Fatigue limit of the copper film coated by Sn was estimated by using Goodman diagram and Gerber diagram. To obtain the high cycle fatigue life S-N curve of the film, the high cycle fatigue test was carried out by applying the constant amplitude load to the film specimen with three different stress ratio of 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 and the frequency of 40 ㎐ at room temperature in air. The film specimen 15.26㎛ thick was fabricated by etching process. The fatigue limits and S-N curves at the respective stress ratios were determined from the experimental works. It was shown that the S-N curves were dependent on the stress ratio and the fatigue limit was increased with decreasing the stress ratio. The dependency of the fatigue behavior was presented in empirical relationship. Using these relationships, the fatigue limit was predicted.
한우와 육우교잡종에 대한 산육 및 사료이용성에 관한 연구

This study was carried out to investigate the growth rate, feed efficiency and carcass traits of Korean native cattle (KK), and it`s crossbreedsive Simmental carssbreed (SK), Brown Swiss crossbreed (BK) and Japanese brown crossbreed (JK) at livestock experiment station from 1979 to 1986. The effects of the mating system, year of birth and season of birth on the body weights at 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 months of age, on the nutrient intakes at the different months of age and on the carcass traits were estimated by least squares method. Breed groups were consisted of 12 calves; of KK, 6 calves of SK, 8 calves of BK and 5 calves of JK. 1. Growth capacity The average body weights of KK, SK BK and JK were 97.1±16.4㎏, 182.8±11.5㎏, 191.8±14.0㎏ and 127.9±15.4㎏ at 6 months (P$lt;0.05), 169.0±20.9㎏, 289.4±14.7㎏, 277.7±17.8㎏ and 223.8±19.6㎏ at 9 months, 242.7±29.7㎏, 424.7±20.9㎏, 386.3±25.3㎏ and 329.4±27.9㎏ at 12 months, 343.0±31.7㎏, 527.3±22.3㎏, 495.0±27.1㎏ and 410.8±29.8㎏ at 15 months, 421.6±32.9㎏, 625.7±23.1㎏, 573.3±28.1㎏ and 497.4±31.0㎏ at 18 months of age, respectively (P$lt;0.01). The average daily gains of KK, SK, BK and JK were 0.90±0.06㎏, 1.23±.004㎏, 1.06±0.05㎏ and 1.03±0.06㎏, respectively (P$lt;0.01). 2. Feed efficiency D.M. requirements per ㎏ gain of KK, SK, BK and JK were 6.48±0.30㎏, 6.50±0.25㎏, 7.52±0.30㎏ and 6.43±0.33㎏, respectively (P$lt;0.05). The average amounts of C.P, requirement per ㎏ gain of KK, SK, BK and JK were 1.03±0.05㎏, 1.06±0.04㎏, 1.23±0.05㎏ and 1.00±0.05{{ }}㎏, respectively (P$lt;0.05). 3. Carcass traits The average carcass percentages of KK, SK, BK and JK were 60.1±1.3%, 62.2±1.0%, 61.4±1.2% and 60.6±1.2%, and the average lean meat percentages of KK, SK, BK and JK were 44.3±1.2%, 46.4±0.9%, 43.3±1.1% and 43.4±1.0%, respectively. There were no significant differences among breed groups in carcass and lean meat percentage.
수리모형 실험에 의한 선박 부착형 오탁방지막의 거동특성 구명

Silt curtains are constructed for minimizing pollution of sediment dispersion in water bodies. In spite of wide uses of the silt curtains, there are few studies for analyzing the effectiveness of them with respect to their dimension and hydraulic characteristics. Currently, the market of silt curtains does not provide the various dimension of them due to the limit of information regarding its effectiveness on reducing sediment pollution. In this study, a series of experiments was conducted to investigate hydraulic characteristics around the silt curtains under the different flow conditions. The information to be obtained will provide information required to design appropriate dimension of silt curtains in various water environment such as velocity and water depths. For this study, a silt curtain was fabricated and an open channel with 30cm of width and 40cm of depth was used. The results indicated that the silt curtain was not effective in preventing dispersion at flow velocities over 6 cm/s. Based on the experimental results, it is required that approaching velocity be minimized and the weight of bottom be increased in order to reduce deformation angles.
거세한우에 대한 제한급여 수준과 출하체중이 비육능력 및 육질에 미치는 효과

A study was conducted with 63 Hanwoo steers weighing 120㎏ to investigate the effect of restricted feeding (Restricted feeding I, feeding concentrates at the levels of 1.0% and 1.5% of live body weight during growing stage and finisher stage I, respectively; Restricted feeding B, feeding concentrates at the levels of 1.5% and 2.0% of live body weight during growing stage and finisher stage I, respectively) and market weights(550, 600 or 650㎏) for 600 days on carcass composition, and quality and yield traits of Hanwoo steers. Results observed from the study were summarized as follows : Level of feeding the concentrates influenced body weight by age and daily gain for every growing stage, this results were due to the difference between reduced growth rate of cattle fed ad libitum during finisher stage II and rapidly increased growth rate of cattle raised by Restricted feeding I during same period(P$lt;.0001). An improved body weight by feeding ad libitum increased(P$lt;.0045) dressing percentage while decreased(P$lt;.0049) retailed cuts(%) between feeding ad libitum and Restricted feeding I. No differences, however, in retailed cuts(%) and body fat(%) were observed between Restricted feedings. Degree of marbling of Longissimus muscle tended to improve as body weight of greater than 600㎏ increased, but the difference(P$lt;.0014) was observed only between feeding ad libitum and Restricted feeding I. However, high grade of beef quality was observed from the steers heavier than 550㎏. The size of Longissimus muscle increased(P$lt;.0011) with body weight, but was not influenced by the level of feeding. Backfat thickness was also affected by body weight, and this was mainly due to the difference(P$lt;.0366) between feeding ad libitum and restricted feedings. But no tendency was observed between Restricted feeding I and Restricted feeding II. Moisture content(%) of Longissimus muscle was decreased(P$lt;.0267) at the body weight range of 550-600㎏ of Hanwoo steers. Restricted feedings of steers increased(P$lt;.0011) moisture of Longissimus muscle while decreased (P$lt;.0011) fat. Reduced(P$lt;.0001) Shear force but increased(P$lt;.0001) water holding capacity were observed from increased body weight, and this result was from the difference between feeding ad libitum and restricted feedings. No difference was, however, observed between restricted feedings. No clear differences in most cut meat production(%) except for tender loin(P$lt;.0183) and rib loin(P$lt;.0005) increased by restricted feedings. Difference in cut meat production was not also observed between restricted feedings.
