이번에 구축되는 첨단과학분야의 DB들은 슈퍼컴퓨터를 사용해야만 하는 방대한 데이터 양을 처리해야 되거나 혹은 계산알고리즘을 포함하고 있다. 또한 구축되는 DB들을 일반 상요자와 연결하는 정보서비스 시스템을 포함하고 있다. 따라서 연구개발 정보센터는 일반사용자가 획득하고자 하는 정보를 One-stop으로 제공받을 수 있ㄷ록 인터넷, 관련 공공망 그리고 슈퍼컴퓨터 센터의 전국망인 HPCNat을 통한 정보서비스 계획을 고려하고 있다.

Background: Dicyemids are parasites found in the renal sac of cephalopods. The first species of dicyemid was found from kidneys of the Korean common octopus Callistoctopus minor. Objectives: This study aimed to identify the dicyemid and investigate the effect on renal sac of host. Methods: In this study, we compared the morphological characteristics of isolate to dicyemids (Dicyema sphyrocephalum, Dicyema clavatum, and Dicyema dolichocephalum) reported from C. minor in Japan. We compared the 18S ribosomal RNA (rDNA) and cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) sequences of isolate to the sequences of D. shyrocephalum and D. clavatum. The infected octopuses renal tissues were histologically compared with the tissues of uninfected individuals. Results: The morphological characteristic of this isolated species corresponds to D. sphyrocephalum. The sequences similarities of 18S rDNA and COI gene of isolate are 99.7% and 98.1% with D. sphyrocephalum. We observed morphological changes in the epithelia folds of kidney at the dicyemids attached areas. Conclusions: The present study identified the isolate as D. sphyrocephalum and this is the first report of dicyemid species from Republic of Korea. Further studies on the effects of dicyemids on growth and health status of cephalopods will be needed.
A study on two phase flows of linear compressors for the prediction of refrigerant leakage

Usage of linear compressors is on the rise due to their high efficiency. In this paper, leakage of a linear compressor has been studiedthrough numerical analysis and experiments. First, nitrogen leakage for a stagnant piston with fixed cylinder pressure as well as for amoving piston with fixed cylinder pressure was analyzed to verify the validity of the two-phase flow analysis model. Next, refrigerantleakage of a linear compressor in operation was finally predicted through 3-dimensional unsteady, two phase flow CFD (Computationalfluid dynamics). According to the research results, the numerical analyses for the fixed cylinder pressure models were in good agreementwith the experimental results. The refrigerant leakage of the linear compressor in operation mainly occurred through the oil exit and theleakage became negligible after about 0.4s following operation where the leakage became lower than 2.0x10-4 kg/s.

Recently, the fine dust produced by automobile non-exhaust systems has drastically increased. Brakes are a major source of fine dust, along with tires. Therefore, this study investigated the pressure drop characteristics of a filter for collecting fine brake dust using only disk rotational flow without a fan or pump. In addition, the effect of the gap between the filter and the disc on the particle behavior and the pressure change inside the filter housing was investigated. Finally, the change in collection efficiency according to filter pressure drop characteristics was examined in a particle collection experiment. As a result, it was found that the build-up in pressure inside the filter housing from the disk rotational flow was insufficient. This meant the brake filter requires a pressure drop as low as possible, as in Filter 1. The pressure drop performance of these filters had a profound effect on the leakage of particles through the housing gap, and the rate of particle concentration reduction inside the housing. Lastly, it was found that to increase particle collection efficiency, it is important to control the particles that rotate in close contact with the disc, which escape through the rear end gap.

Recently, there has been growing interest in low loss and low dielectric constant material for LTCC application, as the frequency range for electronic devices increases. This study was designed to evaluate the effect of cordierite filler for low dielectric constant LTCC material. From the previous experiments, two glass compositions of B-Si-Al-Zn-Ba-Ca-O and B-Si-Al-Sr-Ca-O system, were chosen. Each powder of two glass compositions was sintered respectively with commercial cordierite powder in temperature range from $800^{\circ}C\;to\;900^{\circ}C$. Crystalline cordierite and glass peaks were affected only with two factors of composition and sintering temperature among various factors. With the optimized condition of two cordierite/glass compositions, obtained dielectric constant was below 5.5 and quality factor was above 1,000. Closed pore of sintered body was controled by sintering temperature and sintering time. When cordierite/glass composite with ratio of 5.5:4.5 was sintered at $900^{\circ}C$, densification was sufficient with good dielectric characteristics of ${\epsilon}_r<5.1,\;Q{\ge}1,000$. Residual fine closed pores could be reduced with control of sintering temperature and time. 3 point bending strength and chemical durability were evaluated to obtain feasibility for substrate material.

In recent years, technology has been developed the way the volume of the portable communication device is reduced but its performance is maintained. The COF(Chip On Film) packaging method is used due to the densification of the lead pitch, especially for the display driver IC. During COF packaging, lead break and film detachment could occur by the high bonding temperature and pressure, and possibility for lead interference can emerge by deformation of leads. In this study, a new double-column arrangement of leads is considered to increase lead density further than the existing zigzag arrangement of leads, and nonlinear structural analysis was carried out to examine whether the interference can occur. The results showed that stress and deformation of the corner region appear relatively higher than those of central region, and interference did not occur by the lead strain for the double-column arrangement of leads with pitch of 25μm. Therefore, double-column lead arrangement can improve lead density by about 176% compared to the zigzag lead arrangement.
