Ambient Adjusted line Rating(AAR) method for overhead transmission lines considering Risk Tolerance(RT) was proposed in this paper. AAR is suitable for system operators to plan their operation strategy and maintenance schedule because this can be designed as a seasonal line rating. Several candidate transmission lines are chosen to apply the proposed method in the paper. As a result, it is shown that system reliability was significantly enhanced through maximizing transfer capability, solving the system constraints.

In this paper, previous studies on the method of quantitatively evaluating the grid resilience were investigated. The grid resilience of the test system was evaluated for the large-scale forest fire scenario by applying the some selected grid resilience evaluation methodologies. In addition, the effectiveness of each countermeasure to minimize the power supply disruption due to large-scale forest fires was evaluated as an improvement in the level of grid resilience. The contribution of this paper is a quantitative evaluation of the resilience of the Korean power grid for large-scale forest fire scenarios, and through this, we found that the evaluation indicators developed in previous studies are partially insufficient in evaluating the resilience of the Korean power grid.

For various reasons, the power system stability margin is continuously decreasing. However, in case of Korea, the expansion of the transmission system is facing difficulties due to worsening social acceptability. As an alternative, a technology to increase the power system stability margin using some converter-based facilities is being proposed. In this paper, GS-ESS(Generator Stabilization Energy Storage System) was proposed as a measure to improve the angular stability of synchronous generator. To overcome the limitations of typical ESS frequency measurement methods(using PLLs), GS-ESS directly measures the rotational speed of the generator mechanically and converts it into an electrical signal. In this case study, PSS/E simulation has been performed to analyze the effect of GS-ESS application. For this simulation, we used the 21 buses test system and GS-ESS was installed in the plant bus. And then we analyzed the effects of improving stability according to capacity and response speed in case of fault on the interconnection line between generator and power system. As a result, this case study showed that GS-ESS can be contributed to improving the angular stability of the synchronous generator.

본 논문에서는 전력시장 및 계통의 운영에 따라서 발생될 수 있는 시장참여자들의 편익을 정의하고 최적조류계산(OPF)을 이용하여 편익을 산정할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였으며, 이를 이용하여 송전선 투자에 따른 효과를 분석하고, 도매전력시장의 구조에 따른 투자 효과를 비교분석하였다.

최근 보급률이 급격하게 증가하고 있는 소형열병합발전(CHP)의 도입에 대한 전력회사(Utility)의 영향을 분석하기 위해서는 편익과 손실을 함께 고려해야 하는데 CHP의 도입에 대한 편익을 분석하기 위하여 사용되는 회피비용은 크게 에너지회피비용, 설비건설 회피비용, 손실회피비용 그리고 환경회피비용으로 구분된다. 그리고 기존의 전력회사Utility의 측면에서 CHP 도입으로 인한 전력판매 수입의 감소나 시장점유율 축소도 함께 분석을 해야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 CHP보급으로 인한 편익 중 에너지회피비용(Energy Avoided Cost)을 산정하기 위한 효율적인 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
