Present study was conducted to investigate the availabilities of the phytic acid phosphorus and tricalcium phosphate as dietary phosphorus sources in starting broiler chicks. The phytic acid phosphorus and tricalcium phosphate were of almost equal availabilities to the chicks for growth, although low body weight gain and feed intake were obtained from the chicks fed a diet containing 1.5% calcium and 0.4% supplemental phytic acid phosphorus, which might be caused by the wide Ca/P ratio. The two dietary phosphorus sources had almost equal availabilities for the bone formation. Bone ash and bone phosphorus, however, decreased when chicks were fed a diet containing 0.7% calcium and 0.4% phytic acid phosphorus. It might be attributed to the low level of dietary calcium. Mortality and feed efficiency were not affected by any of the two phosphorus sources.

A total of 252 three days old broiler chicks were used in a feeding trial and a metabolic study. Birds were fed DCP, three levels of phytic acid and three levels of Ca-Mg-phytate to investigate the effects of phosphorus supplementation on the growing preformance of broiler chicks and nutrient utilization. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. Adding incremental levels of phytic acid to basal diet improved body weight gain and the improvement was greater in magnitude than adding DCP or Ca-Mg-phytate. 2. Feeding Ca-Mg-phytate improved body wt. gain and supplemental effect was similar to that of DCP. 3. No significant differences in mortality were noticed in all treatment groups. 4. Phosphorus levels and sources did not influence DM digestibility, but chicks fed phytic acid digested crude protein better than those fed other diets. 5. Apparent absorbability of Ca in Ca-Mg-phytate was higher than other sources, but when apparent amount of absorbed Ca was calculated, phytic acid was better than others. 6. Higher absorption of Ca and P generally resulted in improved growth performance of broiler chicks. It may be concluded from present results that supplementary phytic acid can improve the growth performance of chicks, and phytate may have some, although less, supplemental effect. Although the effects of DCP and Ca-Mg-Phytate supplementation were not significantly different, this may not necessarily indicate that phytate phosphorus was well utilized by chicks. The results should be interpreted in such a way that DCP used in the present study was poorly utilized. The exact reason is not apparent, but DCP used in present study might be anhydrous form, which is generally regarded as poor source of phosphorus.

Present study was conducted to compare effects of various levels of monoammonium phosphate (MAP) in promoting the growth of lambs, to determine nutrient digestion influenced by MAP levels, and to examine the effect of MAP levels on blood parameters. Various levels of dietary phosphorus were added to experimental diet with monoammonium phosphate. Four levels of MAP used in lamb trial were 0%, 0.4%, 0.8% and 1.2%. Feeding trial as well as metabolic trial and determination of blood parameters were conducted. Results obtained are summarized as follows. 1. Of the four MAP levels used in lambs studies, 0.4% MAP resulted in the best body weight gain. 2. Total feed intake and feed efficiency in sheep fed 0.4% MAP appeared to be higher than those fed 0%, 0.8%o and 1.2%, but differences were not significant. 3. Values of blood Ca, P and urea were erratic and no consistent trends were observed. 4. Increasing MAP levels in sheep diets did not significantly influence nutrient digestibilities and nitrogen retention.
무기태린 공급제의 이용성에 관한 연구 2 . 사료용 제2인산 칼슘제의 첨가수준이 육계의 성장 , 영양소이용율 , 혈액 및 경골성분에 미치는 영향

This study was carried out to assess effects of various levels of dietary phosphorus on the growth of broiler chicks, nutrient digestion and blood and bone parameters. Various levels of dietary phosphorus were added to experimental dits with dicalcium phosphate. Five treatments (LL; lower, L; low, O; optimum, H; high, HH; higher) having various dicalcium phosphate levels were involved in this trial. Feeding trials as well as metabolic trials and determination of bone and blood parameters were conducted. Of the various levels of phosphorus, a level (Optimum level in present trial) recommended. by NRC resulted in the best performance of chicks regardless of experimental period and modification of dietary ingredients. Parameters of bone, blood and digestibility and utilizability of nutrients were interrelated each other, but had little correlation with growth rate with a few exception.

The SRF(Superconducting Radio Frequency) test facility was constructed in Daejeon and a cryogenic system, which includes a helium liquefier, a distribution box, transfer lines, and a 2K-system, was also set up for the cryogenic temperature. To control the cryogenic system, an Allen-Bradley PLC and a Siemens PLC were used. The Siemens PLC for the helium liquefier was delivered by its maker and tested by them. The AB PLC hardware, draft automatic control logics, and interlocks for others, such as the distribution box, the transfer lines and the 2K-system, were designed by us. A Korean vendor made the hardware, programmed logics, and some GUIs. We and the vendor, together, have had some commissioning for the cryogenic control system. Some hardware which had problems were changed and some programs which had bugs were modified.

Fundamental experiences have been studied for development of pre-treatment process of Sn by-products such as solders. Dry and wet separation/recovery processes were considered by the differences of physical properties. The by-products, which are analyzed by solder metal and oxides. The metal and oxide were simply separated by dry ball-milling process for 12 hours, after that recovery metal powder might be reusable as lead or lead-free solders. In terms of wet separation process, samples were dissolved in $HNO_3+H_2O_2$ and the precipitation were analyzed by $SnO_2$. Overall efficiency of recovery might be increasing via developing simple pre-treatment process.
