The safety and comfort of car seats were studied by utilization of engineering analysis/ experiment and human engineering data. As important factors of the static seating comfort, static spring constant, body pressure distribution, driving posture were discussed. In connection with the dynamic seating comfort, vibrational characteristics of domestic car seats (natural frequencies, damping, frequency spectrum, transmission ratio) were measured and discussed. Finally, the safety of the seat was analyzed and evaluated through calculation and experiments.
전산유동 해석기법을 이용한 반사형 금속 단열재의 단열성능 최적화 설계

Generally, materials of low thermal conductivity are used for thermal insulation. But it is necessary to build up a safety-enhanced Reflective metal insulation (RMI) of high thermal conductivity in nuclear power plant. RMI is made of thin stainless plate with low emissivity and closed air space. Thermal radiation is blocked by stainless steel with low emissivity. Thermal conductivity and thermal convection are blocked by closed air space. Analysis of the conjugate heat transfer in RMI including an air layer, using computations of air layer thickness with parallel partitions were analyzed to improve the insulating capacity of RMI. Computational analysis showed that the radiation heat was dramatically reduced, when there was an increase in the number of thin plates. However the number of thin plates of RMI is limited by the production costs and RMI with 7 partitions(thickness of air layer: 0.85cm)can perfectly prevent the generation of the convection of air.
