Under certain circumstances some of the substation power quality is lower than expected. To analyze the situation out, 9 substation was selected and power quality was measured for more than 48 hours. Measurement was classified by train service route and measuring point inside the substation. Additionally, Power quality of electric motor car was measured for more than 15hours at the correspond to the substation section. Huge amount of power quality data was gathered such as voltage regulation, harmonics, power factor, load regulation, electric energy, load flicker, frequency. Through this measurement major and minor reasons were verified. Major reason of the substation power quality was the train loads, on the other hand minor reasons are substation power distribution method, supplying distance, and load unbalance rate.

Gyeong-bu railway line in Korea between Seoul and Cheon-an was built as two double tracks. A four-display signaling system, only for the metro line, was installed on the second double track so KTX and conventional trains can only operate on the first double track. This study suggests a method to allow KTX and conventional trains operated on the five-display signaling system to respond to accidents and track defects on the second double-track under the four-display signal system by means of problem analysis, calculation of breaking distances for KTX and conventional trains at each break mode, and improvement of the ATS system.
ETCS 발리스 전송시스템의 에어갭 인터페이스 특성검토

The most functionally important component of the ETCS is Balise transmission system for transmitting track signals and track conditions to a moving train. This is to install a balise on the track and an antenna on the train to transmit digital information to trains passing on the balise. Balise and balise antennas are demands will continue to grow, and their performance and reliability will continue to be demanded as simple and key components of the ETCS configuration. This study analyzes and generalizes the technical characteristics of the Balise air-gap Interface to contribute to the continuous technological development of related engineers.

열차의 운행방향을 바꾸기 위하여 설치되는 전기선로전환기는 우리나라에 1만대 이상 설치되어 있다. 그 중 일반철도 및 도시철도 구간에 사용되는 전기선로전환기는 1960년대 말 일본에서 도입된 NS형 또는 NS-AM형으로서 전체의 95%이상을 차지하고 있다. 선로전환기(분기기)는 열차운행상 가장 취약한 개소로 관리되고 있으며 사소한 결함에도 대형 열차사고가 발생될 수 있다. 본 연구에서 몇 가지의 전기선로전환기를 조사 분석한 결과 선로전환기 설계상의 3대 핵심기능으로서 전환기능, 쇄정기능, 쇄정검출기능으로 구분할 수 있으며 충분한 안전성을 확보하기 위해서는 전동기 회전량의 50%이상을 쇄정기능과 쇄정검출기능에 사용하고 기계적 쇄정작용이 40%이상 완료된 후 쇄정검출이 되도록 하여야 하는 것으로 분석되었다. Ten thousands of electric switches have been equipped for trains to exchange railway tracks in Korea. Among of them, the electric switches operated in Rapid Transit Railway or Wide Area Railway imported from Japan since late in the 1960s, which of them, more than 95% are NS type or NS-AM type. A switch has been managed as an weak point, so it could cause a large-scale mishap from even a minor defect. In this researches, we conclude that the core functions of switches be composed of switching (or change over), locking and lock detecting operation, also it must use more than 50% of torque of main motor to secure enough safety characteristics, and lock detecting timing should be set after the time when more than 40% of locking operation be processed also.
발리스 전송시스템에서 에어갭 주변의 매질변화가 발리스에 미치는 영향 분석

In the ETCS system, Balise is the most important element for transmitting track signals and track information to a moving train. The Balise is activated by tele-powering signal from the antenna of the passing train and transmits the train control telegrams. The tele-powering signal directly affects the uplink signal transmission quality. This paper presents an analysis of the effect on the Balise transmission characteristics by medium changes around the air-gap. Simulations were carried out based on the modeling result in free air according to the Balise air-gap standard.
KTX 산천운행시 발생되는 전자파노이즈에 대한 AF궤도회로(TI-21) 신뢰성 확보방안 기술연구

KTX산천차량이 국내기술로 개발되어 현재 경부고속철도와 기존선구간인 경부선과 호남선, 경전선을 운행하고 있다. 2010년 KTX산천 영업시운전 당시 일반철도구간 경부선 및 호남선 하선구간 운행시 반대편 인근 상선의 특정한 궤도회로(AF궤도회로 “C” TYPE)가 오동작하여 신호기가 정지하는 현상이 발생하였으며 이에 대한 해결방안으로 “ C ”type AF궤도회로 수신기에 대해 노이즈 해석능력을 갖춘 디지털방식으로 개선하여 현재는 이와 같은 오동작 현상은 더 이상 발생하지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 개선된 궤도회로 수신기의 전자파노이즈 분해능력 원리, 시험 및 검증방법에 대하여 논하고자 한다. KTX-Sancheon, developed with Korean Technology, has been operated on Gyeongbu, Honam, Gyeongjeon normal lines and Geongbu high speed line. When the high speed trains were made a trial run on Gyeongbu and Honam downbound normal lines in 2010, The signals stop occurred since specific track circuits such as C type AF track circuits didn’t work properly on the upbound line opposite. To deal with this problem, we improved C type AF track circuit receivers from analog into digital type which have a noise analysis function so that the problem didn’t occur any longer. In this paper, we aimed at defining principles, a test and a way of verification about electromagnetic noise analysis function of the improved track circuit receivers.

고속철도 전차선로에 설치된 드롭퍼의 와이어가 파단되어 원인을 분석하기 위해 드롭퍼의 구간별/설치위치별/지역별 단선현황 분석, 파단면 SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope) 분석, 미세조직 분석 및 드롭퍼에 작용하는 정적하중을 계산하였다. 또한 고속철도 전차선로에서 드롭퍼의 정적 및 동적하중 측정과 분석을 통하여 드롭퍼의 피로 하중 특성을 확인하였고, 지지점의 압상량을 측정 및 분석하였다.
