In this study, we have developed a novel step detection algorithm for gait evaluation of patients with hemiplegia based on trunk accelerometry device. For this, we have used a bandpass filter and a least square acceleration (LSA) filter which is characterized by emphasizing the peak or valley point of the acceleration signals for each 3-axis accelerometer signals. To evaluate the algorithm, the detected steps by developed algorithm and real steps by the motion analysis system were compared. As a result, we could obtain the sensitivity of 96.44%, the specificity of 99.94% and the accuracy of 99.90% for the patients' data sets and the sensitivity of 100%, the specificity of 99.93% and the accuracy of 99.93% for the normal data sets. In conclusion, the developed algorithm is useful for the step detection for patients with hemiplegia as well as normal subjects.

Soybean Da-sik was prepared with various soybean powder processing methods (roasting, steaming, and steaming followed by roasting) and sugar types (honey, oligo-sugar), and their sensory and physical characteristics were evaluated to determine the optimum preparation method. The results were as follows: 1. For Sample 1 (roasting soybeans for 30 min at 150℃ and grinding), the best appearance of Da-sik was obtained when the content of honey was adjusted to 35 g, and the color with 30g of oligo-sugar by sensory evaluation. The optimum texture was obtained with 40g of honey, and the optimum chewiness with 30g of honey. Overall, the optimum quality was obtained with 35g of honey, and oligo-sugar seemed to have less influence on the quality. In case of Sample 2 (four rounds of steaming and drying for 35 min), 40g of oligo-sugar was found to exhibit the best quality, and honey was less effective. For Sample 3 (three rounds of drying followed by 15 min roasting at 150℃), the best appearance and color were obtained with 35g and 40g of honey, respectively. The texture was most favorable with 40g of honey, while the chewiness was best with 30g of honey, suggesting 35g of honey was the optimum level for Sample 3 soybean powder than oligo-sugar. 2. The springiness, gumminess, hardness and chewiness measured by a texture analyser were highest with Sample 1 containing 30g of honey, and the cohesiveness with 40g of honey. 3. For color, the best brightness and yellowness were obtained with Sample 1 with 30g of honey. The redness was highest with Sample 3 with 40g of honey. Overall, the desirable recipe for soybean Da-sik was 35g of honey for Sample 1 and Sample 3, and 40g of oligo-sugar for Sample 2.

This study makes physical structure design criteria of sediment basin which can enhance the trap efficiency of the sediment based on existing researches related to the sediment basin, examines the physical structure of the sediment basin at Buju mountain, Mokpo city which causes the environmental problems like the erosion and sediment outflow due to the excessive development, compares and examines it to the design criteria and explores the problems. As the volume ratio is greater, the sedimentation ratio is increased and as the area ratio is less the sedimentation ratio is increased. The length to width ratio of sediment basin is required at least 2:1 or 3:1 avoid dead storage area. The depth of the sediment basin is determined by the duration of construction period and it can be calculated by estimating the accumulation of sediment during the construction period. The sediment basin depth is required at least 60cm to avoid resuspending of sediment. As a result of the analysis of the existing sediment basin, the sediment basin C has the greatest volume ratio as 1.48 and it can be expected the most trap efficiency of sediment, followed by sediment basin B, A, E, F and sediment basin D is least as 0.08 and it can be expected the least trap efficiency of sediment. The sediment basin C has the least are ratio as 11.96 and it can be expected the most trap efficiency of sediment, followed by sediment basin B, S, E, F and sediment basin D has the greatest area ratio as 145.33 and it and be expected the least trap efficiency of sediment. It is consistent with the trend of volume ratio. The length to width ratio. The length to width ratio of the sediment basin is less than 1 and it becomes a problem at sediment trap efficiency among physical structure elements of sediment basin, The depth of sediment basin needed for the accumulation sediment was good in all.

Levels of genetic diversity, population genetic structure, and gene flow in Hosta yingeri, a herbaceous perennial endemic to Taehuksan, Sohuksan, and Hong Islands, were investigated. Starch gel electrophoresis was conducted on leaves for 101 plants collected from three populations. Although the distribution of the spacies is restricted in the islands, it maintains high levels of genetic variation; 64% of polymorphic loci in at least one population (P_s), the mean number of alleles per locus (A_p) of 1.92, and the mean effective number of alleles per locus (Ae_p) of 1.52. Overall, mean genetic diversity (He_p=0.250) was substantially higher than mean estimate for species with very similar life history traits (0.102). Large population size, the persistence of multiple generations withing populations, high fecundity, predominantly outcrossing breeding system, large size of pollinator visitation areas may be explanation factors contributing the higher level of genetic diversity maintained within populations. Analysis of flxation indices showed an overall slight excess of heterozygotes (mean F_IS = -0.066) relative to Hardy-Weinberg expectations, which may in part be due to the near self-incompatible breeding system in the species. Significant differences in allele frequencies among populations were found for 14 out of 16 polymorphic loci ( P<0.05). Slightly more than 80% of the total variation in the species was common to all populations (G_ST = 0.198). As expected, indirect estimate of the number of migrants per generation (Nm = 0.45, calculated from mean G_ST) and nine private alleles found in the three populations indicate that gene movement among three isolated island populations was low.
