This study examined types and color conditions of street views through relationship of high-storied apartment house to street components which has great visual influence on urban street view and requires harmony with street environment as background factor and conducted positive experiment with high-storied apartment houses located at housing site development districts in Gwangju Metropolitan City since 1990s in order to set applicable color ranges in designing external colors of high-storied apartment houses which became background of street view by types. Consequently, in image changes of four factors of main colors in classified street types, P, RP, R and YR colors showed high average values in naturalness, harmony and unity and GY, G, BG and B colors showed dichotomy with low average value, but image of personality showed generally low average value. RP, R and YR colors showed higher adaptability and GY, G and BG colors showed lower adaptability. It was confirmed that according to adaptability of main colors used in high-storied apartment houses by street types, there was difference of appropriate color range in street components and external colors of high-storied apartment houses by street types.

This study, as a case study of four university dormitories in Gwangju, examined the situation of interior space and conducted a quantitative survey investigating importance about the interior space and assessment factors of residential environment on users. Then user satisfaction at the assessment factors of residential environment was analyzed to draw problems and explore improvement. The results showed the following problems that should be resolved: Bedrooms should increase the area of convex space; toilets and bathrooms should be changed into a cluster type at least in common use by floor; rest space should reinforce heating and cooling system; robby space should become mixed space for various user's behavior; private fitness rooms should be planned as group fitness space; private libraries should reinforce lighting facilities; and computer rooms should complement and improve HVAC.
시거리에 따른 고층집합주택 외벽 색채 특성에 관한 연구

This study assumes that though buildings have identical color of the outer walls, their colors and images make the difference according to neighboring environmental factors and visual range. Based on the assumption, it carries a quantitative analysis of physical and image difference, targeting colors of the outer walls of high-rise apartment buildings within apartment complex. As a result, it is identified that the outer colors of the buildings on the streetside of high-rise residential complexes are significantly different according to neighboring environmental factors and viewers' visual range. And, it is suggested that in planning colors of outer wall, colors should be arranged in consideration of color difference according to visual range.

The purpose of this study is to investigate remodelling that meets the characteristics, intention and needs of antiquated apartment in Gwangju. For this study, firstly, we observed the current status and residents of old-aged apartments and attempted interview. Secondly, we used ethnographical interview of participating and observation methods based on cultural anthropology. The needed for this study was obtained by the questionnaires with 273 answer sheet. The data analyzing method was the statistic program SPSS. This study targeted more than 10-year-old seven apartment complexes which had above 10 stories. In respect of other needs of remodelling, it was very difficult to obtain uniform remodeling on which the whole residents agreed. As old-aged apartment could not be remodelled uniformly, remodeling types should be specified according to different complexes, buildings and units. Joint plans should be prepared for buildings or common space according to different steps of aging before joint remodelling and houses should be individually or jointly remodelled after joint plan is prepared. Current apartment remodelling is designed to increase economic values, but remodelling is more necessary for the residents with low-income. So, financial burden should be minimized and gradually remodelling apartment for improvement of residential environment is to be preferred.

This study analyses characteristics of residents, physical conditions of apartment houses, and satisfaction of residential environment in order to present suggestions on direction to improve residential environment. For the purpose, this study conducts a field study and interviews the subjects using a questionnaire. 273 copies of the answers are statistically analysed. For the scope of the study, it selects seven 10-storied large buildings which were built more than 10years ago. As a result, this study finds that we need a urgent improvement plan of ageing apartment houses in consideration of ageing residents, low-income, diversified classes, higher sedentary status of the aged, accelerated slums of apanment houses, remodelling of a family 10 overcome ageing, high satisfaction in neighboring environment, and low satisfaction in environment of complexes, buildings, and families, That is. rather than uniform environmental improvement. we need to develop better environment that fits for``" needs of residents of various classes and where residents are willing to stay continuously before they decide to move out due to ageing.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of the floor classification and the main-living behavior, and the tendency of using furniture and space by surveying the situations of using An-bang space by apartment dwellers. An-bang is a factor that influences on the unit-plan organization, the whole spatial arrangements, and the spatial relation and size, and has the most severe friction between the tradition and western culture. Given seeing the results shown in the main-living behavior by floor type, that the rest and TV watching were shown to be high in terms of a free-standing type can be said that An-bang is more for the individual rest than far the purpose of family harmony. On the other hand, that the family courtesy was shown to be a little higher a sitting-down type, could be understood that the sitting-down style, which is a traditional living mode, is appearing in An-bang.
고층집합주택 외벽 색채가 가로경관에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

This study examined the effect of the main color of apartment building as background color on the preference for residential streetscape in the relation with surrounding environment of streetscape with its focus on the color of apartment building outer wall. To research a visual evaluation structure, this study aimed to understand its characteristics through quantitative assay and to provide more scientific and specific data about improvement direction. The results suggested that the current brightness and chroma of main color of apartment building was high and low respectively which was advisable. On the other hand, in the color, when the components of the whole streetscape included buildings or soundproofing walls, a streetscape image needed to be improved though the color scheme of 4-distance color difference.

This study is to draw index of discriminating visual word "seeing" among several expressions of vision used in our daily life in relation to view and visual behaviors and examine the relationship between visual behavior and view based on this index.<br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/>
