Ha(Dong-A Univ,)<br/> ABSTRACT<br/> To investigate the method of the simultaneous reduction of Soot and NOx, we developed a new conception for dual fuel stratified injection system in a Diesel Engine.<br/> Some parts of the injection system, ie. nozzle holder, delivery vale. were remodeled to inject diesel and methanol in order from one injector. The Quantity of diesel and methanol was controled precisely by micrometers that were mounted at control lack of injection pump.<br/> The real injection Quantity ratio of dual fuel was certificated by volumetric ratio at injection Quantity experiment. We could confirm the capability that soot and NOx simultaneously were reduced by diesel-methanol stratified injection from the results of combustion and exhaust characteristic.<br/>

Flame characteristics of periodic fuel jets were studied experimentally by supplying the fuel periodically using solenoid valve. Flame was observed using a high speed camera, a 35 mm camera and a cathetometer. Hot-wire ananometer was used to measure the speed of fuel flow at the nozzle exit to analyze the flow characteristics. Various types of flame characteristics such as the flame lift-off and extinction were observed for different ranges of period, duty, and flow rate of the jet. Especially lift-off and extinction were affected by variations in the period and the flow rate, but the flame shape was Lot affected much by the variation in the flow rate. Decreasing duty of the pulses applied to the solenoid valve promotes lift-off and enhances premixed flame characteristics.

Studied in this paper is effect of the factors, participating in the combustion as the initial conditions, such as the flow characteristics of the mixture and the initial temperature, pressure and equivalence ratio in the chamber on the ignitability of the mixture, the combustion duration and the maximum combustion- pressure.<br/> The experiment was performed in a constant-volume combustion chamber, with turbulent flow inside, equivalent to the actual engine at TDC.<br/> Used in the experiment are three ignition devices, which differ from each other in the distribution and the magnitude of discharge energy.<br/>
용융탄산염 연료전지용 금속 분리판의 기계적 거동 분석 및 균질화에 대한 연구

Metallic bipolar plates of the MCFC(Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell) are composed of one center plate and two shielded slot plates. The unit cell of the shielded slot plate is trapezoidal in shape. From the analytical analysis of the simplified model of the unit cell, the stiffness and strength of simple deformation are obtained. FEM simulations were conducted to verify the analytical result. The homogenized material model for a plastically compressible anisotropic core is employed to simulate the mechanical behavior of the unit cell. The coefficients of the orthotropic elasticity and the yield criterion are obtained from the FEM simulation of the unit cell. The comparisons of the mechanical behaviors are made between the unit cell and the homogenized model.
