저농도 폐수 재이용을 위한 전기흡착식 탈염화 기술 개발

물부족 현상이 전 세계적으로 심화되면서 물 재이용에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 증발농축무방류(Thermal ZLD: Zero Liquid Discharge) 기술 및 역삼 투압법을 이용하는 방식은 기술 수준이 이미 성숙기에 도달한 기술이나, 에너지 소비량이 높아 단가가 높은 단점이 있고, 이온교환법은 저농도 염수의 이온 제거 효과는 뛰어나지만, 재생과정에서 다량의 폐액이 발생하는 문제점이 있다. 이에 최근에는 이온교환법 대체용으로 전기화학 기술을 이용한 전기 흡착식 탈염 기술(Capacitive Deionization, 이하 CDI)을 발전 및 산업분야에 적용하기 위한 실증 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 전기 흡착식 탈염 기술은 탄소 전극에 전위를 인가했을 때 발생하는 전위차를 이용하여 물속에 녹아 있는 무기 이온(ex. Na<sup>+</sup>, Cl<sup>-</sup>, Ca<sup>2+</sup>, SO<sub>4</sub><sup>2-</sup> 등)을 흡착, 제거 하는 기술로 기존 기술 대비 에너지소모량(kwh/m3)이 적고 화학약품 사용이 거의 없는 수처리 기술로써 주목 받고 있다.
Locality-Sensitive Hashing for Data with Categorical and Numerical Attributes Using Dual Hashing

Locality-sensitive hashing techniques have been developed to efficiently handle nearest neighborsearches and similar pair identification problems for large volumes of high-dimensionaldata. This study proposes a locality-sensitive hashing method that can be applied to nearestneighbor search problems for data sets containing both numerical and categorical attributes. The proposed method makes use of dual hashing functions, where one function is dedicatedto numerical attributes and the other to categorical attributes. The method consists of creatingindexing structures for each of the dual hashing functions, gathering and combining thecandidates sets, and thoroughly examining them to determine the nearest ones. The proposedmethod is examined for a few synthetic data sets, and results show that it improves performancein cases of large amounts of data with both numerical and categorical attributes.
Locality-Sensitive Hashing Techniques for Nearest Neighbor Search

고차 주파수응답함수를 이용한 비선형시스템의 매개변수 추정

Presented is a method to estimate system parameters of a system with polynomial non-linerities from the measured higher order frequency response functions. Higher order FRFs can be measured on some restricted regions by sinusoidally exciting a non-linear system with various input amplitudes and measuring the response component at the excitation frequency. These higher order FRFs can be expressed in terms of system parameter, and the system parameters can be estimated from the measured FRFs. Since the expressions for higher order FRFs are complicated, system parameters can be estimated from them using an optimization technique. The present method has been applied to a simulated single degree of freedom system with non-linear stiffness and damping, and has estimated accurate system parameters.
Development of a Low Frequency Shaker using MR Dampers

In this paper, the possibility of the development of a new kind of low frequency shaker was discussed. In order to prove the possibility,a series of tests was performed using a direct-made experimental setup which contains a metal plate, springs and varying dampers. The frequency of the harmonic force variation and damper variation was set as f1 and f2. The plate center displacement achieves a peak point in the frequency component f1 and the rotational displacement achieves a peak point in the frequency components f1 + f2and f1 - f2. In the experiment, the damper variation changed due to the damping constant value and current magnitude. Meanwhile,research on the natural frequency of the rotational displacement will continue. The inference of the reason for absence of frequency component related to rotational displacement natural frequency fnr is that the MR damper shows non-linear phenomenon in this experiment.

The frequency response functions of systems incorporating a non-linear cubic stiffness subject to sinusoidal excitation are derived using the Volterra series and the convergence characteristics investigated. It is shown that the series representation of the frequency response functions converges only when the sinewave input amplitude is within a certain range. Within the range of convergence the frequency response function based on the Volterra series approaches the analytical one as more higher order frequency response function terms are included. Proposed is a criterion for the studies systems to predict approximately the range of sinewave input amplitude for which the series representation of the frequency response functions converges.
