Our government has been continuously making an effort to improve safety management and prevent accidents in small-to-medium sized enterprises, but the accidents are still happening. Since there hasn't been a study on the actual state of safety management for the munitions manufacturing industry so far, this paper aims to investigate and analyze the actual state of the munitions manufacturing companies in Kyung-In area and it also shows the countermeasures of improvement.

Let E(B(A)) denote the elliptic curve E(B(A)) y2=x3+A(x)+B. In this paper, we calculate the number of points on elliptic curves E0A: y2=x3+A(x) over Fp mod 24. For example, if p=1(mod 24) is a prime, 3t2=1 (mod p) and A(-1 + 2t) is a quartic residue modulo p, then the number of points in E0A: y2=x3 + Ax is congruent to 0 modulo 24.

Repetitive elements (REs) constitute a substantial portion of the genomes of human and other species; however, the RE profiles (type, density, and arrangement) within the individual genomes have not been fully characterized. In this study, we developed an RE analysis tool, called REMiner, for a chromosome-wide investigation into the occurrence of individual REs and arrangement of clusters of REs, and REMiner's functional features were examined using the human chromosome Y. The algorithm implemented by REMiner focused on unbiased mining of REs in large chromosomes and data interface within a viewer. The data from the chromosome demonstrated that REMiner is an efficient tool in regard to its capacity for a large query size and the availability of a high-resolution viewer, featuring instant retrieval of alignment data and control of magnification and identity ratio. The chromosome-wide survey identified a diverse population of ordered RE arrangements, which may participate in the genome biology.

Carbon nanotube emitters, prepared by screen printing, have demonstrated a great potential towards low-cost, largearea field emission displays. Carbon nanotube paste, essential to the screen printing technology, was formulated to exhibit low threshold electric fields as well as an emission uniformity over a large area. Two different types of triode structures, normal gate and undergate, have been investigated, leading us to the optimal structure designing. These carbon nanotube FEDs demonstrated color separation and high brightness over 300 $cd/m^2$ at a video-speed operation of moving images. Our recent developments are discussed in details.

<P>The use of computed tomography (CT) for vascular imaging is critical in medical emergencies requiring urgent diagnostic decisions, such as cerebral ischemia and many cardiovascular diseases. Small-molecule iodinated contrast media are often injected intravenously as radiopaque agents during CT imaging to achieve high contrast enhancement of vascular systems. The rapid excretion rate of these agents is overcome by injecting a significantly high dose of iodine, which can have serious side effects. Here we report a simple method to prepare blood-pool contrast agents for CT based on dendrimers for the first time using tetraiodobenzene derivatives as potent radiopaque moieties. Excellent in vivo safety has been demonstrated for these small (13-22nm) unimolecular water-soluble dendritic contrast agents, which exhibit high contrast enhancement in the blood-pool and effectively extend their blood half-lives. Our method is applicable to virtually any scaffold with suitable surface groups and may fulfill the current need for safer, next-generation iodinated CT contrast agents. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. Carbapenem-resistant <i>Acinetobacter baumannii</i> Bacteremia in Liver Transplant Recipients

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Background</B></P> <P> <I>Acinetobacter baumannii</I> has become an increasingly important nosocomial pathogen. Carbapenem is the preferred drug of choice for treatment of multidrug-resistant gram-negative bacilli, but carbapenem-resistant <I>A baumannii</I> (CRAB) has now emerged. The aim of this study was to determine the incidence, outcomes, and risk factors for CRAB bacteremia in liver transplant recipients.</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>The medical records of 393 subjects who underwent living donor liver transplant at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital from January 2008 to April 2015 were reviewed.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>A total of 92 (23.4%) bacteremic patients, comprising 156 episodes, were identified. Fourteen patients, totaling 18 episodes, had CRAB bacteremia. The median time of emergence of CRAB bacteremia was 55.5 (range, 2–829) days after transplantation, and 72.2% of episodes (n = 13) occurred within 6 months of transplant. The presumed sources of infection were intra-abdominal (n = 11, 61.1%), biliary tract (n = 3, 16.7%), lung (n = 2, 11.1%), catheter (n = 1, 5.6%), and wound (n = 1, 5.6%). By multivariate analysis, length of post-transplant intensive care unit (ICU) stay (odds ratio [OR], 1.1, 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.11–1.15; <I>P</I> = .04) was associated with CRAB bacteremia. Overall mortality in 14 recipients with CRAB bacteremia was 50% (n = 7), but only 10% (30 of 301) in non-bacteremic patients and 20.5% (16 of 78) in other bacteremic patients excluding CRAB (<I>P</I> < .001).</P> <P><B>Conclusion</B></P> <P>In our study, patients with CRAB bacteremia after liver transplant showed an unfavorable outcome and, recently, CRAB has become an increasingly major pathogen at our center. Reducing the length of ICU stay could be a solution for preventing CRAB bacteremia.</P>
