Background: Macrophages are one of the members of tumor microenvironment, and play various roles in tumor progression and metastasis. The purposes of this study were to evaluate the presences of tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) in human cancers and the relationship between TAM densities and clinical characteristics. Methods: Immunohistochemical staining with anti-CD163 antibody, a specificc maker for TAM, was performed on tissue microarray containing 553 human cancer and normal tissues (Lung, 49; breast, 50; thyroid, 148; pancreas, 10; gallbladder, 10; and others). TAM density was measured by the average CD163-positive area (%) of at least 4 different sites in each tissue. five-year-survival rates of each cancer were obtained from Korea Central Cancer Registry reports, 2011. Results: Among different 16 human cancers, bladder, pancreas, lung, and gallbladder were the 4 highest cancer sites of TAM density from highest to lowest. Interestingly, 5-year survival rates of these cancers were relatively lower than that of all cancers: pancreas, 8.7%; lung, 20.7%; gallbladder & biliary tracts, 27.5%; all sites, 66.3%. In lung and breast cancer, TAM density was significantly higher in cancer tissues than normal tissues, while there was no difference between different stages or pathologic subtypes. In thyroid cancers, three histologic subtypes showed that the more higher densities of TAMs were observed in the more aggressive subtypes, anaplastic, follicular, and papillary from highest to lowest. Especially, anaplastic thyroid cancer demonstrated the highest TAM densities among all other 16 human cancers with extremely poor prognosis. Conclusions: TAM densities might relate to the aggressive behavior and poor prognosis in several human cancers.

The amount of trading has recently increased and been various, because global trade barrier opened due to FTA enforcement. Consequently, the logistics center that keeps flesh and manage meat, marine product, crops and vegetable has gotten interested. This introduces how to design and mange the cooling system, in addition, choose refrigeration equipment effectively referring to Osan Complex Logistics Center.

Recently, most of the countries started to regulate the emission of vehicle because of the global warming. The engine scooter is also one of the factor which cause the pollution. The hybrid system of a vehicle has many advantages such as fuel saving and emission reduction. The purpose of this study is to choose optimal size of engine, motor and battery for hybrid scooter system using Dynamic programming. The dynamic programming is an effective method to find an optimal solution for the complicated nonlinear system, which contains various constraints of control variables. The power source size of hybrid scooter was chosen through the backward simulator using dynamic programming. From the analysis, we choose the optimal size of each power source. To verify the optimal size of the power source, the Forward simulation was carried out. As a result, the fuel efficiency of hybrid scooter has significantly increased in comparison with that of engine scooter.

Hybrid electric scooters (HES) have a great potential in lowering emissions and reducing fuel demand as the ever growing problems of air pollution and global warming reached its critical stage. In this paper, we present a component sizing method for Hybrid Electric Scooter by considering efficiencies and performance of the entire system and reliability of power sources. At first, we constituted Feasible Region based on performance of conventional vehicle and simulated that selected parameter of Feasible Region using Dynamic Programming to propose the optimal component size according to the driving cycles.

In this paper, relates generally to a motorcycle and more particularly to a hybrid motorcycle including an electric motor in addition to an engine. Vehicle of the type using a gasoline engine as a drive source are chiefly available at present. However, vehicle of the type using an electric motor as a drive source are required at location where the occurrence of an exhaust gas must be avoided. A motor-driven vehicle, however, has an inconvenience in that is has an increased body weight and a shortened running distance. To cope with such an inconvenience,, there is an increased demand that a hybrid vehicle including an electric motor in addition to an engine be developed. Especially, This paper deals with an power splitter of planetary gear for hybrid motorcycle of drive train. Power splitter is an important part, because it is properly distributed of engine and motor power. Here we introduce a control strategy of power divider
