Purpose: This study was done to examine differences in chronic pain, pain coping, and depression according to attributions of somatic symptoms among the elderly. Method: Data were collected by self-report questionnaires from 195 persons age 65 or over. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Scheffe's test were used to analyze the data. Results: There were statistically significant differences in chronic pain among the elders according to educational level and duration of pain, and in passive coping according to gender, physical function and duration of pain. There were statistically significant differences among the elders in active coping according to amount of spending money, in depression according to age, educational level, amount of spending money, and physical function. There also were statistically significant differences in chronic pain, pain coping, and depression according to attributions of somatic symptoms. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that elders who have somatic attributions are incline to complain more severe chronic pain, to cope passively, and to manifest more severe depression than elders who have normalizing attributions. Continuous research is needed to improve effective nursing interventions for attributions of somatic symptoms among elders.

This paper discuss the type of discourse associated with mental illness and individuals with mental illness in the context of TV documentary. Discourse is an linguistic product which prescribes and interprets the reality and reconstructs the reality systematically. Therefore, TV documentary contents illuminate the dominant discourse associate with mental illness through the diverse types of representation. We picked four TV documentaries from each public channels and analyzed these documentaries using Fairclough`s Critical Discourse Analysis. Faircough suggests the analysis frame consisting of three level. The analysis reveals that TV documentaries produce the discourse the completion of Distinction associated with mental illness and individuals with mental illness. TV documentaries suggest the reason why we distinct them from us in textual level. In discourse practice level, they suggest the method and the principal agent of distinction. For social practice, TV documentaries reinforce the dual attitude of viewer. Alternative discourse associated with mental illness and individuals with mental illness will be constructed when individuals with mental illness recovers the status of principal agents and produces strong voices about themselves.

Purpose: This study was done to identify the degree of appearance stress, ego-resilience, interpersonal relations, depression, and eating attitude and to investigate the main factors influencing eating attitude in women undergraduates. Methods: The research design was a descriptive survey design using a convenience sampling. Data were collected by self-report questionnaires from 238 women undergraduates. Data analyses were done using SPSS/WIN 18.0 program for descriptive statistics, t-test and multiple linear regression. Results: The mean score for eating attitude was 0.36. There were statistically significant differences in appearance stress and interpersonal relations according to type of eating attitude. Also, appearance stress, interpersonal relations, and depression were significant predictors explaining 39% of the variance in eating attitude. Conclusion: The results indicate that the factors influencing eating attitude should be considered when developing nursing interventions to change poor eating attitude for women undergraduates.

지역사회 비영리조직간의 민간자원조성 파트너십 형성 사례 연구 :

비영리조직들이 다른 비영리조직과 파트너십을 맺을 때 목표로 하는 것은 만성적인 재원의 부족을 해결하기 위한 경우가 대부분이다. 따라서 비영리조직간 파트너십은 대부분 연합모금의 형태를 갖게 된다. 본 연구에서는 비영리조직 간의 대표적 파트너십 행위인 연합모금의 형성과정과 그 내용을 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위하여 우리나라에서 대표적인 민간 모금기관이며 비영리조직들이 부족한 재원을 얻는데 가장 큰 영향력을 행사하고 있는 사회복지공동모금회의 연합모금 파트너십 형성 사례를 분석하여, 우리나라에서 실현가능하고 결과를 담보 할 수 있는 연합모금을 위한 파트너십 형성은 어떻게 이루어져야 하는가를 고찰하였다. 본 연구에서는 질적 사례연구 방법을 활용하여 사회복지공동모금회의 연합모금 사례를 파트너십에 대한 모금회의 시각. 파트너십이 형성되는 맥락, 파트너십의 형태, 파트너십 형성과정이라는 네가지 차원에서 분석하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 비영리 사회복지조직들이 부족한 재원을 충당하기 위한 가장 효율적인 기제로서 연합모금을 하기 위하여 어떤 파트너십을 형성하여야 하는지, 이를 위해 구사하여야 할 구체적인 접근방식과 전략은 어떤 것인지를 제시할 수 있을 것이다. The nonprofit organizations are united by an explicit common purpose, an understanding of what each could offer to insufficient resources. Therefore, a partnership between nonprofit organizations is established as a joint fundraising. This paper analyses the processes and the contents of joint fundraising partnership between nonprofit organizations. To do this, we analyzes the case of Community Chest of Korea and suggests the way how the partnership for joint fundraising establishes between nonprofit organizations. We use qualitative case study and we analyzes a case of Community Chest of Korea. The analysis reveals four dimensions of joint fundraising; a point of view to partnership for fundraising, the context of establishing partnership for fundraising, kinds of partnership, processes of establishing partnership. With this analysis, nonprofit organizations are able to understand how to establish partnership through joint fundraising as one of most effective mechanism to gain scarce resources and what are the efficient strategies and approachment for this.

조모의 손자녀 양육에 관한 문화기술지

사회경제적 조건의 변화에 따라 늘어가는 가족 해체의 대안으로 조손가족에 대한 사회적 관심이 증가하고 있는 현재 다시 짚어보아야 할 것은 조손가족이 갖는 사회문화적 가치이다. 조손가족에 대한 접근은 정책결정자나 전문가의 관점에서만 이루어져 왔으므로 조손가족 구성원들의 당사자 시각은 결여되어 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 반성에 기초하여, 조손가족 조모들의 양육 경험의 의미를 문화기술지 연구방법을 통해 알아보았다. 10명의 조손가족 조모들을 정보제공자로 하여 수집한 자료 분석 결과 조모들의 경험은 '다중의 경계 밖에 가족 만들기'라는 문화적 주제로 수렴되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 조손가족이 하나의 가족 체계로서 갖는 가치를 수용하고 이 체계의 고유성을 강화하고 보존하며, 조모들이 이미 가지고 있는 양육 기능을 더욱 계발하고, 조모와 손자녀 중간세대와의 연결을 꾀하는 실천적, 정책적 접근을 제안하였다. Due to the change of socio-cultural conditions, family dissolving is increasing. As an alternative, grandparents who parent their grandchildren are also increasing rapidly and many show deep concern at this phenomenon. The grandparents-grandchilderen families were approached through policy-makers' and professionals' perspective, not through insiders' view. The purpose of this ethnographic study were to explore the experiences and meaning-makings of grandmothers who are raising grandchildren. 22 narrative interviews with 10 grandmothers were conducted. The results of data analysis are as follows. The cultural theme in rasing experieneces of grandmothers is 'Constituting a family beyond the multiple boundaries'. This theme include four cultural meaning: 'Recunstuction of everyday life beyound boundaries', 'Boundary of relative poverty more rigid than boundary of absolute poverty', 'Compromising constantly with narmal culture having both inclusion and exclusion' boundaries', 'Having aspiration toward crossing the boundaries'. The policiy-makers and practitioners for the grandparents-grandchildren families should recognize the experiences and meaning-making of these families and should perform culturally perceptible and family-centered policies and practices.
