<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Introduction</B></P> <P>Clinical studies have suggested that acupuncture may be useful in the treatment of chemotherapy-induced leukopenia, a commonly encountered adverse event experienced by cancer patients. The aim of this meta-analysis was to determine the clinical effectiveness of acupuncture for this indication.</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>A search for randomized controlled trials was carried out using the following databases; China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Excerpta Medica dataBASE (EMBASE), Public/Publisher MEDLINE (PubMed), and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL). The included trials were assorted into several subgroups according to the acupuncture type, and the rate of leukopenia was meta-analyzed in each subgroup. The methodological quality of these studies was assessed using the criteria for systematic reviews recommended by the Cochrane Collaboration.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>Four types of acupuncture were used in the included studies; conventional manual acupuncture (CA: 3 trials, n=178), pharmacopuncture (PA: 3 trials, n=187), warm needle acupuncture (WA: 1 trial, n=57), and fire needle acupuncture (FA: 1 trial, n=60). CA (RR, 0.62, 95% CI, 0.43–0.91; <I>P</I> =0.01) and FA (RR, 0.20, 95% CI, 0.05–0.84; <I>P</I> =0.03) reduced the leukopenia rate with statistical significance. The methodological quality was found to be insufficient, since all the included studies were at unclear or high risk of bias for at least two of six domains.</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>The results suggest that CA and FA might be beneficial for chemotherapy-induced leukopenia. However, more well-planned studies are still needed due to the small number of studies available for analysis and the considerable methodological flaws in the analyzed trials.</P>
보편적 학습설계 원리를 적용한 배움중심 수업설계모형 개발 연구

수업에 대한 성찰 속에서 배움이라는 본질을 추구하자는 배움중심수업이 주목받고 있다. 그러나 교육적 가치로서의 배움중심수업에 대한 논의는 많지만 교육현장에서의 실천을 위한 수업설계모형이 미흡하여 개발이 요구된다. 이 때 학습자의 개인별 성장을 중요시하고, 학습에 대한 선택권을 강조하며, 상호작용을 기반으로 한 공동체적 접근을 바탕으로 하는 보편적 학습설계(Universal Design for Learning, UDL) 원리는 배움중심수업설계에 있어 시사점을 제공한다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 보편적 학습설계 원리를 적용한 배움중심 수업설계모형을 개발하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 보편적 학습설계 원리와 배움중심수업에 대한 문헌분석과 세 차례에 걸친 델파이조사를 실시하여 보편적 학습설계 원리를 적용한 배움중심수업의 실천방향과 요소, 수업설계의 절차모형을 개발하였으며, 개발된 모형에 대해 전문가 타당화를 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과를 살펴보면, 첫째, 다양성, 자율성, 공동체, 성장의 네 가지 실천방향이 도출되었다. 둘째, 주체, 분석, 협력, 영역, 설계 및 성찰이라는 여섯 가지 요소가 도출되었고, 요소별로 하위요소가 포함되었다. 마지막으로 보편적 학습설계 원리를 적용한 배움중심수업의 절차모형으로서, 순환적, 맞춤형, 교사와 학습자의 협력적 활동, 교사 공동체를 통한 협력적 성찰을 포함한 배움중심수업의 절차와 구체적인 세부 단계가 개발되었다. 보편적 학습설계 원리를 적용한 배움중심 수업설계모형은 다양한 학습자가 학습의 주체가 되어 배움이 있는 수업을 실천할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제공하였다는 데에 의의가 있다. Learning-centered instruction has currently attracted educators’ attentions for pursuing learning as the essence as the reflection of instruction. Although learning-centered instruction is widely discussed as the value of education, instructional design model for learning-centered instruction has not been developed yet. Universal design for learning (UDL) has some implications for designing learning-centered instruction for stressing learners’ individual growth and right of choice for learning based on community-based approach with interactivity. The purpose of this study is to develop a learning-centered instructional design model applying UDL. This study conducted a literature review about learning-centered instruction, UDL, and three-rounds delphi method. Thus, it developed practice directions, elements, and procedural model for learning-centered instruction applied UDL, and conducted expert validation about the developed instructional model. This study includes the main results as follows: First, the practice directions are composed of diversity, autonomy, community, and growth. Second, the elements include subject, analysis, collaboration, domain, design, and reflection, and each subsequent elements. Lastly, the procedural model of learning-centered instruction is composed of the process and specific steps of iteration, adaptation, collaborative activities between teachers and learners, and collaborative reflection within professional learning community. This study has some implications of offering meaningful framework for diverse learners to practice learning-centered instruction as subjects of learning effectively.

Successful or health aging may not be enough of explaining all perspectives of aging-related consequences in the upcoming super-aged society. Korea has experienced a rapid decline in the traditional family structure and a soar in nuclear families or solitude. Korea sustains paradoxically dissociated delivery of health care and welfare despite a decade of policy implementation of long-term care insurance. On November 20th, 2018, to resolve these challenges, the Ministry of Health and Welfare proclaimed a comprehensive blueprint, “community-based care program for the elderly”. “Community-based care program for the elderly” is considered as a shortcut to “Aging in Place”, later life residential sustainability in the same community and a proven better living outcome compared with institutionalization. As the frontline practitioners of caring older adults, this proclamation needs more practical details of integrating health care, physical dependence, monetary status, and eventually, placement. Despite differ-ent health care system structure and preferences of patients and their caregivers between Korea and United States, current review aims at assisting Korean practitioners with understanding the all-relevant trajectories of an elderly lung-cancer surviving man in Ohio, where remains geographic mixture of rural and metropolitan characteristics.
