The compressor of a refrigerator accounts for approximately 60-80% of the total energy consumption necessary for the refrigeration cycle. This study investigates the implementation of a pre-compression system featuring a vibrating nozzle, with the goal of enhancing the efficiency of a linear compressor. By utilizing this pre-compression system, the cooling capacity and efficiency of the compressor are expected to improve. The numerical results show that the pre-compression system leads to an improvement of approximately 1.7% in cooling capacity compared to the baseline model. Furthermore, an increase of approximately 0.1 in EER was observed, confirming the feasibility of incorporating a pre-compression system with a vibrating nozzle.

Limitations of neurobiological approach convergent to neuropsychiatry: DCD and two visual systems theory

신경생물학 접근법은 정신학에서의 심신 이원론 문제를 해결하고 새로운 진단과 치료법을 발달시키는 데 도움을 주었다. 하지만 신경정신장애의 복합성 때문에 신경생물학의 신경해부학 부분을 너무 강조하는 것은 문제가 될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 발달성 협응장애 (DCD)는 일반적으로 움직임과 관련된 장애이지만 종종 지각과도 긴밀한 관계가 있다. 뇌의 기능적 분류에 입각한 두 시각 이론은 대뇌의 복측은 물체의 재인을, 배측은 움직임, 위치와 관련되어 있다고 주장한다. 하지만 물체의 지각은 시각적으로 유도되는 행동과 밀접한 관련이 있다. 이 논문에서는 두 시각 이론을 설명하는 기본적인 연구들을 검토하고, 이 이론에 대한 비판을 제시한다. 특히, 발달성 협응장애와 같은 운동뿐만 아니라 지각과 관련이 있는 신경정신장애에 구조적인 신경생물학 접근법을 적용하는 것의 한계점을 제시한다. 결론적으로, 현대의 신경정신분야에 융복합적으로 사용되는 신경생물학 접근법은 유용하지만, 신경구조적 분류에 너무 집중하면 한계점이 나타날 수 있다. Neurobiological approach helps to resolve the mind-body dualism and develop new assessment and treatment approaches in psychiatry. However, it could be a problem to place too much emphasis on certain aspects of neurobiology, specifically structural neuroanatomy, because of the complexity or comorbidity of neuropsychiatric disorders. Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), for instance, is generally related to problems in motor skills and this movement disability is often related to perception. One account, two visual systems theory, relied on functional distinction in brain; ventral stream is responsible for visual recognition, and dorsal stream is responsible for the guidance of actions. However, Studies are now showing that shape perception is relevant to visually guided action, such as reaching-to-grasp an object. In this article, I reviewed fundamental findings of two-visual system theory and suggested problems of visually guided action to consider what shape perception implies for the two visual systems. Questions raised highlight possible limitations of adopting a structural neuroanatomical approach to account for perception and action effects, and by extent related psychiatric conditions such as DCD. In conclusion, neurobiological approach converging to neuropsychiatry, while useful, would be limited if it focuses too much on anatomical distinction.

칼 로저스의 인간중심상담에서 ‘진정한 사람되기’에 관한 불교적 시선

This study was attempted to examine ‘On Becoming a Person’ from a Buddhist perspective in Carl Rogers’ Person-Centered Counseling. To do this, I first looked at the principle of counseling and the attitudes of counselors to the humanistic psychologist Rogers, who advocated Person-Centered Counseling. I examined the Buddhist thought implicit in Rogers’ book “On Becoming a Person.” Furthermore, I examined on the treating the client and being a true self of Rogers from the perspective of Buddhism. First, the counselor attaches importance to the now-here-self experience of correctly perceiving and practicing the dependent arising and the Four Noble Truths in order to become true self. Second, from the belief that counselors and client grow together through each other, takes the attitudes of the Four lmmeasurables and the Four All-embracing and sees the client as it is. The significance of this study was to confirm the applicability of the human qualities of the counselors who oversees the past, present and future society through the teaching of Buddha across time and space. 본 연구의 목적은 불교적 시선으로 칼 로저스의 인간중심상담에서 ‘진정한 사람되기’를 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 인본주의 심리학자이자 인간중심상담의 주창자인 로저스의 “상담의 중심은 사람”에 기반한 상담원리와 상담자의 태도를 알아보았다. 다음으로 로저스의 저서『진정한 사람되기』에 함의된 상담접근법을 통해 불교적 사유를 도출하였다. 더 나아가 로저스가 강조하는 진정한 자기 자신이 되는 것과 내담자를 대하는 태도에 관해 불교적 관점에서 다음과 같이 밝혔다. 첫째, 상담자가 진정한 자기 자신이 되기 위해서는 연기와 사성제를 바르게 자각하고 지금-여기-자기의 온전한 경험을 지속할 때 가능하다. 둘째, 상담자와 내담자가 서로를 통해 함께 성장한다는 신념에서 출발하며, 상담자는 사무량심(四無量心)과 사섭법(四攝法)의 태도로써 내담자를 있는 그대로 수용하는 것이다. 본 연구의 의의는 시대와 공간을 초월한 붓다의 가르침이 과거·현재·미래 사회를 통섭(統攝)하여 상담자의 인간적 자질에 대한 적용가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

A Study on Relationship between Speaking Learning Strategy and Speaking Anxiety of Korean EFL College Students

(Purpose) It is important to achieve good oral communication skills when learning English as a foreign language (FL). It has been, however, found that FL anxiety can be one of the obstacles to learning English as a communicative language. Speaking publicly in a FL compared to other aspects of FL has shown to be particularly anxious for FL learners. It also has been found that learners with low language anxiety use effective learning strategy more often. Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between English speaking learning strategy and speaking anxiety. (Design/methodology/approach) 144 college students participated in the survey of this study. We used a Public Speaking Class Anxiety Scale to measure English speaking anxiety level of students and revised version of the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning to measure students’ strategies for learning English speaking. (Findings) This study has shown that as students used memory and cognitive learning strategy more, their self-rated English proficiency and self-rated English pronunciation ability increased and the English speaking anxiety of learners decreased. We also found that motivation to improve English proficiency and exposure to English media moderated the mediating relation between speaking learning strategy and English speaking anxiety. (Research implications or Originality) The findings imply that it is important to use proper learning strategy for English speaking effectively to reduce English speaking anxiety. Therefore, it is necessary to develop English speaking learning system in VR environment to reduce English speaking anxiety by increasing learners’ effective use of learning strategy, learners’ confidence and experiences using English media.

대학 졸업예정자의 영어학습동기가 진로결정 자기효능감 및 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this paper is to explore the effect of prospective college graduates’ English learning motivation on career decision-making self-efficacy and career preparation behavior, and whether career decision-making self-efficacy mediates in the relationship between English learning motivation and career preparation behavior. To this end, an online survey was conducted on 288 prospective graduates enrolled in an university in Chungcheongnam-do. As a result of this study, ought-to L2 self directly affects goal achievement, but ideal L2 self affects the lack of job information among career preparation behavior. In addition, as a result of analyzing the mediating effect of career decision-making self-efficacy, it was found that extrinsic motivation and ideal L2 self motivation increased goal achievement and information collection through goal selection as a medium. Based on the results, some implications are discussed.

대학생의 코로나19 확진, 학업스트레스, 자아탄력성이 우울에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of college students’ confirmed COVID-19, academic stress, and ego-resilience on depression. To this end, an online survey was conducted on 136 students enrolled in an university in Chungcheongnam-do. As a result of this study, there was no significant difference in academic stress, ego-resilience, and depression in the presence or absence of COVID-19 confirmation. However, students with high COVID-19 sequelae showed high levels of depression, and students who were diagnosed with COVID-19 with underlying disease showed high emotional exhaustion. As variables predicting depression, egoresilience, emotional exhaustion, and COVID-19 sequelae were found. The lower the egoresilience and the higher the emotional exhaustion, the higher the depression. After controlling for ego-resilience and academic stress, the result of examining whether COVID-19 related variables have a significant effect on depression shows that the higher the COVID-19 sequelae, the significantly higher the depression. Based on the results, several implications are discussed.

성인 영어학습자의 성격유형에 따른 영어 글쓰기전략 사용에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 대학생 영어학습자의 성격유형에 따라 영어 글쓰기 전략 사용이 다른지 알아보는 데있다. 충청남도 소재 대학의 대학영어 수업을 수강한 대학생 87명을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시했다. 참가자들은 무료 온라인 성격유형 검사로 MBTI를 측정한 후, 영어 글쓰기전략 설문을 수행하였다. 집단 간 차이를 알아보기 위해 베이지안 독립평균 t검증을 실시한 결과, 직관형(N)은 감각형(S) 보다 영어 글쓰기에서 상위인지 전략 중 자기주도성과 사회/정의적 전략을 더 많이 사용했다. 판단형(J)은 인식형(P)보다 영어 글쓰기에서 상위인지 전략의 모든 하위전략과 인지 전략 중 자료 찾기 전략을 더 많이사용했다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 학습자의 개인의 성격유형에 맞는 학습전략과 학습법을 제시할 수있고 학습자의 성격유형에 따라 연령별 그리고 영어수준별을 나누어 교수법을 체계화하여 영어쓰기에서중요한 기초자료가 될 것이다.
