This study discussed social responsibility and ethics for restoring the value of sports journalism in the media big bang resulting from the recent development of information and communication technology. Although a fast-growing number of media has broadened the choice of the consumers, it simultaneously resulted in the crisis in the journalism, weakening its essential function as a symbol of securing the public nature of the democratic society. Further, the essence of journalism (i.e., the public nature) are damaged in the case in which too much emphasis is being placed on the goals of corporations, such as economic benefits, achievements, and efficiency. Hence, this study provided the direction of journalism which can realize the public interest, fairness, and equality by discussing the social responsibility of sports media. Specifically, this study suggested the practical tasks of constructing the theoretical frame of sports journalism, complying with the ethics code of the members of sports media, and balancing management of the sport media corporations. This discussion will serve as a guide to fulfilling the social responsibility of sports media journalism. 이 연구는 최근 정보통신 기술의 발달로 인한 미디어 빅뱅 속에서 스포츠저널리즘의 가치복원을 위한 사회적 책무와 윤리성의 구현을 논의하였다. 미디어의 급증은 수용자들의 선택권은 넓혔으나 민주사회에서 공공성을 담보하는 상징적 기능인 저널리즘은 위기를 맞고 있다. 스포츠미디어 역시 공공성보다 경제적 이익과 성과, 효율성 등의 기업적 목표를 강조하게 되면 저널리즘의 본질은 훼손될 수밖에 없다. 따라서 이 연구는 스포츠미디어의 사회적 책무를 기반으로 윤리적인 맥락의 공익성, 공정성, 평등성 등을 실현할 수 있는 저널리즘의 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 스포츠현장에서 빚어지고 있는 상업주의, 인권문제, 공공성 등 스포츠미디어 저널리즘의 사회적 쟁점들을 탐색한 후, 이에 대한 대비책으로서 스포츠 저널리즘의 이론적 틀의 구축, 스포츠미디어 구성원의 윤리강령 준수, 스포츠미디어 기업의 균형적 경영 등을 실천과제로서 제안하였다. 이러한 논의는 스포츠미디어 저널리즘의 본래적 기능인 사회적 책무를 성실히 수행하는데 길잡이 역할을 하게 될 것이다.

In the annular Modified Chemical Vapor Deposition process using two concentric tubes, the inner tube is heated to maintain high temperature gradients to have high thermophoretic force which can increase particle deposition efficiency. However, higher axial velocity in a narrow gap between inner and outer tubes can result in a longer tapered entry length. In the present paper, a new concept using an annular jet from the inner tube is presented and shown to significantly reduce the tapered entry length with maintaining high efficiency. Effects of a jet injection on heat transfer, fluid flow and particle deposition have been studied. Of particular interests are the effects of jet velocity, jet location and temperature on the deposition efficiency and tapered length . Torch heating effects from both the previous and present passes are included and the effect of surface radiation between inner and outer tubes is also considered.

The series of experiments have been performed to study the transient heat transfer in air from a suddenly heated vertical thin wire. A platinum wire has been used as a resistance thermometer as well as a heating element to eliminate the disturbances in the measurements. The measured temperature as a function of time is compared with the calculated transient temperature with the aid of a pure conduction equation. The overshoot phenomena in terms of the Nusselt numbers have been detected and it is reasonable to define the delay time at which the onset of convection heat transfer occurs. The measured data are compared with the existing steady-state data and the agreements are reasonable within the comparable ranges.
