Along with the legalization of balcony extension, numerous contractors have been suggesting designs for apartment houses based on the residents desire for balcony extension. It has been investigated that most residents prefer the balcony extension due to the increase in space. However, numerous residents have been experiencing problems occurred due to the extension such as air conditioning and heating cost and sound insulation problems. Therefore, this study aims to suggest an objective decision making tool for the residents that aids the residents decision making on balcony extension considering pros and cons of balcony extension.

The purpose of this study is to explore the perception of dance and the continuity of participation, focusing on non-major college students who have participated in the activities of unending organizations that are conducting various dance popularization projects. As a result, 1: 1 in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 non-technical students who participated in the unending activity, and as a data analysis method, a multi-angle analysis method through inductive categorization was applied to increase the validity of the research results. Research Results First, before participating in the unending activity, participants in the study recognized dance as “professional art”, “closed art”, and “popular art”. However, after participating in the unending activity, they showed a change in perception by answering dance as “fun art”, “popular art”, or “attractive art”. In other words, the experience of dance activities was the opportunity to change the existing perception that dances were difficult and difficult, and was found to directly embody the uniqueness of dance. Second, in the question of participation in dance activities in the future, they answered that they would continue to participate in dance activities for ‘hobby as a hobby’, ‘improvement of specifications’ and ‘enhancement of happiness’. However, most of the study participants indicated their willingness to participate only in the form of dance activities such as unending.

Remodeling of apartment houses has been increasing recently and residents have chosen to extend the balcony along with the legalization of balcony extension in apartment houses. Balcony extension provides residents more space, however, it has been investigated that balcony extension increases construction cost, heating and cooling cost and decreases sound insulation performance. Therefore, this study focuses on developing a decision making index for residents in remodeling required apartment houses. The suggested methodology involves surveying actual residents, survey analysis by AHP and decision model development using logistic regression analysis.

Spathius exarator의 종 그룹에 속하는 S. ibarakius Belokobylskij et Maeto가 한반도에서 알락하늘소(Anoplophora chinensis)의 1령과 2령 유충에 외부기생하는 것으로 확인되었다. 산란유인목을 이용하여 유리알락하늘소와 알락하늘소의 기생봉을 탐색하는 과정에서 이 고치벌이 발견되었다. 이 고치벌의 진단형질과 수컷의 특징, 삽화 및 한반도에 분포하는 종들의 기주목록을 함께 제공하였다. Spathius ibarakius Belokobylskij et Maeto, which belongs to the Spathius exarator species group (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Doryctinae) was found as an ectoparasitoid of the first- and second-instar larvae of the citrus longhorned beetle, Anoplophora chinensis ($F{\ddot{o}}rster$) from Gwangneung, Pocheon, Korea. The discovery of this braconid wasp was made during the survey for parasitoids of the Asian and citrus longhorned beetles by using the sentinel log method. We herein describe diagnostic characters of S. ibarakius, including those of the male, and also provide illustrations. In addition, we present a host list of Korean species belong to genus Spathius.
COVID-19 감염병 대응 의료진용 개인보호복 착용 시 온열 심리반응: 기온과 보호수준의 영향

We aimed to evaluate discomfort levels while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) of healthcare workers to protect from COVID-19 in a hot and humid environment. Six types of PPE (0.18~1.77 clo in thermal insulation; 0.227 ~ 0.319 kPa·m²·W<SUP>-1</SUP> in water evaporative resistance) were chosen and eight subjects (23.1 ± 3.3 y in age) were participated in a neutral (25ºC, 50%RH) and a hot and humid environment (33ºC, 70%RH). A trial consisted of 90 min (10-min rest, 60-min walking and 20-min recovery). Thermal sensation, thermal comfort, humidity sensation, shortness of breath and ratings of perceived exertions (RPE) were recorded. The results showed that the PPE were classified as three levels in terms of discomfort in 33ºC and 70%RH (Low, Middle, and High). Local thermal comfort, shortness of breath and RPE were more valid to classify the discomfort level, rather than overall thermal sensation or comfort. Furthermore, there were no relationships between thermal insulation (or water evaporative resistance) and overall thermal sensation or comfort. Using a powered air purifying respirator was beneficial in the neutral environment only. To conclude, the three levels of discomfort can be applied to improve subjective perceptions of healthcare workers who wear PPE in hot and humid environments.
