      • 建設工事 監理制度의 改善方案에 관한 硏究

        海外工事에서는 技術用役業者에 의한 工事監理制度가 一般的으로 運營되고 있으며 우리나라에서는 最近에 정부工事에 監理制度가 導入되어 部分的으로 運營되고는 있으나 建設工事의 運營에 問題點이 있음을 알 수 있다. 즉 監理豫算의 確保 및 執行에 따른 問題 資格監理要員의 配置. 監理要員의 業務上의 倫理 監理業務의 運營등이다. 보다 나은 監理制度가 되기 위해서는 建設工事 監理制度가 적절한 자격을 갖추도록 하는 중요한 정책이 있어야 한다.建設工事의 진보적인 기능과 개선된 품질관리를 위하여 監理制度는 제도화 하는것이 필요로 한다. 보통 정부난 지방자치단체에서 지시한 일부 建設工事는 품질관리와 특성이 요구된다. 監理制度의 執行은 확립되지 않은 監理用役회사로 원치않은 현상을 초래 할 수도 있다. 그런 환경때문에 대부분의 用役회서는 아마도 그 특성이라는 결핍을 가져올 수 있다. 왜소한 확립성이 없는 用役회사 역시 다른 문제점을 초래한다. 따라서 정부는 재정적으로 그리고 제도적으로 監理用役회사를 보조해서 촉진 시켜야 한다. 契約制度의 고용도입과 적절한 지불은 시급히 요망된다. 적절한 지불규정은 법률화 하는것이 감리제도 개선의 선행방안이다. Technology consultant service agents normally manage to control construction supervision in overseas constructions. Recently in domestic constructions the supervision system is partially introduced to government-operated building. But there are still a lot of problems in the management of constructions. That is, for normal supervision the procurement and execution of budget, the replacement and functional ethics of qualified supervisors are difficult problems. For a better perspective of supervision the following are important policies that should be designed to help construction supervision get its proper status. To institutionalize the supervision system for both advanced function and improved quality control of constructions is necessary. Some constructions above average ordered by central or provincial governments need such quality control and speciality. The execution of supervision system may bring unwatned phenomena of irregular circumstances most consultant companies. Under such circumstances most consultant companies probably fall into the lack of speciality. The smallness of such irregular consultant companies is also another problem. Thus the government should support and promote supervision consultant companies financially and institutionally. The introduction of employment of contract system and appropriate payment is urgently needed. To legislate suitable payment regulations is prerequisite to the improvement of supervision system.

        경사 터널내 화재시 임계속도에 관한 실험적 연구

        본 연구에서는 터널 화재시 임계속도에 대한 터널 경사의 영향을 파악하기 위하여 축소모형 실험을 실시하였다. Froude 상사를 사용하여 1/20로 축소된 모형터널에서 실험을 실시하였으며, 가연물질로는 에탄올 사용하였다. 정사각형 풀을 사용하였으며 발열량은 2.47~12.30 kW이다. 임계속도가 발열량의 1/4승에 비례하여 증가하였다. 터널 경사가 증가할수록 굴뚝효과로 인해 연기의 유동속도가 증가하여 임계속도가 증가하였다. In this study, reduced-scale experiments were conducted to analyze an effect of tunnel slope on critical velocity. The 1/20 scale experiments were carried out under the Froude scaling using ethanol pool fire. Square pools ranging from 2.47 to 12.30 kW were used experiments. Critical velocity varied with one-fourth power of the heat release rate. As the slope of the tunnel increases the critical velocity comes to be fast due to the increase of the chimney effect.

      • Work Sampling 기법에 의한 철근콘크리트 작업의 작업분석

        The present study was intended to find the method of improving productivity at construction work sites by employing and adapting the work measurment techniques. The study includes analysis of individuals worker's activities and work time distribution, and evaluation of work time-rates. The study adapted the work sampling method which is known to be simple and easy to use for the intended purposes and applied the method to the most typical construction operation of reinfored concrete structure works at an on-going building construction site. The operation comprises the work processes of form erection, steel bar installation and concrete placing. The study reveal that the actual working time rates, contributed to the effective work contents range from 22 to 42 percent of the total work time which are quite below the generally accepted standard of 55 percent. Assuming that the results of the study are typical in the construction industry of KOREA today, it is suggested that the improvement of productivity in construction work site requires better preplanning of work processes in such a way as to eliminate or reduce ineffective time contents to reasonable levels.

        충수염의 임상적 고찰과 초음파의 유용성

        Appendicitis is the most common acute abdomen in Emergency Medical Center & outpatient department. But sometimes, it is difficult for us to diagnose because of clinically variable symptoms. We reviewed the ultrasonographic findings and analyse 521 cases of appendectomy patients about its distribution of sex and age, seasonal prevalence, clinical symptom and signs, laboratory findings, duration from onset of symptom to arrival at hospital, duration from arrival at hospital to operation, vital signs, operative results, and associated diseases, which were treated at the department of General Surgery & Emergency Medical Center in Chung Ang Gil Hospital from July, 1994 to June, 1995. The results were as follows : 1. The most common age group was second decade. And male to female ratio was 1.43:1. Seasonal variation was not significant. 2. Of 521 cases, 141 cases(27.1%) visited the hospital within 24 hours from the onset of symptom, and 259 cases(49.7%) visited between 24 to 48 hours. 3. In duration from arrival to operation, the cases within 6 hours were 263 (50.5%), the cases between 6 and 12 hours were 131(25..1%). 4. In systolic blood pressure, cases below 90mmHg were 19(3.6%), cases above 160mmHg were 23(4.4%). Below 60mmHg diastolic pressure were 55 cases(10.6%), cases above 110mmHg were 9(1.7%). In pulse rate, above 90 rate/min were 171(32.8%). 5. On admission leukocytosis was found in 413 cases(79.3%) and 342 cases of them were pathologic appendicitis. 6. Ultrasoundgraphy was performed in the 87 cases, but 23 cases were suggested appendicitis. Among 23 cases, 22(95.7%) revealed pathologic appendicitis at ooperation and labortatory examination. Of the 64 cases which were normal on ultrasonography, only 2 cases(3.1%) were proved to be appendicitis. 7. The results of 496 operations without ultrasonography were appendicitis in 390 cases(78.6%), mesenteric lymphadenopathy 36(7.3%), pelvic inflammatory disease 28(5.6%), fecalith 15(3.0%), terminal ileitis 8(1.6%), diverticulitis 7(1.4%), urinary tract stones 5(1.0%), cecal cancer 2 cases, right ovarian tumor 2 cases, tubo-ovarian abscess 2 cases, grater omentum internal hernia 1 case. Our results showed that the sensitivity of ultrasonohraphy was 95.8% and the specificity 98.4% in the diagnosis of appendicitis, It suggests that the ultrasonography is very helpful in the diagnosis & differential diagnosis of acute appeendiditis.

        TRISS Method와 ASCOT Method를 이용한 외상환자의 생존율 분석

        Despite traumatic injuries cause serious problems in our society, there are few adequate and objective scoring system that assess the severtiy of trauma patients. The Major Trauma Outcome Study(MTOS)in United States deisgned the TRISS(Trauma Score & Injury Severity Score)method by means of Revised Trauma Score(RTS),Injury Severity Score(ISS0,and age,while Champion et al deviced ASCOT(A Severtriy Characterizaiton Of Trauma)method to overcome the limitation of TRISS. This study attempted to make a comparison between TRISS and ASCOT by using date for 422 injured patients which were collected form September,1993 to February,1994. Ascot and TRISS were compared in their sensutivity,Specificity,disparity and Z-statistics. 1)Sex ratio of male to female was 2.8:1 and the commonest age of trauma patients was thirties (23.8%). 2)The average probability of survival(Ps)for 442 patient by TRISS method was 0.9228 and that of ASCOT method 0.9356. 3)Disparity of Ps between survival and non-survival using TRISS and ASCOT was relatively low for both indexes as 0.3507 and 0.3296, respectively. 4)The sensitivity rates(number of patients predicted to die who actually died/total who actually died)for the non-survival of both TRISS and ASCOT method were low (35.0%),but the specificity rates(number of patients predicted to live who actually lived/total who actually lived)for the survival of TRISS and ASCOT were 99.1%and 99.6%respectively. 5)Z-statistics(difference between predicted and actual number of death)of both TRISS(1.3224)and ASCOT(1.2234)resulted in positive value which meant that actual number of death exeeded predicted number of death. 6)The ASCOT that have presumed to be more accurate method for patients with head trauma and with multiple injuries to one portion of body,had its intricacy and difficult points in practical application. And the difference between the result of ASCOT and TRISS was not so significant. 7)It is thought that a new, more comprehensive index would like to be developed and thoroughly tested on a variety of data sets in order for it to be used in trauma system quality assurance evaluation.

      • Evaluation aging failure probability of generating units using data analytic method

        <P>This paper presents a method to predict failure probability related to the aging of generating units in power systems. To calculate aging failure probability, Weibull distribution is usually used due to age-related reliability. The shape and scale parameters of Weibull distribution can be estimated by using hybrid method using both normal and Weibull distributions. In this paper, data analytic method applied to type II censoring is proposed which is relatively simpler and faster than the hybrid method for the estimation of parameters. The real historical data of combustion turbine generating units in Korean power systems are used in the case study to show how to calculate the mean life and its standard deviation by the proposed method.         <P>BACKGROUND AND AIMS: 90K, a tumour-associated glycoprotein, interacts with galectins and has roles in host defence by augmenting the immune response, but the serum 90K level was suggested to indicate poor prognosis in several cancers. The cellular mechanisms of 90K action on colorectal cancer (CRC) cell motility and its effect on CRC progression were investigated. METHODS: The impact of 90K was analysed by combining cell cultures, in vitro assays, and immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: Secreted 90K suppresses CRC cell invasion, but this action of 90K is masked through binding with extracellular galectins. A novel pathway is identified comprising a secretory 90K and a CD9/CD82 tetraspanin web; in this pathway, 90K interacts with CD9/CD82, suppresses the Wnt/beta-catenin signal via a novel proteasomal-ubiquitination mechanism of beta-catenin that is dependent on ISG15 (interferon-stimulated gene-15) modification (ISGylation) but not on glycogen synthase kinase 3beta (GSK-3beta) and Siah/Adenomatous polyposis coli (APC). In a syngeneic mouse colon tumour model, tumour growth and lung metastasis were increased with 90K knockdown. In colon tissues from stage IV human CRC and invading cancer cells of corresponding metastatic liver tissues, in which beta-catenin and galectin expression was higher, immunostained 90K and CD9/CD82 were lower than in adjacent hepatic tissues or colon tissues from stage I. CONCLUSIONS: 90K itself has antitumour activity in CRC cells via suppression of Wnt signalling with a novel mechanism of ISGylation-dependent ubiquitination of beta-catenin when it interacts with CD9/CD82, but is downregulated in advanced CRC tissues. The data suggest a strategy of strengthening this novel pathway with concomitant knockdown of galectins as a potential therapeutic approach to CRC progression.</P>
