Also, clinicopathological feature was compared in each subgroup of CMN group according to size. Results: The proportion of small or medium sized CMN in the patients with ALM (24.7%) is higher than those in previous studies (7.9-15%). CMN group showed earlier onset age (47.89±10.67) than those of non-CMN group (59.40±14.89) (p=0.034). There is no different other clinicopathologic parameters between CMN group and Non-CMN group. In CMN group, more larger CMN tends to have larger primary tumor size (p=0.024) and deeper tumor depth (p=0.048). Conclusion: Our data shows that ALM arising from CMN occurs at earlier age and small and medium sized CMN have a higher malignant potential than we expect.

In this paper, an intelligent demand control system was introduced This system are composed of demand controller, RTU, power line modem and HMI program The proposed demand controller was capable of synchronizing with watt-hour meter recommended by KEPCO(Korea Electrical Power Corporation) To control remote loads, network function using powerline communication is implemented in RTU with HMI program and novices are able to operate system easily Additionally using the power line, the cost and time of installation can b saved, The system performance was proved with a several experiments.<br/>
