        여대생의 생애목표와 진로적응성 간의 관계

        This study was designed to investigate the relationship between life goals and career adaptability of female college students. Participants of this study were 211 female college students in A city and B province. To analyze the data, a canonical correlation analysis was performed. Results of this study are as follows: First, female students had a higher score in the personal life goals than the achievement goals. The scores of career adaptability came in the order of control, concern, curiosity, and confidence. Second, a significant canonical function was produced, therefore a positive correlation between life goals and career adaptability of female college students was found. Third, both subscales of life goals were significantly related with career adaptability, achievement goals having larger effect than the personal life goals on the career adaptability. All four subscales of career adaptability were also significantly related with the life goals. Discussions and suggestions are provided based on these results.

        초등학교에서 중학교로의 전환에 관한 학생들의 기대와 지각

        The present study investigated the expectations and perceptions of students during the transition from elementary to middle school. The sample of the study consisted of 538 sixth grade elementary school students and 359 first grade middle school students. Participants responded to four open-ended questions regarding the middle school life. Elementary school students in the sample showed concerns of middle school life like studying hard, getting good grades, older students, school safety, new friends, rules of the middle school. They also presented positive expectations of making new friends, meeting new teachers, study, school facilities, school uniforms and various activities. The middle school students in the sample reported negative aspects of middle school life as an increase in study stress, rules, personal relation problems, insufficient leisure time, school safety problems. Positive aspects that the middle school students presented included making new friends, school facilities, new teachers, living with same-sex friends only, school uniforms, activities, etc. The discussion emphasized that preventive programming is needed to assist students with elementary to middle school transition. Guidelines for school counseling researchers and practitioners designing transition programs are provided.

        고등학생의 과학관련 진로선택에 나타나는 성차에 관한 사회인지적 분석

        While currently dominating theories, such as Super`s theory, Holland`s theory, the theory of work adjustment and social learning theory of career decision-making, are generally sound, it should be noted that they lack explanatory power when applied to women`s career development. A new social-cognitive career theory (SCCT) seems to be able to adequately account for the career behavior of women as well as men. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of gender, learning experience, self-efficacy, outcome expectation, and interest in the process of science career choice of high school students, as a partial test of the SCCT. In order to achieve the purpose, six competing career path models were developed and tested using covariance structure modeling. In addition to testing these six general models, two additional models for each gender were analyzed to closely examine the differences of the career choice processes between male and female students. The sample consisted of 719 high school students in Ohio from 12 schools. The overall findings of this study generally supported the utility of SCCT in explaining the career choice process of male and female students. Consistent with the prediction by SCCT, self¬ efficacy mediated gender effect on science career choice. However, the learning experiences (performance accomplishments and verbal persuasion), the important sources of self-efficacy information, did not mediate the gender effect on self-efficacy. In addition, the results of covariance structure modeling failed to demonstrate the SCCT`s notion that self-efficacy and outcome expectation affect career choice both directly and indirectly. However, the results did confirm the indirect effects. Relation to counseling research of these findings, counseling implications, and application possibilities to Korean situation are discussed.

        대학생의 수용행동이 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향: 인지적 정서조절 전략의 매개효과

        The purpose of this study is to examine cognitive emotion regulation strategies as a mediator of the association between acceptance action and psychological well-being among college students. 536 students (210 females and 326 males) from 3 universities participated in self-administered questionnaires designed to examine their acceptance action, cognitive emotion regulation strategies and psychological well-being. Correlation analyses, and standard and hierarchical regression analyses were used. The results were as follows: First, their acceptance action and cognitive emotion regulation strategies had an influence on the psychological well-being of college students. College students who took more acceptance action were more psychological well-being. However, it made a slight difference between two genders. Second, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies partially played a mediating role in acceptance action and psychological well-being. In other words, participants’ acceptance action directly influenced their psychological well-being and through cognitive emotion regulation strategies indirectly affected their psychological well-being. Results imply that acceptance action and adaptive emotion regulation strategies are important to enhance the collage student’s psychological well-being.

        지각된 부모화 경험이 청소년의 안녕감에 미치는 영향: 정서표현양가성의 매개효과

        The purpose of this study was to examine a mediating effect of ambivalence over emotional expression on the relationship between parentification and well-being of adolescent. The participants of this study were 613 students sampled from 10 school in Busan and Gyeongsangnamdo. They completed a set of questionnaires consisting of well-being, parentification and ambivalence over emotional expression. To analyze the data, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis were performed. Results of this study were as follows. First, well-being was negatively correlated with parentification and ambivalence over emotional expression. However, parentification was positively correlated with ambivalence over emotional expression. Second, ambivalence over emotional expression partially mediated the effect of parentification on well-being. Based on the findings, implications and suggestions for further studies were provided.

        대학생 또래상담자의 상담 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 대학생 또래상담자의 상담 경험과 인식 변화를 살펴봄으로써 대학 또래 상담에 대한 이해를 돕고 대학에서 적용할 수 있는 실천적 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 설정한 연구문제는 ‘대학생 또래상담자가 또래상담을 통해 경험하는 것은 무엇인가’이다. B·K 지역에 소재한 2개 대학의 또래상담자 10명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였으며, 자료분석을 위해 Giorgi의 기술적 현상학 4단계 분석방법을 활용하였다. 연구 결과 총 6개의 구성요소와 21개의 하위 구성요소가 도출되었다. 구성요소는 ‘또래상담에 대한 부정확한 인식’, ‘상담자 교육 경험을 실제 상담과 일상생활에 적용’, ‘상담 진행 중의 어려움과 극복과정’, ‘상담 진행에 도움이 된 수퍼비전 경험’, ‘또래상담에 대한 인식과 태도 변화’, ‘또래상담자 자신의 변화’ 등으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 현상학적 연구 방법을 활용하여 양적 연구에서는 탐색하기 어려운 대학생 또래상담자의 또래상담 경험에 대해 심층적으로 이해할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 대학 또래상담 운영 및 조력에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다. The purpose of this study was to obtain an understanding of university peer counseling by examining the counseling experiences and perception changes of student counselors, and to figure out practical measures that can be applied in university settings. The research question is ‘What do university peer counselors experience through peer counseling? In-depth interview was conducted with 10 peer counselors at 2 universities located in the B·K areas, and for the data analysis, Giorgi’s four-phase phenomenological method was used. As a result of this study, a total of 6 main components and 21 subcomponents were derived. The 6 main components were composed of as follows: ‘Incorrect perceptions on peer counseling , ‘Applying counselor training experience to actual counseling and their life , ‘Overcoming difficulties in counseling , ‘Helpful supervision experience for actual counseling setting , ‘Changes in perceptions and attitudes toward peer counseling , and ‘Changes in peer counselors themselves . By using phenomenological approach, it was able to understand in-depth peer counseling experiences of university students, which are rarely found in quantitative studies. Based on these results, implications and suggestions of peer counseling at the university were discussed.
