Infrared optical glass properties such as refractive index and dispersion value are key factors in designing infrared optical lenses. Until now, infrared optical lenses successfully have been developed using chalcogenide glass materials such as Ge, As, Sb, S, and Se elements. Trends using corelation between dispersion and abbe number was described using standard Abbe diagrams for broad band spectrum. However, it was reported that dramatic changes to Abbe diagram depending on which band is examined. In this report, newly developed chalcogenide optical glass with low or high dispersion was applied to a new diagram. The effect was investigated by selecting two infrared optical materials that can reduce chromatic Abberations when designing an chromatic lens. It was found that chalcogenide glasses tended to suppress chromatic abberations in comparing with commercial crystal materials, such as ZnSe, ZnS used.

The light intensity which represents the relative amount of brightness and darkness is very important feature to discern the color hue and its relevant information. With this aim, we devise a new optical system and method to analyze the light intensity. Our suggested system including a phototransistor and white-high-brightness chip light-emitting diode intend estimate the contrast value utilizing Image Research Institute(I.R.I.) Hue & Tone samples which includes 120 color sheets arranged by the color hue and tone. As a result, we confirmed that the brightness of the color checker can be accurately estimated by a high-brightness light-emitting-diode optical system.
Double Covering 기법을 이용한 고강도 실크 직물 개발

최근 친환경적이면서 기능적인 소재가 주목받고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 실크 더블커버링사를 개발하고, 개발된 실크 더블커버링사를 이용해 기능성 실크 직물을 제직하고자 하였다. 개발 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 하나의 심사에 두 개의 초사를 서로 다른 방향으로 꼬아서 커버링을 시도한 실크 더블커버링사를 개발하였다. 둘째, 개발된 실크 더블커버링사로 실크 직물을 제직하였으며, 개발 직물의 원단 강도가 일반 연사를 이용한 경우보다 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 개발된 직물에 기능성 가공을 실시한 결과 실용성이 향상되었다. 따라서 본 개발 직물은 향후 인테리어용, 지갑이나 가방과 같은 패션잡화, 그리고 신발용 갑피로도 사용 가능할 것으로 기대된다. The volume of the functional textile market is gradually growing in Korea. This study intended to develop the double covering yarn and high strength silk fabric. The key findings were as follows: Firstly, silk double covering yarn was developed. To improve the stretch and anti-bacterial, functional double covering yarn using nano silver was developed. Secondly, using double covering yarn, functional silk fabric was developed and its stretch was improved. Thirdly, to improve its functionality, the fabric was treated in nano silver padding and water repellency and antibacterial performance was improved. The results showed that high strength silk fabric could be used for the interior fabric and the upper part of shoes.

우수(優秀) 질소고정균주(窒素固定菌株)를 개발(開發)하여 척박(瘠薄)한 야산(野山) 개발지(開發地)에서 효율적(效率的)인 초지조성(草地造成)을 꾀하고자, 기존(旣存) 알팔파 목야지(牧野地)에서 분리(分離)한 근류균(根瘤菌)으로부터 기내(器內) 내산성(耐酸性) 균주(菌株) 탐색(探索)과 토양(土壤)에서 선발균주(選拔菌株)의 내산성(耐酸性) 발현(發現)을 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같았다. 1. pH 5.0의 시험관배지(試驗管培地)에서 근류형성(根瘤形成)을 보인 균주(菌株)는 "YA03"과 "YA09"였으며 공생효과면(共生效果面)에서 "YA03"이 우수(優秀)하였다. 2. "YA03"균주(菌株) 접종(接種)에 의(依)한 알팔파 생육(生育)과 질소(窒素) 고정력(固定力)은 무비(無肥)에서 뿐만 아니라 요소(尿素) 1.25mM 농도(濃度)에서 타균주(他菌株)보다 좋았다. 3. 알팔파 생육(生育)에 대(對)한 질소수준별(窒素水準別) "YA03" 균주(菌株)의 알팔파 접종효과(接種效果)는 접종(接種)+요소(尿素) 1.25mM > 접종(接種)+요소(尿素) > 무시용(無施用) > 무접종(無接種)+요소(尿素) 2.5mM 순(順)으로서 근류균(根瘤菌) 접종(接種)과 함께 요소(尿素)를 여용(旅用)하는 것이 효과적(效果的)이었다. 4. pH 5.0인 산성척박지(酸性瘠薄地)에서 알팔파에 대(對)한 R. meliloti "YA03" 균주(菌株) 접종(接種)은 무접종(無接種)보다 320%, pH 7.5의 비옥(肥沃)한 토양(土壤)에서 무접종(無接種) 재배(栽培)보다는 31% 건물중(乾物重) 증가(增加)를 보이므로써 내산성(耐酸性)이 큰 R. meliloti 균주(菌株)로 "YA03"를 선발(選拔)하였다. A study was conducted to obtain acid tolerant and superior Rhizobium meliloti strain for alfalfa on hilly acid soils. With host plant, eight isolates of R, meliloti selected in the vicinity of Milyang were evaluated for their ability to establish symbiotic effectiveness in acidified tube culture medium and vermiculite pot with different urea levels. Among isolates "YA03" was characterized for the ability to manifest to acid tolerance in three different soils of which pH were 5.0, 6.0, and 7.5. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. Of eight isolates "YA03" and "YA09" performed nodule in the tube medium of pH5.0, and in the symbiotic effectiveness YA03 was superior to others. 2. Alfalfa growth and $N_2-fixing$ activity by the inoculation of "YA03" isolate were better than others at the level of urea 1.25mM as well as nonurea. 3. Application of urea with inoculation of "YA03" islate to alfalfa was one of the effective factors for symbiotic effectiveness. 4. In infertile soil of pH5.0 inoculation of R. meliloti "YA03" to alfalfa caused the increase of shoot dry matter of 320% as compared to the control, and the total amount of yield was 131% as much yield in moderate fertile soil of pH7.5. Finally R. meliloti "YA03" isolate was selected as an acid tolerant strain.

척박(瘠薄)한 야산(野山) 개간지(開墾地)에서의 경제적(經濟的)인 알팔파 초지조성(草地造成)을 목적으로 내산성(耐酸性) R. meliloti "YA03" 근류균제(根瘤菌劑)의 포장접종효과를 검토(檢討)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같았다. 1. 석회(石灰)와 질소(窒素)를 시용(施用)하지 않은 조건(條件)에서, 시험(試驗) 1년차(年次) YA03의 알팔파 접종(接種)은 대조균주(對照菌株) YA026 및 Rm2011에 비해서 근류중(根瘤重)과 질소고정력(窒素固定力) 및 건초수량(乾草收量)의 증가(增加)를 보였으나, 질소(窒素)를 8kg/10a시용(試用)한 조건(條件)에서는 대체로 Rm2011보다도 저조(低調)한 접종효과를 나타내었다. 2. 석회시용(石灰施用) 없이 질소(窒素)를 8kg/10a 시용(施用)한 조건(條件)에서 YA03 접종구(接種區)의 건초생산은 시험(試驗) 1년차(年次)(276kg/10a)보다 2년차(年次) 잔효(殘效)(479kg/10a)에서 더 높았는데, 이때의 수량(收量)은 근류균(根瘤菌) 무접종(無接種)보다 166%, 대조균주(對照菌株) YA026(399kg/10a) 및 Rm2011(397kg/10a)보다는 20내지 21% 더 증수(增收)되었다. 3. 내산성균주(耐酸性菌株) YA03은 또한, 석회(石灰)없이 질소시용(窒素施用) 2년차(年次) 잔효시험(殘效試驗)에서 대조균주(對照菌株)보다 높은 공중질소(空中窒素) 고정량(固定量)(7.7kg N/10a/Yr.)과 토양내(土壤內) 생균수(生菌數)($1{\times}10^4\;cells/g.\;soil$)를 보여, 산성토양(酸性土壤)에의 적응력(適應力)이 우수(優秀)하였다. 4. 석회시용(石灰施用)과 함께 YA03 접종시(接種時) 시비조건별(施肥條件別) 알팔파의 건초생산은 질소(窒素)+인산(燐酸)+가리(加里)>인산(燐酸)+ 가리(加里)>인산(燐酸)>가리구(加里區) 순(順)으로써 시험후(試驗後) 토양(土壤)의 생균수(生菌數)와 같은 경향(傾向)을 보였다. 5. 척박(瘠薄) 야산지(野山地)에서 내산성균주(內酸性菌株) YA03의 알팔파 접종(接種)에 의한 건초생산은 질소무시용(窒素無施用)보다 시용구(施用區)에서 높았는데, 이 경우(境遇) 석회(石灰)를 병용(竝用)하므로써 약 44% 더 증수(增收)되는 결과(結果)를 보였다. An acid tolerant R. meliloti "YA03" which was characterized through both acidified tube and pot soil experiment, was examined on its inoculation effect to alfalfa[Medicago sativa (L.)]cv. Vernal on hilly acid soil. It was conducted for 2 years to evaluate inoculation residual effect and there were two-fertilizer factors of nitrogen(0.8kg/10a) and lime(0,162kg/10a)as urea and $Ca(OH)_2$, respectively. The results obtained were summarized as follows : 1. In the 1st-year experiment, YA03 inoculated without nitrogen and lime application showed higher symbiotic effectiveness than check strains, YA026 and Rm2011 in nodule mass, $N_2$-fixing activity, and dry matter yield, but with N 8kg/10a application lower effectiveness than Rm2011. 2. In the 2nd-year experiment, Alfalfa dry matter yield by YA03 inoculation with N application(without lime) was 74% higher than that(276 kg/10a) in the 1st year, and the value showed 166%, 20%, and 21% increments as compared with noninoculated control(180kg/10a). YA026(399kg/10a), and Rm2011(397kg/10a), respectively. 3. In the 2nd-year experiment of N applicated plote(without lime), especially, YA03 showed higher shoot nitrogen(7.7kg N/10a/Yr.) fixed and soil rhizobial population($1{\times}10^4\;cells/g.\;soil$) than check strains. 4. On the basis of lime application, application effect of three major fertilizers with YA03 inoculation on alfalfa yield and soil rhizobial population was in the order of $N+P_2O_5+K_2O>P_2O_5+K_2O>P_2O_5+K_2O$. 5. On the whole, alfalfa yield by acid tolerant R. meliloti YA03 inoculation on hilly acid soil was enhanced with nitrogen application, and besides it appeared 44% higher with lime than without lime.
