        The system designed in this paper, can mark the interior state of greenhouse using sensors of temperature, humidity and illumination on greenhouse interior by greenhouse system for farm village area's agriculture automation. And, the real time monitor is possible real time monitoring by camera. Also, system that can supply water using spring cooler system and humidifier. The proposed system can sustain a designed environment of the greenhouse through rentilation fan, fluorescent light and roof door control. TCP/IP is used for the remote control of state the sensors in the client program. 본 논문에서 설계된 시스템은 농촌 지역의 농업 자동화를 위한 온실 시스템으로 온실 내부에 온도, 습도, 조도 센서를 이용한 온실 내부의 상태를 표시할 수 있으며 카메라를 이용하여 실시간 관측이 가능하다. 또한 본 시스템은 지붕 개폐, 스프링 쿨러와 가습기를 이용한 수분 공급, 환풍기, 형광등 등을 통하여 온실 내부의 환경을 유지시킬 수 있다. 모든 센서를 이용한 상태와 온실 제어를 TCP/IP를 이용한 클라이언트 프로그램에서 원격으로 관리할 수 있다.

        자연정화공법을 이용한 소형 축산폐수처리장치의 최적여재 선정

        소규모 축산농가로부터 발생되는 축산폐수를 효과적으로 처리하기 위한 인공습지를 개발하기 위하여 인공습지에서 가장 중요한 인자 중 하나인 최적 여재의 선정에 관하여 연구하였다. 최적여재를 선정하기 위하여 여재를 왕사, 쇄석, 제올라이트 및 방해석으로 달리하여 충진한 후 각 여재별 축산폐수 처리효율 조사한 결과 COD 처리효율은 왕사가 다른 여재에 비하여 높았고, SS 처리효율은 모든 여재에서 94~95%로 큰 차이 없었다. 또한 T-N 처리효율은 제올라이트가 다른여재에 비해 높았고, T-P 처리효율은 방해석이 다른여재에 비해 높았다. 이상의 결과에서 COD,SS, T-N 및 T-P 모두를 안정적으로 처리할 수 있는 최적여재는 왕사였다. 소형 축산폐수처리장치에서 질소와 인 처리효율을 극대화 하기 위해 호기성조 (왕사:쇄석:방해석=3:2:1)와 혐기성조 (왕사:쇄석:제올라이트=3:2:1)에 혼합여재를 주입한 결과 최적 여재인 왕사에 비해 질소 및 인 처리효율이 각각 15% 및 7% 향상되었다. In order to develop livestock wastewater treatment technology by natural purification method, the optimum filter media in small-scale livestock wastewater treatment apparatus for treating livestock wastewater were studied. Removal rates of pollutants under different filter media were in the other of coarse sand ≒ broken stone > zeolite > calcite for COD, zeolite >> broken stone ≒ coarse sand ≒ calcite for T-N, and calcite > coarse sand ≒ broken stone ≒ zeolite for T-P. Based on the above results, the optimum filter media was coarse sand in small-scale livestock wastewater treatment apparatus. To meet acceptable effluent quality standard for livestock wastewater and to improve T-N and T-P removal efficiencies, removal efficiencies of pollutants in small-scale livestock wastewater treatment apparatus with mixed filter media were studied. The removal rates of COD, SS, T-N and T-P in effluent were 84, 94, 65 and 98% in small-scale livestock wastewater treatment apparatus with mixed filter media, respectively. For increasing the T-N and T-P removals in small-scale livestock wastewater treatment apparatus, the mixed filter media are recommended.

      • Study on Decomposition Gas Characteristics and Condition Diagnosis for Gas-Insulated Transformer by Chemical Analysis

        Since SF<sub>6</sub> gas was discovered in the early 1900s, it has been widely used as an insulation material for electrical equipment. While various indicators have been developed to diagnose oil-immersed transformers, there are still insufficient indicators for the diagnosis of gas-insulated transformers. When necessary, chemical diagnostic methods can be used for gas-insulated transformers. However, the field suitability and accuracy of those methods for transformer diagnosis have not been verified. In addition, since various types of decomposition gases are generated therein, it is also necessary to establish appropriate analysis methods to cover the variety of gases. In this study, a gas-insulated transformer was diagnosed through the analysis of decomposition gases. Reliability assessments of both simple analysis methods suitable for on-site tests and precise analysis methods for laboratory level tests were performed. Using these methods, a gas analysis was performed for the internal decomposition gases of a 154 kV transformer in operation. In addition, simulated discharge and thermal fault experiments were demonstrated. Each major decomposition gas generation characteristics was identified. The results showed that an approximate diagnosis of the inside of a gas-insulated transformer is possible by analyzing SO<sub>2</sub>, SOF<sub>2</sub>, and CO using simple analysis methods on-site. In addition, since there are differences in the types of decomposition gas generation patterns with various solid materials of the internal transformer, a detailed examination should be performed by using precise analysis methods in the laboratory.

        Assessment of Abdominal Organs Movement by Respiration Using Computed Tomography in Dogs: A Pitfall for Radiation Therapy

        The change in the position of the abdominal organs due to movement by respiration is one of the reasons behind inaccurate irradiation of organs during radiotherapy (RT). Although studies in human medicine have revealed on the respiratory movements of abdominal organs, there is little information and no reference data for dogs. The purpose of this study was to establish the reference values of abdominal organs movement in various postures using computed tomography (CT), and to compare the movements of organs between dorsal recumbency and ventral, right and left lateral recumbency during respiration. CT images for kidney, adrenal gland, medial iliac lymph node, urinary bladder, gallbladder, liver, stomach, and thoracic and lumbar vertebral body of five beagle dogs were acquired. The movements of organs were evaluated by comparing the end-expiratory and end-inspiratory images. Movements of the organs were evaluated by dividing it into right-to-left, dorsal-to-ventral, and cranial-to-caudal directions. The movements of abdominal organs according to the change in postures and respiration were establish. The movement of the bilateral organs was the least when the organs were in the downward position (p < 0.017). The movement of cranial-to-caudal direction was greater than the movement of the other directions in most of the organs. Data obtained in this study may be useful in selecting the appropriate posture that can reduce the movements of organs to be treated with RT, and the data could be useful for setting the planning target volume to consider the movements of the abdominal organs by respiration.

        Molecular Etiology of Hereditary Single-Side Deafness : Its Association With Pigmentary Disorders and Waardenburg Syndrome

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Unilateral sensorineural hearing loss (USNHL)/single-side deafness (SSD) is a frequently encountered disability in children. The etiology of a substantial portion of USNHL/SSD still remains unknown, and genetic causes have not been clearly elucidated. In this study, the authors evaluated the heritability of USNHL/SSD.</P><P>The authors sequentially recruited 50 unrelated children with SSD. For an etiologic diagnosis, we performed a rigorous review on the phenotypes of family members of all children and conducted, if necessary, molecular genetic tests including targeted exome sequencing of 129 deafness genes.</P><P>Among the 50 SSD children cohort, the authors identify 4 (8%) unrelated SSD probands from 4 families (SH136, SB173, SB177, and SB199) with another hearing impaired family members. Notably, all 4 probands in our cohort with a familial history of SSD also have pigmentary abnormalities such as brown freckles or premature gray hair within first degree relatives, which may indicate that genes whose products are involved with pigmentary disorder could be candidates for heritable SSD. Indeed, SH136 and SB199 turned out to segregate a mutation in <I>MITF</I> and <I>PAX3</I>, respectively, leading to a molecular diagnosis of Waardenburg syndrome (WS).</P><P>We report, for the first time in the literature, a significant heritability of pediatric SSD. There is a strong association between the heritability of USNHL/SSD and the pigmentary abnormality, shedding a new light on the understanding of the molecular basis of heritable USNHL/SSD. In case of children with congenital SSD, it would be mandatory to rigorously screen pigmentary abnormalities. WS should also be included in the differential diagnosis of children with USNHL/SSD, especially in a familial form.</P>

        Skin Necrosis after High Dose Vasopressor Infusion in Septic Shock -Two Case Reports-

        Survival sepsis campaign recommends that vasopressor therapy is required to maintain mean arterial pressure (MAP) ≥ 65 mmHg. However, the absolute maximum dose of vasopressor is difficult to determine. Herein, we report 2 cases of severe skin necrosis after high dose vasopressor infusion to maintain the recommended MAP in septic shock. In our first case, norepinephrine 1.0-2.0 μg/kg/min and vasopressin 0.03-0.1 U/min were infused for 5 days; in the second case, dopamine 10-20 μg/kg/min and norepinephrine 0.25-2.5 μg/kg/min were infused for 7 days. Severe ischemic skin lesions, which required amputations, developed in both cases. The clinical appearance of the skin lesions in the 2 cases was different because of the unique distribution of target receptors for different vasopressors. Thus, when high dose vasopressors are required to achieve recommended MAP, extra vigilance is required. Further studies for dose adjustment are needed.

        Screening of Antimicrobial Activity Compounds from Korea Ginseng Fine Root

        인삼의 효과적 이용을 위해 부산물로 취급되어 대부분 폐기되는 세근을 발효공학적 기법으로 항균성 물질을 증대하기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해서 발효에 적합한 균주의 선별과 발효에 사용될 인삼 세근 분말의 농도를 선별하여 발효 시킨 후 항균성 물질을 탐색하였다. 그 결과 8종의 유용 미생물 중 L.plantarum이 가장 적절한 균주로 선정 되었으며, 영양원인 인삼 세근 분말의 농도는 5%로 밝혀졌다. 또한, 발효 추출물의 항균 및 항바이러스 활성분석 결과 항균성은 있으나 항바이러스 활성은 미약한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 항균 활성의 경우 비발효 추출물 보다 발효 추출물이 약 2배 정도 증가되었고, Gram Positive 균주에서 활성이 더 좋은 것으로 분석 되었다. 발효에 의한 항균 활성 물질의 성분 변화를 알아 보기 위해서 HPLC 분석법을 사용하였으며 그 결과 ginsenoside Rg1, Re, Rd 성분의 함량 변화를 보인 성분은 Rd로 약 50μg/g이 증가되었다. 이러한 결과로부터 인삼 세근 발효물 중 항균 활성을 보이는 주된 물질은 ginsenoside Rd 성분인 것으로 추정된다. The study was performed to evaluate the antibacterial and antiviral activities of ginseng fine root in order to search for antibacterial substances. Among 8 kinds of fermentation strains, Lactobacillus plantarum was selected based on viable cell count and antibacterial activities during incubation. Optimum conditions of ginseng fine root fermentation for L. plantarum were incubation at 35℃ for 48 hr in 5% ginseng fine root broth. That methanolic extract of fermented ginseng fine root broth was observed to be antibacterial and have antiviral activities. The results of paper disc method of non-fermented extract and fermented extract measured against E. coli was 11 mm and 20 mm, S. aureus was 15 mm and 22 mm, respectively. Shaking flask method was observed to inhibit the growth E. coli and S. aureus in fermented extract by 99.9%. However, antiviral activity of Feline calicivirus (FCV) was mostly activated. Fermented extract was used to investigate the compositional changes of ginsenosides on HPLC analysis. By fermentation, ginsenoside Rg1, Re and Rd were increased, with Rd showing a significant increase of 50 μg/g. These results suggest that ginseng fine root extract is a useful resource.
