Deep learning is a hot topic in both academic and industrial fields. Deep learning applications can be categorized into two areas. The first category involves applications such as Google Alpha Go using interfaces with human operators to run complicated inference engines in high-performance servers. The second category includes embedded applications for mobile Internet-of-Things devices, automotive vehicles, etc. Owing to the characteristics of the deployment environment, applications in the second category should be bounded by certain H/W and S/W restrictions depending on their running environment. For example, image recognition in an autonomous vehicle requires low latency, while that on a mobile device requires low power consumption. In this paper, we describe issues faced by embedded applications and review popular inference engines. We also introduce a project that is being development to satisfy the H/W and S/W requirements.

N/A A basic heat flow model has been developed to estimate the heat transfer coefficient at the casting/mold interface during squeeze casting. Based on the measured temperature profiles in squeeze casting of Al-4.5%Si alloy, heat transfer coefficients which vary with time were calculated by numerical method. The influences of the load and the amount of fraction solid on the heat transfer coefficient have also been studied. Using the calculated heat transfer coefficient two dimensional solidification analysis in the squeeze casting process was carried out by the finite difference method, and the results were in good agreement with the experiments. It may be concluded that heat flow analysis in the squeeze casting process with accurate heat transfer coefficient at the casting /mold interface is important for a proper design of cooling in die and finally for improving productivity and die life as well.

For the lighting of vehicles structural casting components of aluminum are substituted for those of steel or iron, In order to manufacture large-scale premium quality aluminum castings development of a new casting process and a heat treatment process are necessary. The optimum casting design and heat treatment condition for large-scale castings is drawn with the help of Z-Cast software for the casting process analysis in this study. Low pressure sand casting methode is applied successfully to product air bag support components of D357 aluminum casting alloy.

본 논문은 한영 혼용 텍스트를 입력할 때 한/영 키 모드 전환을 자동화하는 방법을 제시한다. 워드프로세서를 이용하여 한영 혼용문을 입력할 때 영문 모드와 한글 모드 사이를 전환하기 위하여 전환키를 눌러야 하는데, 이를 잊는 일이 빈번히 발생하여 (한글 LaTex를 쓸 때는 더욱 그렇다) 입력된 문자들을 지워야 하는 불편을 자주 경험한다. 이때 지워야 하는 문자의 수는 타속이 빠를수록 많아진다. 우리는 대부분의 영어 단어들이 한글 모드로 입력되었을 때 자모조합 법칙에 맞지 않음에 착안, 유한 오토마타(finite automata)에 기반을 둔 한/영 모드 전환 알고리즘(Automatic Korean/English Mode Interchange Algorithm)을 개발하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 평가하기 위해 UNIX 시스템에 있는 영문 사전과 한영 혼용 논문과 두 편의 영어로 쓴 기사를 입력으로 시험한 결과, 영어 사전의 경우 96.5%, 논문의 경우 98.1%, 영어 기사의 경우 83.3%와 85.2%의 정확도을 보였다. 따라서, 본 논문에서 제시한 알고리즘은 한영 혼용 문서를 입력할 때 매우 편리한 도구로 사용될 수 있겠다.
