Facile One-Pot Synthesis and Optical Properties of Quinary Wurtzite Cu3ZnInSnS6 Nanocrystals

        Dehui Li,Chen Zhang,Yajie Zhang,Weichen Qi,Jinxiang Dong,Jing Yang,Zhidong Qiu 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2016 NANO Vol.11 No.11

Nearly monodisperse bullet-like Cu3ZnInSnS6 (CZITS) nanocrystals with wurtzite structure were successfully synthesized through optimized noninjection method. The structure, composition, morphology and optical properties of CZITS nanocrystals were characterized by X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive spectrometry, transmission electron microscopy and UV-Vis–NIR absorption. Their suitable bandgap and photoresponsive behavior indicate a high potential application in the field of solar cells. The growth mechanism of the as-synthesized CZITS nanocrystals was preliminarily discussed. It was found that the formation of CZITS could be separated into two steps: nucleation of Cu7S4 and growth of the CZITS main body.

One-Pot Synthesis of Zincblende CuInSe2 Nanocrystals via a Green Solution Reaction Route

        Dehui Li,Weichen Qi,Jinglei Xiao,Jing Yang,Yong Wu,Qiao Gao,Shengyong Zhai 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2017 NANO Vol.12 No.9

The facile and ecofriendly method for the synthesis of a suitable colloidal nanocrystal ink plays an important role in the field of solar cells. Here, we describe our recent efforts toward this direction by a simple one-pot colloidal method to engineer CuInSe2 (CISe) nanocrystals with cubic zinc-blende (ZB) structure. The suitable band gap value and obvious photoresponse of the as-synthesized CISe nanocrystals indicate their potential application in the field of thin film solar cells. In addition, a possible crystal growth mechanism has been suggested for the formation of ZB CISe.

Interaction Between Serum/Glucocorticoid-Regulated Kinase 1 and Interleukin-6 in Chronic Rhinosinusitis

        Lai Yuting,Hu Li,Yang Lu,Hu Xianting,Song Xiaole,Yang Jingyi,Li Hongbin,Chen Kun,Li Huabin,Wang Dehui 대한천식알레르기학회 2021 Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Research Vol.13 No.5

Purpose: Serum/glucocorticoid-regulated kinase 1 (SGK1) has recently emerged as a critical regulator of inflammatory diseases. In this study, we examined SGK1 expression and its possible pathogenic roles in chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Methods: Immunohistochemistry, western blotting, Bio-Plex assay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction were performed to assess protein and gene expression levels. The mRNA expression levels of SGK1 and interleukin-6 (IL-6) were extracted from a CRS database to perform correlation analysis. Stable cell lines with SGK1 overexpression (16HBE) and knockdown (A549) were constructed to investigate the interaction between SGK1 and IL-6 in vitro. Results: SGK1 exhibited strong cytoplasmic and nuclear staining in the epithelial layers and the lamina propria of nasal polyps (NPs) and in the mucosal tissues of CRS without nasal polyps (CRSsNP). The mRNA and protein expression levels of SGK1 and IL-6 were significantly increased in NPs and CRSsNP tissues, compared to control tissues. SGK1 phosphorylation was significantly greater in NPs than in CRSsNP tissues (P < 0.01). The mRNA levels of SGK1 and IL-6 were significantly correlated (P < 0.001, r = 0.649). Exposure to IL-6 significantly increased SGK1 expression in cultured dispersed NP cells, 16HBE cells, and A549 cells. IL-6 expression was significantly down-regulated in SGK1-overexpressing 16HBE cells (P < 0.01) and significantly up-regulated in SGK1-knockdown A549 cells (P < 0.05). Administration of GSK650394, a SGK1 inhibitor, significantly increased IL-6 self-induced mRNA expression in cultured dispersed NP cells and 16HBE cells. Conclusions: The interaction between SGK1 and IL-6 may play an anti-inflammatory role in IL-6-induced inflammation in the pathogenesis of CRS.

Characterization of biomedical hydroxyapatite/magnesium composites prepared by powder metallurgy assisted with microwave sintering

        Guangyao Xiong,Yanjiao Nie,Dehui Ji,Jing Li,Chunzhi Li,Wei Li,Yong Zhu,Honglin Luo,Yizao Wan 한국물리학회 2016 Current Applied Physics Vol.16 No.8

Microwave assisted sintering has attracted much attention due to the greatly reduced sintering time. In this work, for the first time, hydroxyapatite (HAp)-reinforced magnesium (Mg) composites were prepared by the microwave assisted sintering technique. The as-prepared HAp/Mg composites were characterized by mechanical and electrochemical tests, XRD analysis, and preliminary biological evaluation. Optical microscopy observation confirms the homogeneously distributed HAp particles in the Mg matrix. It is shown that the relative density of HAp/Mg composite with 10 wt% HAp can reach 96.5% after only 10 min microwave assisted sintering. Furthermore, the mechanical properties of HAp/Mg composites are significantly higher than those of pure Mg. The corrosion resistance of HAp/Mg composites evaluated by immersion and electrochemical measurements in simulated body fluid (SBF) at 37 C reveals significant improvement over pure Mg. It is demonstrated that the mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and biological behavior can be properly controlled by adjusting HAp content.

First-order mixed integer-valued autoregressive processes with zero-inflated generalized power series innovations

Cong Li,Dehui Wang,Haixiang Zhang 한국통계학회 2015 Journal of the Korean Statistical Society Vol.44 No.2

To model zero-inflated time series of counts, we propose a first-order mixed integer-valued autoregressive process with zero-inflated generalized power series innovations. These innovations contain the commonly used zero-inflated Poisson and geometric distributions. Strict stationarity, ergodicity of the process, and some important probabilistic properties such as the transition probabilities, the k-step ahead conditional mean and variance are obtained. The conditional maximum likelihood estimators for the parameters in this process are derived and the performances of the estimators are studied via simulation. As illustration, an application to an offence data set is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Synthesis and evaluation of TiN–WC/TiN nanocomposite by the hybrid technique with arc ion plating and magnetron sputtering

        Shihong Zhang,Dehui Li,윤재홍,Tongyul Cho 한국물리학회 2010 Current Applied Physics Vol.10 No.3

By adjusting the power of WC target, novel TiN–WC films with different proportions of WC phase were prepared on TiN interlayer using the hybrid technique of arc ion plating (AIP) and magnetron sputtering (MS). The TiN–WC films were characterized by XRD, XPS, AFM, FESEM, Nano-indenter, and UMT-2MT tribometer. The TiN–WC film that is composed with TiN and WC phases was grown by 15–25 nm nanodotes along the primarily growth direction TiN (1 1 1) in AIP interlayer. Among the three TiN–WC films deposited at various powers of WC target, the TiN–WC2 (500 W) has the highest deposition rate of 1.4 nm/min. The content of WC phase increases as WC target power increases in the TiN–WC films. However, the deposition rate of TiN–WC film gains at first and then declines when WC target power exceeds 500W because of the addictive poisoning of Ti target. In the present case, the incorporation of WC into TiN is found to result in a slight decrease in friction coefficient. Furthermore, the wear mechanism of multilayer AIP TiN films and MS TiN–WC/AIP TiN films was transformed from ‘‘severe wear” to ‘‘mild wear”. As a result, the 48TiN52WC film of 35 GPa hardness exhibits better tribological performance.

Parameter estimation of partial linear model under monotonicity constraints with censored data

Wei Chen,Xiaojia Li,Dehui Wang,Guohua Shi 한국통계학회 2015 Journal of the Korean Statistical Society Vol.44 No.3

We propose a weighted least square method for estimation in the partial linear model with monotonicity constraints and right-censored data. This method uses the Kaplan–Meier weights to account for censoring and monotone B-splines to approximate the unknown monotone function.Weshow that the proposed estimator of regression coefficients is rootn consistent and asymptotically normal under appropriate assumptions. One advantage is that our method can be easily computed using existing software. A simulation study is conducted to evaluate the finite sample performance of the proposed method.

Development and application of EST-SSR to evaluate the genetic diversity of Southeast Asian rice planthoppers

        Yongfu Qiu,Xiaozhen Jiao,Dehui Hu,Fang Liu,Fengkuan Huang,Rongbai Li 한국응용곤충학회 2016 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.19 No.3

A total of 320 ESTs (Expressed Sequence Tags, 12.8%) of rice planthoppers were identified to carry SSR (Simple Sequence Repeat) motifs from2491 ESTs downloaded frompublic database, and 397 pairs of brown planthopper (BPH; Nilaparvata lugens Stål) and 25 pairs ofwhite-backed planthopper (WBPH; Sogatella furcifera) (Hemiptera: Delphacidae) EST-SSR were detected based on the motifs. The dinucleotide repeat was the dominant type with repeat motif AG/GA/TC/CT; and the trinucleotide repeat was the style of AAG/AGA/GAA/TTC/TCT/CTT among the BPH repeat motifs. A total of 20 EST-SSRs (16 developed in the present study and four fromprevious studies) were applied to survey the genetic diversity of the 15 rice planthoppers. Consequently, 18 pairs of primer amplifies clear, dominant and polymorphic gel bands among the collected planthoppers population; one ESTSSR amplified a single gel band; and one had no result. Furthermore, a total of 227 bands were produced by the selected 19 pairs of primers, of which 207 bands (91.2%) were polymorphic among the test insect populations. Genetic diversity analysis suggested that the BPH populations from Cuu Long, Thailand and Ho Chi Minh were clustered, respectively; and Hue and Long Xuyen were composed into one class; the others were clustered together when the similar coefficient was 0.76. The results show that it is an effective and available approach to develop SSR markers based on ESTs in rice planthoppers; and also the developed EST-SSR markers could detect the genetic diversity of the planthoppers population, which would be beneficial for rice planthoppers control strategy. ©

Temperature dependent defence of Nicotiana tabacum against Cucumber mosaic virus and recovery occurs with the formation of dark green islands

        Feifei Zhao,Yanan Li,Li-juan Chen,Lisha Zhu,Han Ren,Honghui Lin,Dehui Xi 한국식물학회 2016 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.59 No.3

Temperature is an important environmental factor controlling plant growth, development, and immune response. However, the role of temperature in plant disease resistance is still elusive. In the present study, the potential effects of temperature on the interaction between Nicotiana tabacum and Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) were investigated. Our results indicated that N. tabacum plants displayed severe symptoms at early stage of post inoculation at high temperature (HT, 28°C), associated with higher viral replication level, more serious stress damages. By contrast, low temperature (LT, 18°C) effectively delayed the replication of CMV compared with elevated temperatures. Additionally, quantitative real-time PCR analyses revealed that lower temperatures (≤ 24°C) promote salicylic acid (SA) dependent responses, whereas higher temperatures (> 24°C) activate the genes expression of jasmonic acid (JA) pathway. Interestingly, the dark green islands (DGIs) appeared much earlier in CMV-inoculated plants grown at HT compared with those at LT and the accumulation of virus small interfering RNAs in plants were significantly up-regulated under elevated temperatures at early stage of post inoculation. Taken together, these results indicated that temperature changes had important effects on plant defence response, and different temperatures could induce different immune pathways of N. tabacum against CMV infection.
