Uterine leiomyomas cause some complications in pregnancy. Most common complication is red degeneration causing acute pelvic pain. Torsion of a uterine leiomyoma is rare but more frequent during pregnancy. It represents emergency surgery to improve symptoms and prevent complications such as consumptive coagulopathy. We have experienced a case of torsion of subserosal leiomyoma during 1st trimester of pregnancy managed using laparotomy and successfully delivered vaginally at fullterm period. So, we report the case with brief review of literatures.

The conventional types of X -ray generators were bulky in physical size and heavy in weight, and the control accuracies of the output voltages were not always satisfactory.<br/> The high frequency switching inverter and converter technology on power conversion and control systems have been greatly closed up introducing power semiconductor devices. To decreasing the volume and the weight of high voltage transformer, and to stabilize ripple.<br/> In this paper, the newly developed x-ray generator in a low cost using duty modulation PWM inverter. This system verify improved performance by stabilize ripple of X-ray tube voltage and compared the reproducibility, linearity and dose in single phase, three phase and PSU.

Objective: To evaluate the clinicopathologic features of extrapelvic endometriosis in order to help diagnosis and treatment. Methods: Thirty patients with extrapelvic endometriosis were surgically diagnosed at Pusan National University Hospital from January 1998 to December 2010. We retrospectively reviewed the medical records such as age, symptoms, preoperative diagnosis, past surgical history. Results: There were 30 patients who were diagnosed extrapelvic endometriosis surgically with a mean age of 38 years. The main symptom was palpable mass with pain, noncyclic (33%, n=9), or cyclic (67%, n=21). Fifteen endometriomas were found in the previous scar of cesarean section and laparoscopic surgery. Three endometriomas were noted in episiotomy site and ten were in cervix. Inguinal and vaginal endometriosis, one case was investigated, respectively. Conclusion: Diagnosis of extrapelvic endometriosis is difficult to diagnose because of its rarity and diversity of symptoms. Thus, It must be kept in mind as one of the differential diagnosis to treat patients with pain or palpable mass during menstrual cycle in or around surgical scars, even if vaginal spotting or abnormal pap test. Radical local excision help to treat and prevent recurrence of extrapelvic endometriosis.

This study is mainly for the reduction of exposure dose by using a heavy elements filter(Gd) in the digital radiology. They contained heavy elements filter of Gd and X-ray beam hardening filters such as Al and Cu. According to the results of experimental evaluation, X-ray property was not changed with variety of kVp in the case of the Gd filter. The surface dose and absorption dose were increased in order of Cu and Al. The contrast of image showed the higher value in order of Cu, Al and Gd. While the use of Gd has increased the numerical value of the CR image, and grayscale has decreased noise value of the DR image.

방사선부문 디지털시스템 중 일반촬영 부문에서 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 Computed radiography(CR) 영상판(image plate)의 검출시스템은 형광체의 빛 확산 영향을 받는 시스템이므로 영상을 흐리게 만들기 마련이다. 본 연구에서는 X-ray 발생장치를 이용하여 computer radiography 영상판의 정보전달능(modulation transfer function, MTF) 측정을 통해 해상도와 선예도 등을 알아보기 위해 현재 A병원에서 사용 중인 일반촬영용 IP 사용년수 3년 이상된 Fuji ST-Vn 모델과 사용년수 2년 미만인 Fuji ST-VI 모델을 대상으로 MTF를 측정하여 분석 비교하였다. 실험방법은 X선 발생장치를 이용하여 resolution chart법으로 시행하였으며, 레이저프린터로 출력하여 microdensitometer로 측정하였다. 실험결과, 2가지의 IP 모델은 차이가 있었으며, 해상도와 선예도 모두 Fuji ST-VI 모델이 우수하게 나타났다. Among the digital radiography systems, the computed radiography Image Plate Detector System is most frequently being used for the general radiography and also this system commonly diffracts the x-ray images since it is the system that is influenced by the light diffusion from the fluorescent substances In this study, by using the X-ray Generator, a comparative analysis has been made between 2 different models of computer radiography image plate investigate each model's resolution and sharpness through the modulation transfer function(M1F) measurement For the analysis, two image plates for general radiography one Fuji ST-VN model(more than 3years old) and one Fuji ST-VL model(less than 2years old) that are currently being used m "Hospital A" were sampled for the MTF measurement here As the experimental method for this study, the resolution chart method has been carried out by using X-ray generator, Also all the experimental data were printed out by laser printer and measured by microdensitometer. As the results of the experiment earned out in this study, some differences have been found between the two different IP models and fuji ST-VL has shown its excellence in both of the resolution and the sharpness fields.

In this paper, an auxiliary winding driving system of single - phase induction motors is described. Starting time variations are obtained by controlling the auxiliary winding voltage magnitude and phase angle, while the motor's main winding is directly connected to the local utility. A variable auxiliary winding voltage phase angle is shown to yield significant torque control, providing starting and braking torque. The analysis includes the determination of the relationship between the auxiliary winding voltage phase angle and the phase angle difference between the main and auxiliary winding current. The paper proposed for adjusting an auxiliary winding voltage magnitude and phase angle. Experimental results of motor's starting characteristics with using the PWM inverter for auxiliary winding power supply are shown. The drive is tested using a dynamometer to experimentally verify the results of the theory.
