      • Cloning and Expression Analysis of Gonadogenesis-associated Gene SPATA4 from Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)

        Gonadogenesis is a complicated process which involves multi-gene interactions. A rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) gene spermatogenesis associated 4 (SPATA4) was cloned and characterized from adult rainbow trout testis. The cDNA sequence of rainbow trout SPATA4 contains an open reading frame of 1, 081 nucleatides encoding a putative protein of 259 amino acids. The putative protein from rainbow trout shares a 76.8% homology with zebrafish SPATA4. No trans-membrane regions or signal peptide were detected using bioinformatics methods. Subcellular localization analysis revealed that rainbow trout SPATA4 was a nuclear protein with highest possibility (39.1%). Multi-tissue reverse transcriptase PCR (RT-PCR) was performed to examine the distribution of rainbow trout SPATA4 in eleven organs of adult rainbow trout. The result demonstrated that this gene express specifically in testis and slight amount of expression was detected in ovary. Further analysis of SPATA4 characterization and function in rainbow trout may provide insight into the understanding of gonadogenesis process.

        Performance analysis of embedded tri-screw pump based on computational fluid dynamics

        To meet the stringent size and noise requirements for hydraulic pumps used in submarines, an embedded tri-screw pump is proposed. The pump is embedded in the core of the servo motor to form a new servo motor pump. This paper first presents the embedded triscrew pump, as well as the cross-section profile design and parameter equations of the driving and driven screws. Velocity and pressure field distributions as well as changes in internal pressure and shear stress inside the embedded tri-screw pump with different radial and interlobe clearances were investigated using computational fluid dynamics. Furthermore, screw deformation under multi-field coupling was analyzed. In contrast to torque or fluid pressure acting alone, under the fluid-solid coupling effect, screw deformation and stresses are inversely proportional to the rotational speed of the pump and directly proportional to the power and output pressure. The simulation and experimental results were consistent for various outlet pressures and rotational speeds. Radial clearance of the screw has a more significant influence on leakage than inter-lobe clearance and therefore, more impact on the volumetric efficiency of the pump.

      • Research of Enterprise Private Cloud Computing Platform Based on OpenStack

        The demand for computing resources is growing, but the input costs of the enterprise information system construction of the traditional way is too high, and has not the high utilization of the resources. In order to solve this contradiction, the enterprise private cloud platform architecture has been put forward based on open source system. By analyzing the mainstream open source cloud projects, the basis to choose OpenStack has been given. From the perspective of classification of the enterprise personnel, combining with the components of OpenStack, this paper expounds manufacture of the virtual image and distribution, monitor, and use of the virtual machine. At last, the user interface design is also given.

        Microcapsules derived from Pickering emulsions as thermal latent curing accelerator for epoxy resins

        Organic-inorganic hybrid microcapsules encapsulating 2-phenylimidazole (2-PhIm) were prepared byPickering emulsion polymerization of styrene and divinyl benzene using methacryloyloxy silanemodifiedsilica particles as the stabilizer, and served as a thermal latent curing accelerator fordiglycidylether of bisphenol A epoxy/anhydride system. The one-component curing compositioncontaining 5 wt% of the microcapsules exhibited an excellent storage stability. The pot life at roomtemperature was as long as 30 days, while which of 2-PhIm curing system was only 2 days. At elevatedtemperature, the encapsulated 2-PhIm could be released from microcapsules effectively, and instantlyaccelerated the curing reaction. Meanwhile, the addition of microcapsules did not cause an adverse effecton the thermomechanical performance of the epoxy thermosets. In addition, the latency and curingbehavior could be facilely regulated at a wide range of temperature by adjusting monomer ratios of thepolymer matrix, to match different process temperatures. The microcapsules with robust cross-linkedpolystyrene matrix structure also showed good resistance to shearing forces, indicating their feasibilityfor high-speed mixing or kneading process in practical applications. It is suggested that the novel latentcuring accelerator is potential for high-performance one-pot epoxy formulations, particularlyrecommended for application in electronic packagingfields.

        Magnetostrictive and Magnetic Properties of Tb<SUB>0.29</SUB>Dy<SUB>0.48</SUB>Ho<SUB>0.23</SUB>Fe<SUB>1.9</SUB> Fiber/Epoxy Composites

        In this paper, we fabricated novel magnetostrictive composites by embedding <110>-oriented Tb-Dy-Ho-Fe fibers in an epoxy matrix. The magnetostrictive and magnetic properties (magnetostriction, magnetization, piezomagnetic coefficient and relative permeability) of the proposed composites were measured, analyzed, and compared to those of Tb0.29Dy0.48Ho0.23Fe1.9 alloy and Tb0.3Dy0.7Fe₂ continuous-fiber/epoxy composites. Tb0.29Dy0.48Ho0.23Fe1.9 continuous-fiber/epoxy composites have a saturation magnetostriction (λs) of 840 ppm and saturation magnetization (Ms) of 0.75 T. Their piezomagnetic coefficient exhibits a maximum value (8.2 μm/kA) at 19 kA/m. These proposed composites exhibit a large magnetostriction in high magnetic fields (> 400 kA/m) and a large relative permeability in low magnetic fields (< 100 kA/m). This result indicates that the given composites perform better than the Tb0.29Dy0.48Ho0.23Fe1.9 alloy and Tb0.3Dy0.7Fe₂ fiber/epoxy composites. Thus, the composites with characteristics of high sensitivity and large magnetostriction can be used in the field of ultrasonic sensing.

        Cross-cultural understanding of Chinese traditional puppetry: integrating digital technology to enhance audience engagement

        The digital heritage sector has become a highly significant part of the development of cultural heritage. Cultural organisations are increasingly using interactive technology to support the understanding of cultural heritage. This research aims to provide an approach for digital cultural heritage researchers and digital museologists to establish an appropriate position within digital cultural heritage. In this paper, the authors have undertaken a qualitative evaluation of data based on interviews, workshops and fieldwork focusing on potential transcultural audiences, and Chinese/non- Chinese puppetry stakeholders. From these findings, the authors have presented several design suggestions for cultural preservation to surmount transcultural barriers.

        Effects of the Agaricus bisporus stem residue on performance, nutrients digestibility and antioxidant activity of laying hens and its effects on egg storage

        Objective: The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the effects of the Agaricus bisporus stem residue (ABSR) on the performance, nutrients digestibility, antioxidant activity of laying hens, and its effects on egg storage to determine the appropriate dosage of ABSR, so as to provide a scientific basis for the effective utilization of ABSR. Methods: A total of 384 53-wk-old Nongda III layers were randomly divided into six treatments, four replicates in each treatment and 16 birds in each replicate. The control treatment was fed with basic diet, while experimental treatments were fed with diets of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% ABSR respectively. The experimental period was 56 d. Results: The results showed that compared with the control treatment, ABSR had no significant effect on laying performance (p>0.05). The crude protein and total energy digestibility of experimental treatments was significantly higher than those of control treatment (p<0.05). When eggs were stored for 1 wk, 2 wk, and 3 wk at 25℃, there were no significant differences in egg storage between the experimental treatments and the control treatment (p>0.05). The superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity in the serum of the experimental treatments were significantly higher than those of the control treatment (p<0.05), and the malonaldehyde (MDA) content did not change dramatically. SOD activity in yolk of experimental treatments was significantly higher than that in control treatment (p<0.05); MDA content in yolk was markedly lower than that in control treatment (p<0.05). The activity of GSH-Px and SOD in yolk of experimental treatments was significantly higher than that of control treatment stored at 25℃ for 21 d, and the content of MDA was significantly lower than that of control treatment (p<0.05). Conclusion: ABSR can be used to improve the antioxidant activity of laying hens without affecting laying performance.

      • Cloud Gathering Model of Manufacturing Resources Based on P2P

        Under the environment of cloud manufacturing, in view of the self-organization of manufacturing resources based on the ideas of the hybrid P2P and Chord agreement, three layer network models of manufacturing resources have been constructed. According to the structure of geographical area, the bottom centralized resources ring was built in each area; logic ring was structured by the gathering nodes, namely regional resources managers; logic main ring was formed by super nodes. And logic rings are DHT overlay, which are two layers of network. This paper expounds the dynamic organization way for manufacturing resources of two layers of DHT and the layered trust mechanism of the gathering network. In the end, the prototype instance of the resources cloud was presented.

        A Novel Filtering Method Based on a Nonlinear Tracking Differentiator for the Speed Measurement of Direct-drive Permanent Magnet Traction Machines

        This paper presents a novel filtering method for speed measurements to improve the low-speed performance of the direct-drive permanent magnet traction machines for elevators. Based on the theory of nonlinear tracking differentiator (NTD), this method, which can act as a high performance filter of a raw speed signal, obtains a more accurate speed feedback signal when applying a low-resolution encoder. In addition, it can relieve the interference caused by the position derivative for speed sampling. By analyzing the frequency response of the NTD, the influence of its parameters on the performance of the speed filtering is investigated. Compared with different types of low-pass filters, the proposed method shows a shorter time delay and a stronger ability in terms of noise suppression when the parameters are selected carefully. In addition, when using the measured speed signal through a nonlinear tracking differentiator as the feedback of the system, the motor runs more steadily at low speeds. As a result, the riding comfort of a direct-drive elevator can be improved. The feasibility of the proposed strategy was verified on an 11.7kW elevator traction machine using a commercial inverter.

      • Service life prediction of chloride-corrosive concrete under fatigue load

        Chloride corrosion has become the main factor of reducing the service life of reinforced concrete structures. The object of this paper is to propose a theoretical model that predicts the service life of chloride-corrosive concrete under fatigue load. In the process of modeling, the concrete is divided into two parts, microcrack and matrix. Taking the variation of mcirocrack area caused by fatigue load into account, an equation of chloride diffusion coefficient under fatigue load is established, and then the predictive model is developed based on Fick's second law. This model has an analytic solution and is reasonable in comparison to previous studies. Finally, some factors (chloride diffusion coefficient, surface chloride concentration and fatigue parameter) are analyzed to further investigate this model. The results indicate: the time to pit-to-crack transition and time to crack growth should not be neglected when predicting service life of concrete in strong corrosive condition; the type of fatigue loads also has a great impact on lifetime of concrete. In generally, this model is convenient to predict service life of chloride-corrosive concrete with different water to cement ratio, under different corrosive condition and under different types of fatigue load.
