        오배자의 항산화 활성성분 및 자유라디칼 소거효과

        This study was carried out to investigate the structure of antioxidative constituents and the free radical scavenging effect of the main ingredients from Galla Rhois(Rhus javanica Linne). Antioxidative activities of n-hexane, EtOAc and BuOH extracts of Galla Rhois were similar or even higher than that of natural (tocopherol) or synthetic antioxidant (BHA). It is suggested that major fractions for the antioxidative activity of Galla Rhois were the n-hexane, EtOAc and BuOH extract compartments. In the subsequently experiment, one active compound from n-hexane extract, three active compounds from EtOAc extract and one active compound from BuOH extract were isolated. Their chemical structures were identified as syringic acid, protocatechuic acid, gallic acid methylester, gallic acid and $1,2,3,4,6- penta-O-galloyl-{\beta}-D-glucose$ on the basis of the speculation of spectral data and chemical reaction. Among the compounds, protocatechuic acid, gallic acid methylester and $1,2,3,4,6- penta-O-galloyl-{\beta}-D-glucose$ showed most potent radical scavenging effect using DPPH method.

        북향개방지수가 복잡지형의 일 최고기온 추정오차 저감에 미치는 영향

        수평면과 경사면간의 일사수광량 편차의 정규화변량인 과열지수는 산악지형에서 일 최고기온 추정오차를 줄이는데 효과가 있다고 알려져 있다. 하지만 계산의 복잡성 때문에 경사도와 경사방향에 근거한 매개변량인 개방지수를 먼저 계산하고 이를 이용하여 과열지수를 간접적으로 추정하는 방법이 널리 쓰이고 있다. 이러한 개방지수 매개 간접추정법이 우리나라와 같이 복잡한 산악지형에서 일 최고기온 추정에 적합한지를 알아보기 위해 강원도 평창군에 위치한 도암댐 표준유역(면적 149 km2, 표고범위 651~1,445m)을 대상으로 야외실험을 실시하였다. 이 지역의 30m 해상도 수치고도모형으로부터 시험유역의 166,050개 격자점의 개방지수와 과열지수를 계산하였다. 이들 간의 관계를 계절별 최적 회귀모형으로 나타내고 이로부터 매월 15일의 과열지수를 개방지수로부터 추정하였다. 인근 대관령기상대와 비슷한 고도(해발 844m)에 경사방향이 서로 다른 7개 지점을 선정하여 온도계를 설치하고 2006년 6월부터 2007년 2월까지의 기온을 10분 간격으로 측정하였다. 추정오차를 종속변수로, 각 지점의 추정 과열지수를 설명변수로 둔 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 결정계수가 겨울 0.46, 가을 0.24, 여름 0.02로서 직접 계산된 과열지수를 설명변수로 하는 경우(겨울 0.52, 가을 0.37, 여름 0.15)에 비해 신뢰도가 떨어진 다는 것을 확인하였다. The normalized difference in incident solar energy between a target surface and a level surface (overheating index, OHI) is useful in eliminating estimation error of site-specific maximum temperature in complex terrain. Due to the complexity in its calculation, however, an empirical proxy variable called northern exposure index (NEI) which combines slope and aspect has been used to estimate OHI based on empirical relationships between the two. An experiment with real-world landscape and temperature data was carried out to evaluate performance of the NEI - derived OHI (N-OHI) in reduction of spatial interpolation error for daily maximum temperature compared with that by the original OHI. We collected daily maximum temperature data from 7 sites in a mountainous watershed with a 149 km2 area and a 795m elevation range (651~1,445m) in Pyongchang, Kangwon province. Northern exposure index was calculated for the entire 166,050 grid cells constituting the watershed based on a 30-m digital elevation model. Daily OHI was calculated for the same watershed and regressed to the variation of NEI. The regression equations were used to estimate N-OHI for 15th of each month. Deviations in daily maximum temperature at 7 sites from those measured at the nearby synoptic station were calculated from June 2006 to February 2007 and regressed to the NOHI. The same procedure was repeated with the original OHI values. The ratio sum of square errors contributable by the N-OHI were 0.46 (winter), 0.24 (fall), and 0.01 (summer), while those by the original OHI were 0.52, 0.37 and 0.15, respectively.

        This experiment was carried out to study the effect of light and Ag? onto root on nodulation and nodule distribution of pea dv sparkle. The results are summarized as follows; 1. The adequate nitrogen level for both the growth and the nodulation of pea was 5mM N under our experimental condition. 2. The light onto root increased the thickness of roots and inhibited the development of the tertiary roots. The light also inhibited the nodulation and resulted in the change of nodule distribution pattern; the frequency of segments bearing no nodules was increased almost twofold, and nodulation in the region from 1 to 5cm from primary root was dramatically decreased. 3. The shoot length, the root length, and total nodule number was not significantly affected by 1 μM Ag? treatment. However, the frequency of segments bearing more than 6 nodules per 1-cm root segment and the average highest nodule density (nodules/cm root) of each plant was increased, and the nodule density, especially, in the region from 0 to 4 cm from the primary root was increased to change the nodule distribution pattern.

        일 최저기온 공간내삽을 위한 지형기후학적 최적 공간규모

        Cold air accumulation plays a critical role in formulating daily minimum temperature in complex terrain on radiative cooling nights, and spatial interpolation can be improved by accommodating this important topoclimatic variable. Little is known about the spatial scale for computing cold air accumulation which influences daily minimum temperature. Air temperature was measured at 10-minute intervals during September 2002 - February 2003 at eight locations within a 1 by 1 km hilly orchard area. Minimum temperature data for suspected radiative cooling nights were collected, and the deviations from reference observations at a near-by KMA automated weather station were calculated. A digital elevation model with a 10m cell size was used to calculate the cold air accumulation at 8 locations. Zonal averages of the cold air accumulation were computed for each location by increasing the cell radius from 1 to 10. Temperature deviations were regressed to a common logarithm of the smoothed averages of cold air accumulation to derive a linear relationship between the local temperature deviation and the site topography. The highest coefficient of determination (r² = 0.78) was found at a cell radius of 5, which corresponds to an approximately 1 ha boundary surrounding the point of interest.

        생육모의에 의한 북한지방 시, 군별 벼 재배기후 예비분석

        Agroclimatic zoning was done for paddy rice culture in North Korea based on a simulation experiment. Daily weather data for the experiment were generated by 3 steps consisting of spatial interpolation based on topoclimatological relationships, zonal summarization of grid cell values, and conversion of monthly climate data to daily weather data. Regression models for monthly climatological temperature estimation were derived from a statistical procedure using monthly averages of 51 standard weather stations in South and North Korea (1981-1994) and their spatial variables such as latitude, altitude, distance from the coast, sloping angle, and aspect-dependent field of view (openness). Selected models (0.4 to 1.6℃ RMSE) were applied to the generation of monthly temperature surface over the entire North Korean territory on 1km×1km grid spacing. Monthly precipitation data were prepared by a procedure described in Yun (2000). Solar radiation data for 27 North Korean stations were reproduced by applying a relationship found in South Korea ([Solar Radiation, MJ m^-2 day^-1]=0.344+0.4756 [Extraterrestrial Solar Irradiance]+0.0299 [Openness toward south, 0-255]-1.307 [Cloud amount, 0-10]-0.01 [Relative humidity, %], r^2=0.92, RMSE=0.95). Monthly solar irradiance data of 27 points calculated from the reproduced data set were converted to 1km×1km grid data by inverse distance weighted interpolation. The grid cell values of monthly temperature, solar radiation, and precipitation were summed up to represent corresponding county, which will serve as a land unit for the growth simulation. Finally, we randomly generated daily maximum and minimum temperature, solar irradiance and precipitation data for 30 years from the monthly climatic data for each county based on a statistical method suggested by Pickering et al. (1994). CERES-rice, a rice growth simulation model, was tuned to accommodate agronomic characteristics of major North Korean cultivars based on observed phenological and yield data at two sites in South Korea during 1995∼1998. Daily weather data were fed into the model to simulate the crop status at 183 counties in North Korea for 30 years. Results were analyzed with respect to spatial and temporal variation in yield and maturity, and used to score the suitability of the county for paddy rice culture.
