The objective of this study is to investigate the change from 1963 to 2003 at the residential area in the old section of Seongnam City. The old section of Seongnam City is the planned city that has been aimed as, a residential area in order to solve the housing lack of the Seoul in the 60s. It began to be formed in the early 70s and the residential area was expanded in the 80~90s, and various house types appeared. Thus, it is the city which changed from the farm village to the city for a short period of time. So, the housing lack and residential environmental problem have been remained after city was formed. It have led to the urban renewal in the 2000s. This study clarifies the changing process and the locational characteristic of the apartment house which is the most dominant city house type that has been formed in change of urban spatial structure.

The reflection and transmission effects due to change of wave condition and size of a rectangular submerged breakwater installed in the sea bottom of constant water depth were theoretically estimated by potential connection method and investigated through two dimentional hydraulic model test. By this study the following conculusions were obtained. 1) The reflection coefficients (K??) estimated by experiment for some wave stiffness (H/L=0.033, 0.008) agreed with theoretical values in all parts except nodal point among theoretical values. 2) The transmission coefficients (K??) examined by experiment in the case of small wave stiffness (H/L=0.008), when the ratio of width of a submerged breakwater vs. water depth is 1.5, agreed with theoretical values.

The maritime accidents of vessel were investigated by using the maritime Inquiry courts data in korea from 1979 to 1987. The main results of the studies are summarized as follows. 1.The reason of the maritime accident were occured mainly on account of the operational fault (58%), Inferiority repair of engine equipment(21%), and unskilled temperament of seaman. 2.The type of the maritime accidents were collision(32%), engine trouble(18%), around(17.5%), foundering(12%) in order. 3.The accidents rates by the type of vessel were showed fishing vessel(46.9%), cargo vessel(32.6%), tankers(6.5%), passenger boat(4.7%) respectively. 4.As the restricted visibility, the accidents were occured between 8PM and 8AM(56%) in time, and more than 100G/T(39%) vessel.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the oceangraphical environments of the western inner sea of Chonnam during the period from February 1988 to November 1989. In this study five stations(St.) were set around Chonnam coast to examine seasonal vadiations on water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen(DO), pH, suspended solid, transparency, and chemical oxygen demand(COD). The results are as follows : Water temparature distribution range was 4.2℃ to 25.8℃. The temperature at St.5 was higher as 6.0℃ in the winter, while it was higheer as 25.8℃ at St. 3 in the summer. Salinity range was 30.31‰to 33.44‰, The highest of which was recorded in February, and the lowest in August. DO range was 4.15ml/l to 7.75ml/l. It recorded high at St. 4 where the tidal current is well. The highest and the lowest DO appear in February and in August respectively. Suspended solids ranged 4.0mg/l to 75.5mg/l. It is opposite to that of transparency which is 0.2 to 1.8m, high, at St. 1 and St. 4, and low at St. 5 where is a nerrow channel. Concentration of Hydrogen ion (pH) ranged 7.94 to 8.28. It approximates to the average value of sea water and to the standard value of the Environment. The changeable renge of COD was 0.14mg/l to 2.23mg/l. It was the highest at St. 1 in November 1989, and the lowest at St. 3 in Febrary 1988. In the results of correlativity with the elements, water temperature and DO revealed a large inverse correlation as T=0.2683-0.1676D(r=-0.2936), and suspended solids and transparency as S=8.4626-0.2191 T((r=-0.8975) in 1998. According to the results above, this investigated area, in a complicated oceanographical environment of the inner sea, is greatly affected by the tide, land water, atmosphere, and its surrounding. Moreover, it is an important sea area for fish crop and spawning.

The reflection and transmission effects by the change of space and size of the rectangular submerged breakwater installed in the constant depth of sea-bottom water were theoretically estimated and investigated by the potential connecting method and two dimentional hydraulic model test. In case of impermeable submerged breakwater, as it were, the effect of width, space and height of submerged breakwater were investigated sperately by the theoretical analyses and experiments on single and double submerged breakwaters. And, in the event of permeable submerged breakwater, space and height of submerged breakwater were investigated by experiments. According to this study, the following conclusions were obtained. 1) The theoretical and experimental values were very close in their numerical values in impermeable submerged breakwater. 2) The influences width and space of submerged breakwater on reflection and transmission effects were not constant but the repetition of increase and decrease and its influences became more greater as the height of submerged breakwater was more higher. On the contrary, there were little influences of width and height of breakwater on reflection and transmission effects in permeable submerged breakwater. 3) Double submerged breakwaters was more effective in wave damping effects than those of single submerged breakwater in impermeable submerged breakwater. 4) Wave damping effects of impermeable submerged breakwater were more greater than those of permeable submerged breakwater.
하구역에 설치된 이안제에 의한 하구지형변화에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 하구역에 이안제를 설치했을 경우 하천류가 없고 파가 경사져서 입사해 올 때 하구 및 제체 주변에 발생하는 해빈류의 흐름상태를 수치계산에 의해서 구하고 고정상 수리실험을 통하여 얻은 결과와 비교해서 본 수치모델의 타당성을 검증하였다. 또한 이동상 수리실험을 통하여 하구 및 이안제 주변에서 일어나는 지형변화를 검토하여 하구폐새 방지대책으로서 이안제공법의 효용성을 확인하였다. The flow pattern of the nearshore current generated around the breached breakwaters and river-mouth was simulated by numerical model in the case of the inclined incident wave without river discharge when the detached breakwaters were installed at the river-mouth area for the protection against the blockade of the river-mouth. The validity of the numerical model was testified y comparision with the results obtained through the hydraulic model test at the fixed bed. The deformation of the topographic features around the river-mouth and the detached breakwaters was examined through the three-dimensional hydraulic model test at the movable bed. The usefulness of the detached breakwater work for the protection against the blockade of the river-mouth was identified by the experimental results.
