컴퓨터 시스템을 위한 소프트웨어 개발에 있어 성능 최적화는 하드웨어 및 운영체제에 대한 전문 지식과 다양한 상황을 고려할 수 있는 숙련을 필요로 하는 매우 어려운 작업으로 알려져 있다. 특히, 임베디드 시스템의 경우 사용되는 하드웨어와 운영체제의 종류가 매우 다양하여 임베디드 소프트웨어의 성능 최적화에는 더욱 많은 시간과 노력이 요구된다. 자가적응형 컴퓨팅은 소프트웨어 개발에 있어 성능 최적화 작업 노력을 최소화하기 위한 기술로 소프트웨어 실행을 실시간으로 감시하면서 소프트웨어 실행에 관여하는 다양한 컴퓨터 시스템 리소스들을 제어하여 소프트웨어가 요구하는 성능을 자동으로 맞춰주는 컴퓨팅 기술이다. 본고에서는 자가적응형 컴퓨팅 기술 현황을 살펴본 후 임베디드 디바이스를 위한 자가적응형 컴퓨팅 기술 개발 사례를 소개한다.

Many computer vision algorithms are computationally expensive and require a lot of computing resources. Recently, owing to machine learning technology and high-performance embedded systems, vision processing applications, such as object detection, face recognition, and visual inspection, are widely used. However, on-devices need to use their resources to handle powerful vision works with low power consumption in heterogeneous environments. Consequently, global manufacturers are trying to lock many developers into their ecosystem, providing integrated low-power chips and dedicated vision libraries. Khronos Group-an international standard organization-has released the OpenVX standard for high-performance/low-power vision processing in heterogeneous on-device systems. This paper describes vision libraries for the embedded systems and presents the OpenVX standard along with related trends for on-device vision system.

In this study, the status of global advanced air mobility (AAM) was investigated to derive information and communications technologies (ICTs) that should be prepared according to directions of domestic AAM development. AAM is an urban air traffic system for moving from city to city by electric vertical take-off and landing or personal aircraft. It is expected to establish a three-dimensional air traffic system that can solve ground traffic congestion caused by the rapid global urbanization. With the full-scale commercialization of AAM solutions, high-density air traffic is expected, and with the advent of the personal air vehicle (PAV), the flight space usage is expected to expand. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a safe AAM service through early research on core ICTs for autonomous flight.

This paper proposes a method by which the estimated values of the unknown parameters of system are converged to the true values in finite time using adaptive deadbeat controller. After those are converged to the true values, the deviation from these values do not virtually exist or, if any, extremely small. Also we apply this technique of deadbeat convergence to a system contaminated with white noise or colored noise. It is shown that the estimated parameters of those systems approach the true values in finite time even though the performance do not match perfectly with the system without noises.
