This paper presents the static characteristics of PMLSM considering the slotting effects of the primary core. To estimate the force ripple, PMLSM is analysed by the theoretical analysis and the FEM The simulation values are compared with experimental ones.
Design Considerations for Low Voltage Claw Pole Type Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) Systems

Due to the need for improved fuel consumption and the trend towards increasing the electrical content in automobiles,integrated starter generator (ISG) systems are being considered by the automotive industry. In this paper, in order to change the conventional generator of a vehicle, a belt driven integrated starter generator is considered. The overall ISG system, the design considerations for the claw pole type AC electric machine and a low voltage very high current power stage implementation are discussed. Test data on the low voltage claw pole type machine is presented, and a large current voltage source DC/AC inverter suitable for low voltage integrated starter generator operation is also presented. A metal based PCB (Printed Circuit Board) power unit to attach the 4-parallel MOS-FETs is used to achieve extremely high current capability. Furthermore, issues related to the torque assistance during vehicle acceleration and the generation/regeneration characteristics are discussed. A prototype with the capability of up to 1000 A and 27 V is designed and built to validate the kilo-amp inverter.
Permanent Magnet의 형상에 따른 BLDC 전동기의 특성해석

This paper is studied he characteristics of current harmonics and the torque ripple of Blushless DC (BLDC) motor according to the permanent magnet shape of rotor and the input voltage waveform. Its motor is developed for the fan blower of automatic vehicles. To investigate the torque ripple, the phase current harmonics, the flux density distribution of BLDC motor are analysed by F.E.M and its analytical results is compared to the experimental results. Especially, a transient state torque of BLDC motor fed with a sinusoidal and a PWM wave voltage is estimated to obtain the dynamic characteristics of BLDC Motor.
상태관측기에 의한 영구자석 선형동기전동기의 슬라이딩모드제어에 관한 연구

영구자석형 선형동기전동기(PMLSM)는 고속, 고추력의 직선추진이 가능하므로 산업현장에서 위치결정장치나 물류반송시스템 및 공작기계 등의 선형 서보 시스템에 이용이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 PMLSM의 AC 서보화를 위해 동기 프레임상에서 제어구조가 미리 설정된 스위칭 함수에 따라 불연속적으로 변화되는 가변구조 전류제어방식 및 간접 벡터제어이론을 기본으로하여 도달시간을 제거하고, 구동시스템의 추력 이용도를 높이기 위해 파라미터 변동과 한정된 외란에 거의 영향을 받지 않으며 오버슈트가 없는 고속응답을 실현하기 위해 슬라이딩 모드제어 알고리즘을 제안하여 PMLSM의 위치제어에 적용하고자 한다. According to the rapid growth of high speed and precise industry, the application of synchronous motor has been increased. In the application fields, these fast dynamic response is of prime importance. In particular, since the PMLSM(Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor) has characteristics of high speed, high thrust, it has been used in high-performance servo drive. From these reasons, it is recently used for high precise position control, and machine tool. In this paper, a study of the sliding mode with VSS (Variable Structure System) design for a PMLSM is presented. For fast and precise motion control of PMLSM, the compensation of disturbance and parameter variation is necessary. Hence we eliminate the reaching phase use of VSS that is changed to switching function and vector control using the state observer. And we proposed to sliding mode control algorithm so that realize fast response without overshoot, disturbance and parameter variation.

This paper presents the characteristics of current harmonics and torque ripple of Brushless DC motor, which is developed the fan blower of vehicles, according to input voltage waveform.<br/> To investigate the torque ripple and the phase current harmonics, these characteristics is analysed and compared the experimental results.<br/> In the process of analysis, FEM is introduced and computed a transient state torque of BLDC with a sinusoidal and a PWM wave voltage.
