In this paper we examine the mass transport within the boundary layer near the sea bottom. The fluid domain is seperated into inner and outer region of boundary layers. In outer region, the wave field is assumed to be inviscid and irrotational. When the incident waves enter the arrays of circular cylinders, the scattering of water waves by an array of N bottom mounted vertical circular cylinders is solved using the method proposed by Linton & Evans under the potential theory. In inner region, the Navier-Stokes equation must be satisfied with boundary conditions at the boundary later and bottom is to be represented by the sum of the Eulerian mean drift and the Stokes' drift.
The Performance of a Horizontal Flexible Membrane Breakwater in Waves

본 연구에서는 수면 밑 일정한 깊이에 잠긴 유연한 천이 파도중 수평으로 놓여 있을 때 유연막과 파도의 상호작용 문제를 살펴보았다. 파도와 유연막의 상호작용을 고려하기 위하여 선형 유탄성 이론을 사용하였다. 계산 예로 유연막의 형태, 잠긴 깊이 그리고 유연막에 걸리는 초기 장력을 변화시키면서 반사율과 투과율 그리고 유연막의 변형을 살펴보았다. 또한 Texas A&M 대학의 2차원 수조에서 모형실험을 수행하여 실험결과와 해석해를 비교하였다. 실험결과와 해석결과는 정성적으로 잘 일치하고 있음을 확인하였다. 개발된 설계 프로그램을 이용하여 설치 해역의 파랑 특성에 적합한 최적의 유연막 방파제를 설계, 제작할 수 있으리라 사료된다. The interaction of monochromatic incident waves with a horizontal flexible membrane is investigated in the context of two-dimensional linear hydro-elastic theory. First, analytic diffraction and radiation solutions for a submerged impermeable horizontal membrane are obtained. Second, the theoretical prediction was compared with a series of experiments conducted in a two-dimensional wave tank at Texas A&M University. The measured reflection and transmission coefficients reasonably follow the trend of predicted values. Using the developed computer program, the performance of surface-mounted or submerged horizontal membrane wave barriers is tested with various system parameters and wave characteristics. It is found that the properly designed horizontal flexible membrane can be an effective wave barrier.
주성분분석을 이용한 환경영향평가와 사후환경조사의 비교 및 평가에 관한 사례연구

Environmental monitoring system has been adopted and supplemented as inspection measures for the quantitative and qualitative changes of environmental impact assessment (EIA). This study compares the results of environmental impact assessment with the results of post-environmental investigation using a correction and principal component analysis (PCA) in the housing development project. Correlation analysis showed that most of air quality variables including TSP, $PM_{10},\;NO_2$, CO were linearly correlated with each other in the environmental impact assessment and the post-environmental investigation. In the water quality, pH and BOD were well correlated with the DO and SS, respectively. As a result of correlation analysis in the noise and vibration, noise in day and night and vibration in day and night were related to each other between EIA and the post-environmental investigation. From the results of analysis of soil, Cu with Cd, Cu with Pb, and Cd with Pb were related to each other in EIA. Principal component analysis (PCA) showed a powerful pattern recognition that had attempted to explain the variance of a large dataset of inter-correlated variable with a smaller set of independent variables (principal components). Principal component (PC1) and principal component (PC2) were obtained with eigenvalues> 1 summing almost $90\%$ of the total variance in the all of the items(air, water, noise, vibration and soil) in EIA and post-environmental investigation.
점성 효과에 의한 경사진 방파제 입구에서의 토사 이동에 관한 연구

Herein we investigate the mass transport velocity caused by the viscosity near the ocean structure such as circular pile and inclined breakwaters. The mass transport velocity which is represented by the sum of the Eulerian velocity and the stokes drift were derived by Carter, Liu and Mei(1973). The tangential components of the inviscid velocity field at the bottom needed in the calculation of the mass transport velocity is obtained by solving the scattering problem due to breakwaters. The matched asymptotic expansion technique is employed to obtain the inviscid flow fields scattered by inclined breakwaters. The numerical results show that heary sediments tends to be deposited near the center of breakwaters and that the narrowing of the entrance width results in reduction of the magnitude of mass transport.

This study was conducted to improve an effect of phosphorus removal using FNR(Ferrous Nutrient Removal) process which had iron precipitation reactor and to analyze the iron corrosion. For simultaneous removal of phosphorus, iron electrolysis was combined with oxic tank. In this study, The removal efficiency of phosphorus increased with an increase voltage in iron precipitation reactor. The distance of 15mm between the two iron bed in each tests influence the concentration of remaining phosphorus most. The extensive surface area of iron bed is the more removes the phosphorus. In this test the $400\;cm^2$ of surface area was proved to be the most removal efficient.

The potential of using the biogas as energy source has long been widely recognised and current techniques are being developed to upgrade the technical quality and to enhance energy efficiency. The objective of this paper is to present efficient and effective pre-treatment methods of increasing the amount of produced biogas in anaerobic digestion of activated sludge treatment process. The paper also presents a review of the effect on biogas production between pre-treated and raw sludge, and also put forward the advantages and disadvantages of each pre-treatment method.
역사문화환경 보호정책의 무형적 편익이 규제순응에 미치는 영향: 역사문화환경 보존지역 거주자의 인식도를 중심으로

본 연구는 역사문화환경 보호정책으로 발생되는 무형적 편익이 역사문화환경 보존지역 거주자의 규제순응에 미치는 요인을 도출하기 위해 회귀분석을 이용한 실증분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 역사문화환경 보존지역 만족도에 대하여 통계적으로 유의미한 요인 중 ‘역사문화환경 보존지역 관리수준 및 합리적 설정’이 상대적으로 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 문화유산 보존 참여 의지 영향요인에서 개인적 특성 요인인 ‘문화유산에 대한 관심’과 무형적 편익인 ‘역사문화환경 보존지역 인지도’가 상대적으로 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 거주자 보상의 필요성에 있어 ‘역사문화환경보존지역 인지도 및 합리적 설정’의 영향력이 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 이상의 분석결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 다음과 같은 정책 제언을 제시하였다. 첫째, 역사문화환경 보존지역 거주자를 대상으로 홍보와 문화유산 향유 및 교육프로그램 활성화가 필요하다. 둘째, 역사문화환경 보존지역의 합리적 기준이 설정되어야 한다. 셋째, 주민지원 사업을 강화함으로써 역사문화환경 보존지역의 효율적 관리를 도모할 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of intangible benefits generated by the historical and cultural environment protection policy on the regulatory compliance factors which residents in the historical and cultural environment conservation area recognized by using regression analysis, The result is as follows: First, level of management and reasonable setting of historical and cultural environment’ shows significant effects on the satisfaction of historical and cultural environment by statistics. Second, relative to other variables, ‘cultural interest (as personal factor)’ and ‘awareness of preservation area (as intangible benefit factor)’ shows significant effects on commitment to conservation of cultural heritage factor. Third, in the necessity of resident compensation, the influence of awareness and rational setting of historic cultural environment preservation area was relatively high. With these results, we suggest following policy suggestions for regulatory compliance in historical and cultural environment area. First, promotion and education programs has to be set for residents in preservation area. Second, reasonable standard of historical and cultural environment conservation area must be established. Third, for the efficient management of conservation are, residents support project has to be strengthened.
