여호와 증인 환자에서 산부인과적 무혈 수술의 임상적 고찰

Objective : Jehovah's Witnesses are members of a religious denomination whose beliefs prohibit the use of blood or blood products. Plasma volume expanders and extracorporeal hemodilution of the patients's own blood are theologically acceptiable. And so we evaluated effectiveness of major operative procedures carried out on Jehovas's Witnesses patients without blood transfusions or blood products. Methods : We retrospectively studied 50 cases of Jehovas's Witnesses who underwent obstetric and gynecologic bloodless surgery from February 1995 to August 1999. No patients recieved any blood or blood products during hospitalizaion. Results : The age distribution of patients was between 9 years and 58 year, average 36.7±8.7 years old. The most common cases for bloodless surgery was Cesarean section. The recombinant human erythropoietin(EPO) was treated in 5 cases of Cesarean section, 2 cases of TAH and 2 cases of ovarian tumor perioperatively. EPO-treated 9 cases were increased postoperative mean Hb levels compared with preoperative mean Hb levels. Histology revealed 9 cases of adenomyosis, 8 cases of leiomyoma, 3 cases of germ cell tumor, 2 cases of ectopic pregnancy, 1 case of CIS, 1 case of Krukenberg tumor, 1 case of epithelial cell tumor, 1 case of hemorrhagic corpus tumor and 1 case of sexcord stromal tumor, total 27 cases. There was no operative death and postoperative morbidities were few. Conclusions : We concluded that if we preformed the surgeries with careful operative techniques and various blood conserving procedures we could do the bloodless surgery of Jehovah's Witnesses with relative safety. But the establishment of a well programmed special medical supports for the Jehovah's Witnesses community will be needed in future.

This paper examine developments of intelligent prosthesis system by analysising founction of New C-Leg is made by Otto Bock in Germany. At first, it will describe gait pattern of normal people, and that will describe methode of appling in New C-Leg. Second, it will introduce C-soft that is finely changing movement with matching users habit. At least, it will describe mode change about exercise.
3점 굽힘 실험에서 강화 피라미드형 코어를 가지는 샌드위치 소재에 대한 파손 모드에 관한 연구

Construction of sandwich materials involves a composite material structure of light weight, high strength and good dynamic properties. In recent days, demands for materials with high strength and light weight are ever increasing. In this study, a micro sandwich structure named as “shaped-sheet pyramidal truss core” is proposed to improve the mechanical strength by changing the cross-sectional shape at the central portion of the core. In the sandwich with the reinforced pyramidal truss core, elastic buckling and yielding of the reinforced core, elastic wrinkling and yielding of the face sheets of the sandwich, and the plastic buckling of the reinforced core and plastic wrinkling of the face sheet after yielding have been identified as the six competing modes of failure. Analytical expressions for the bending and compressive collapse strengths in each of these modes are derived and used to construct collapse mechanism maps for the sandwich panel with the reinforced core. The structural efficiency was affected by the ratio of thickness of face sheet (tf/l) and the length of the core’s base(Lc/l). The maps are useful for selecting the geometries of the sandwich panel with the reinforced pyramidal truss core that maximize the collapse strength for a given relative density.
용융탄산염 연료전지용 금속분리판의 굽힘변형에 관한 연구

The electrolyte matrix (MEA) of MCFC is used for electronic insulation and ionic communication between electrodes. Due to the weak mechanical strength of ceramic materials, the matrix is easy to crack when the cells are moved and stacked. In this study, bonding between the shield slot plate and the electrode is used to prevent the crack. Bonding reduces the deflection of MCFC cells, bending behavior in particular. The small deflection of matrix is derived from the bonded structure of MCFC cells. Under 3-point bending test with the bonded structures, it is shown that the bonded structure is strong against bending. Bonding between the shield slot plate and the electrode is necessary to prevent the crack of the matrix.

This study was carried out to evaluate the shock-proof of a large scale motor for the naval vessel using full transient dynamic analysis. Finite element models for main assemblies (motor frame, rotor and stator assembly) were consisted of the tetrahedral solid elements and the equipments which installed in the upper side of the motor were substituted the mass elements. And we also modelled resilient mounts of a motor using the beam elements with appropriate directional stiffness. The analysis was conducted applying directional triple half triangle shock wave to the motor using ANSYS 11. As a result, we could find the motor to satisfy the design criteria of the maximum stress and deformation.
