In this study, steamed rice cakes prepared withdifferent particle sized flour were used to investigate howthe structures of rice cakes affected masticatory propertiesand bolus starch hydrolysis. Decreasing the particle sizeincreased the surface areas requiring hydration, resulting ina loose structure and fluffy starch network during gelatinization. Increasing the particle size led to a tight and firmnetwork, but was easily melted in the oral cavity. Thechewing cycle and time differed among the samples. Theconditions of inter-individual salivary flow rate and salivarya-amylase were diverse. The oral carbohydratehydrolysis in the bolus before swallowing showed no significantdifferences in reducing sugar levels among particlesizes. However, salivary concentration was related to initialstarch hydrolysis in the oral cavity, indicating the foodstructures affected mastication factors and physiologicalconditions. This study provides food structure and physiologicalfactor information that could help design customizedfoods in industry.

Study of Russian aspect has been mainly concentrated on the "interpretive method" to establish the invariant meanings of aspect at morphosemantic level. This approach, however, is not very helpful to make clear objectively the intuitive cognition that aspect plays a certain role at discourse level. In this respect, the recent approach through Ground Theory made a considerable contribution. In this paper I discuss problems of Ground Theory and try to clarify that aspect and foreground/background are not directly related but indirectly through the filtering of contextual meanings. For this purpose, I analyse the cases, where there are conflicts between contextual and prototypical meanings, i.e., the imperfective aspect in "terminative" context, the perfective aspect in "durative" and "iterative" contexts.

In this paper, I researched christian viewpoint on "Crime and Punishment" and compared it with legal viewpoint in criminal jurisprudence, for the purpose of sublating the dichotomy of the holy God`s law and secular earthly law. According to this research, christian viewpoint on "Crime" has peculiarities as followings. First, mental or inner world`s malice, greed, and licentiousness are all considered as sin according to the Bible. In criminal law, however, crime is only punishable when it is expressed. Second, the Bible places a great deal of weight on idolatry. To worship idols is the betrayal of God as well as the violation of the first and the second Commandment. The criminal codes do not contain such type of rule. Third, the Bible says the original sin is inherited from Adam to mankinds. The criminal laws, based on one`s own responsibility principle, do not punish one due to others crime. Forth, unlike the criminal law, the Bible provides moral rule as if the fifth commandment. A common point of sins on bible and crimes on law is the violation of rules. The former means the violation of God`s rules, and the latter, the violation of human rules. The differences between the two is depended on whether the law regulate inner side or not. So, the relationship between the two is not totally different one, but reciprocal complement.
