다문화소설에 나타난 국가,자본의 폭력과 윤리 효과 그리고 로컬의 위싱 -『이슬람 정육점』과 『나의 이복형제들』을 중심으로

이 글은, 『이슬람 정육점』과 『나의 이복형제들』을 텍스트로 삼아, 공간의 분할과 이동이라는 측면에서 민족국가와 신자유주의가 다문화담론(현상)에 개입하는 양상 그리고 다문화담론 착종 공간에서 전개되는 저항의 양상과 한계를 살폈다. 두 텍스트는 각각 민족국가와 신자유주의에 초점을 맞추며 로컬을 다문화담론의 착종공간으로 설정한다. 『이슬람 정육점』에서 로컬은 단일한 성격의 공간으로 간주되며 인물은 입양이라는 과정을 통해 로컬의 이동(민족국가의 공간→다문화 공간)을 경험한 후 외부세계의 성격에 대해 개인적인 인식의 변화를 경험한다. 반면, 『나의 이복형제들』에서 로컬은 중층적 성격의 공간으로 이해되며, 소수자ㆍ타자‘들’의 언어ㆍ발화그리고 연대는 시장이라는 로컬에서 인정투쟁을 벌이다 공적 언어ㆍ발화에 의해 삭제된다. 두 텍스트가 공통적으로 제시하는 것은 두 가지다. 하나는, 소수자ㆍ타자들의 집단적ㆍ사회적 은폐라는 우울한 현실에도 불구하고 로컬은 소수자‘들’ㆍ타자‘들’ 간의 연대가 생성되고 확장되는 준거공간이면서 호명된 주체와의 인정투쟁이 전개되는 장(場)이라는 점이다. 또 하나는, 다문화담론이 민족ㆍ인종ㆍ종교의 차원에서 생산된 소수자에 국한됨으로써 이들을 개인화시킬 것이 아니라 계층ㆍ성ㆍ세대 등 다양한 층위의 소수자‘들’의 연대를 지향해야 한다는 점이다. With The Islamic Butcher’s Shop and My Step-brothers as texts, this thesis is to investigate how a nation state and neo-liberalism get involved in multi-cultural discourses and the aspects and limits of resistance being developed in an entangled space of multi-cultural discourse. These two texts focus on a nation state and neo-liberalism respectively, while establishing ‘Local’ as an entangled space. In The Islamic Butcher’s Shop, a local area is regarded as a space with simple characteristics, and the main character experiences cognitive changes about the characteristics of his external world in an individual level after moving to the local area through the process of adoption. On the other hand, in My Step-brothers, a local area is understood as a space with multi-layered characteristics, the language, utterance and solidarity of minorities and the others become deleted by the public language and utterance while struggling for recognition in the local area called ‘Market’. The two texts suggest two things in common. One is that the local area is a space of standard where solidarity is created and expanded between minorities and the others as well as a stage where they struggle for recognition against the subjects listed off. The other is that multi-cultural discourses should aim at the solidarity of minorities in various layers, such as hierarchy, class, gender, generation and physical conditions, rather than individualizing minorities by limiting minorities produced in the level of nation, race or religion.

『장석조네 사람들』은 바깥세상과의 대조를 통해 산동네 공간의 동질성을 확립·강화한다. 바깥세상은 복면의 공간·이원적 대립구조의 공간·거대담론의 공간으로 묘사된다. 복면은 역할의 수행 혹은 폐기의 상징인데, 여기서의 역할이란 이원적 대립구조의 내면화·주체화를 뜻한다. 극단적인 이원적 대립구조에 맞서 살아남기 위해 침묵·진술의 지연이라는 방법으로 미결성 공간을 창출해내려 한다. `지금 여기`의 산동네는 신자유주의·자본제적 세계화의 대타개념으로서의 로컬이 담지하고 있는 이상적이고 낭만적인 공간이 아니다. 공간적 인접성으로 인해 산동네는 서로에게 개방적인 공간, 소문의 공간이 된다. 소문이 산동네 안에서만 일회적으로 유포된다는 점 그리고 바깥세상의 거대담론은 소문의 내용에 포함되지 않는다는 점 때문에, 하위의 언어인 소문은 산동네를 일종의 공동체 공간으로 재편한다. 동시에, 소문에는 로컬 구성원의 오랜 무의식적 욕망과 이데올로기적 관습이 투사되어 있다. 『장석조네 사람들』은 `지긋지긋한 산동네`라는 로컬이 주인공인 소설이다. 이는 김소진의 소설에 대한 새로운 해석의 가능성, 즉 아버지가 아니라 아버지를 테제와 안티테제 중 하나로 규정하기를 종용하고 구조화한 1980년대의 이원론적 대립구조 자체에 대한 성찰과 대안 모색을 공간의 차원에서 시도하고 있다는 해석의 가능성을 열어준다. Chang sok-cho ne people establishes and reinforces the identity of the mountain village area contrasting the outside world. The outside world is described as a mask space, a space of a dual opposition structure, and a space for grand narrative. A mask represents the performance of a role or its termination, where the role means internalization and subjectification of the dual opposition structure. To survive an extreme dual opposition structure, this novel tries to create an openness space using the method of delay in silence and statement. The mountain village in "now here" is not an ideal, romantic space which the local as a substitution concept for new liberalism and capitalized globalization contains. The mountain village, due to its space adjacency, becomes a space open to one another and a space for a rumor. Now that the rumor spreads within the mountain village one time and the grand narrative of the outside world is not included in what the rumor says, the rumor - a sub-language - serves to reorganize the mountain village into a kind of community space. Simultaneously, the rumor represents the unconscious long desire and ideologic custom of the local members. Chang sok-cho ne people is a novel featuring a local called a "tedious mountain village". This opens an opportunity for a new interpretation of Kim So-jin`s novel, that is, an attempt is being made in terms of a space to seek self-examination of and an alternative to the dual opposition structure itself in the 1980s in which father is urged to be specified and structuralized as one of the two - These and Antithese - instead of as father.

제주 4·3사건을 기억·재현하는 또 하나의 방식 -다큐멘터리 <비념>을 중심으로-

이 글은 다큐멘터리 <비념>을 텍스트로 삼아 그 구조를 분석함으로써, 4·3사건에 대한 기억을 환기하는 데 있어 현재와 과거가 상호 충돌하거나 개입하면서 조우하는 양상 그리고 주제의식으로 수렴되는 과정을 살피고자 하였다. <비념>은 영화 자체가 비념(굿)이면서 순례·다크투어다. 영화는 비념(굿)의 과정과 순례·다크투어의 과정을 부조화되게 동시에 중층적으로 구성함으로써 두 과정의 충돌과 교차를 반복한다. 이를 통해 진정한 애도작업은 애도 주체의 현재적 시선에 의해 끝없이 계속될 수밖에 없게 되고, 4·3사건은 현존과 부재 사이에 위치하여 동일하지도 소멸되지도 않을 기억, ‘사건’으로 보존된다. 4·3사건을 ‘사건’으로 명명하면서 적극 호출하는 장소는 제주 해군기지가 건설되고 있는 강정마을 특히 구럼비 바위이다. 카메라는 강정마을을 찬성파와 반대파로 구분해내는 외지인보다는 여전히 침묵하고 있는 4·3사건 피해자에 주목함으로써 순례·다크투어와 비념(굿)의 교차점을 현재화하고 4·3사건의 현재적 의의를 풍성하게 만들어낸다. 비념(굿)과 순례·다크투어라는 두 장치를 통해, 상이한 두 존재 즉 외부인·순례자와 4·3사건 생존자는 상호 침투하면서 현재화·상상력의 작동이 가능한 존재가 되고 있다. This study will examine how the past and the present collide with each other or encounter by intervening in the opposite entity and how the two can converge on the thematic consciousness of the Jeju April 3 Incident by analyzing the documentary film “Jeju Prayer (2012)” as a text dealing with the memory of the historic incident. The film “Jeju Prayer” is not only a prayer (exorcism) but also a pilgrimage/dark tour. The film repeats the collision and intersection of the two processes by constructing the process of prayer (exorcism) and the process of pilgrimage/dark tour incongruously and in a multi-layered level simultaneously. Through this, the real task of mourning cannot but ceaselessly and continuously be carried out by the present gaze of the agent of mourning, and the Jeju April 3 Incident is preserved as an ‘event’ that would neither be the same nor extinct, located between presence and absence. A place that is actively summoned as it names the Jeju April 3 Incident ‘an event’ is Gangjeong Village, in particular, Gureombi Rock, where Jeju-do Naval Base is being constructed. The camera pays attention to the victims of the Jeju April 3 Incident, who still keep silence, rather than the outsiders who characterize Gangjeong Village into a place where the pros and cons opinions exist over the issue, and thereby enriches the cross point of pilgrimage/dark tour and prayer (exorcism), thus reawakening the present meaning of the incident. Through the two devices of prayer (exorcism) and pilgrimage/dark tour, the two different beings ― outsider/pilgrim and the survivors of the Jeju April 3 Incident ― interpenetrate each other and become the beings that can produce the present anew and can create imagination.

Second, intellectual disappearance being on the intellectual inside knows is to a power of explosion of outside world. The present world, the condition where the belief of intellectual and crisis - opposition of economic comfort make progress considerably is, the intellectual is not a possibility of having the existence base. Third, intellectual disappearance actual condition and disappearance reveals the confrontation attitude which differs from the work which is created in the work where even in the beginning of history box, the author is in spite of created on simultaneous end and the liberation flag. Um"s the intellectual novels created on simultaneous end express the criticism intellectual thought the general refusal and resistance against the present generation. Belief withdrawal of intellectual or the ruin which intellectual is complete and there are works which are announced in the other side and the liberation flag. When seeing from the viewpoint which is an intellectual disappearance, the work of simultaneous end change of the liberation flag work, it will be able to understand with ruin of the effort intellectual for the belief persistence and a disappearance and an intellectual demobilization of intellectual.<BR>  With this the cause of same change is visible with the fact that it is to difference of the despair feeling regarding at present generation. The intellectual of simultaneous end the sugar place world only it will not be able to perform at future. The abnormal world when compared to above it will not be able to perform, liberation only a quality possibility the simultaneous time which crawls compared to compared to it accepts at despair time and there is not.
