        암의 침구치료에 대한 최근 연구동향

        Objective: To review and summarize the existing evidence on acupuncture&moxibustion treatment for cancer and cancer related symptoms. Methods : We searched Pubmed and jurnal of Korean acupuncture &moxibustion. Results: We selected 17 articles. effectivness of cancer acupuncture &moxibustion treatment. 14 articles reported acupuncture &moxibustion to be effective in subjective symptoms and quality of life. Other three articles reported that acupuncture&moxibustion treatment was moderately effective but insignificant compared to sham acupuncture&moxibustion treatment. Conclusion: For the study on acupuncture&moxibustion treatments in cancer it is necessary that we conduct research on the various natures of acupuncture&moxibustion. More clinical data would be needed to prove the effects of acupuncture&moxibustion treatment in cancer.

        腰脚痛 환자의 華陀夾脊穴 침치료에 대한 임상적 연구

        Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate clinical effects of Hua-Tuo-Jia-Ji-Xue acupuncture to the patients with herniation of nucleus pulposus (HNP) of lumbar. Methods : Total of 40 patients with HNP of lumbar were participated in this study. We divided them into two group; A group using conventional acupuncture and B group using conventional acupuncture and Hua-Tuo-Jia-Ji-Xue acupuncture at the same time. All the subjects were asked to complete the VAS(visual analogue scale) and ODI(Oswestry disability index) before and after treatment. Results : Both A and B group represented effective improvement in VAS and ODI. And, B group is more effective than A group statistically. Conclusions : A comparision of VAS and ODI results of the two groups show that Hua-Tuo- Jia-Ji-Xue acupuncture trement can give be more effective method on lumbago patients, if it is added conventional acupuncture. Further clinical studies are needed to verify these findings.

        肝兪(BL18) 桑白皮약침이 Galactosamine에 의해 유발된 흰쥐의 肝손상에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : This study was designed to investigate the effect of pharmacopuncture of Mori Cortex on galactosamine-induced liver injury in rats. Methods : Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 5 groups; Normal, liver injury not induced and not treated group. Control, the liver injury-induced and not treated group. Saline group, the liver injury-induced and saline injection at BL18. HA-1 and HA-2 group, the liver injury-induced and pharmacopuncture of Mori Cortex applied to BL18, each 1.3μg/g, 2.6μg/g. Then we observed the changes of γ-GTP, GOT, GPT, LDH, total cholesterol, triglyceride, total bilirubin. Results : Pharmacopuncture of Mori Cortex treatment significantly inhibited the activities of γ-GTP, GOT, total cholesterol, triglyceride and total bilirubin in HA-1 group. γ-GTP, GTP, LDH, γ-GTP levels were significantly inhibited in HA-2 group. Conclusions : These results demonstrate that the reduce of hepatic enzyme activation and lipid accumulation by pharmacopuncture of Mori Cortex may be by an antioxidant properties of Mori Cortex.

        강원지역 유기 및 관행 과수원에서의 절지동물 군집 특성 비교

        본 연구는 사과, 블루베리, 포도, 복숭아, 배 과수원에서 과수의 종류와 재배 방식 (유기 및 관행)이 토양 특성 및 토양 절지동물 군집에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 함정트랩을 사용하여 토양 절지동물 군집을 조사하였으며, 조사 당시의 토양 수분 함량, 전기전도도, 온도가 조사되었다. 결과적으로, 과수의 종류와 재배 방식은 토양 특성에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 특히, 유기 사과 과수원에서는 관행 사과 과수원에 비해 높은 토양 수분 함량, 전기전도도, 온도가 관측되었다. 토양 절지동물 군집에 대한 조사를 통해서 5강 15목에 속하는 1,527 개체가 채집되었다. 개체수, 종 풍부도, 다양성 지수의 범위는 관행 및 유기 과수원에서 각각 9~93 ind. trap-1, 4.00~17.00, 1.09~1.84 및 27~48 ind. trap-1, 9.50~14.00, 1.33~2.14였다. 재배 방식은 토양 절지동물 군집 특성에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 하지만 NMDS (Non-metric Multidimensional Scaling) 분석결과, 재배 방식에 따라 토양 절지동물 군집 구조가 유의하게 다를 수 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 재배 방식이 토양 절지동물에 미치는 영향을 파악하는데 있어, 토양 절지동물 군집에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 식생 군집 및 환경 특성이 종합적으로 고려되어야 하며, 토양 절지동물 군집의 특성뿐만 아니라 구조도 고려되어야 함을 시사한다. This study conducted an investigation into the effects of fruit type and cultivation practices (organic and conventional) on soil characteristics and soil arthropod communities within apple, blueberry, grape, peach, and pear orchards. The collection of soil arthropod communities was achieved through the utilization of pitfall traps, with concurrent measurements taken for soil moisture content, electrical conductivity, and temperature. The findings of this study unveiled substantial impacts attributed to fruit type and cultivation practices on soil characteristics. Specifically, within organic apple orchards, discernibly higher levels of soil moisture content, electrical conductivity, and temperature were observed when compared to their conventional counterparts. The investigation into soil arthropod communities yielded a total of 1,527 individuals, classified in to five phyla and 15 orders. The range of abundance, species richness, and diversity indices varied across conventional and organic orchards. Cultivation practices were found not to exert a significant influence on soil arthropod community characteristics. However, Non-metric Multidimensional Scaling (NMDS) analysis indicated a significant differentiation in soil arthropod community structure based on cultivation practices. This study underscores the importance of considering vegetation structure and environmental characteristics that may influence soil arthropod communities comprehensively when assessing the impact of cultivation practices on soil arthropods. Furthermore, it emphasizes the need to account for both the characteristics and structure of soil arthropod communities in understanding the implications of cultivation practices on these organisms.

        메틸에틸케톤과 메탄올이 김어리톡토기의 사망 및 번식에 미치는 영향

        Acute and chronic toxicities of methyl ethyl ketone and methanol were investigated on Paronychiurus kimi (Collembola), for evaluating the potential effects of accidental exposures of these chemical substances on the terrestrial environments. This study was undertaken to establish a toxicity database for these chemical substances, which was required for the preparation of the response compensation and liability act for agricultural production and environmental damage. The 7-d acute toxicity and 28-d chronic toxicity were conducted using the OECD artificial soil spiked with varying, serially diluted concentrations of methyl ethyl ketone and methanol. Mortality was recorded after 7-d and 28-d of exposures, and the number of juveniles were determined after 28-d of exposure in the chronic toxicity test. In both assessments, methanol was more toxic than methyl ethyl ketone in terms of mortality (LC50) and reproduction (EC50). The 7-d LC50 of methyl ethyl ketone and methanol were 762 and 2378 mg kg-1 soil dry wt., respectively, and the 28-d LC50s were 6063 and 1857 mg kg-1 soil dry wt., respectively. The 28-d EC50 of methyl ethyl ketone and methanol were 265 and 602 mg kg-1 soil dry wt., respectively. Comparison of results obtained in this study with literature data revealed that P. kimi was more sensitive to methanol than other soil invertebrates. However, given the high volatility of the chemicals tested in this study, further studies are necessary to improve the current test guideline, or to develop new test guidelines for an accurate assessment of chemicals that require toxicity databases for chemical accidents.

        사고대비물질 4종이 김어리톡토기의 사망 및 번식에 미치는 영향

        The aim of this study is to provide a scientific basis for decision making regarding environmental damage in case of future chemical accidents by evaluating the ecotoxicity of 4 substances requiring preparation for accidents. For this purpose, acute and chronic toxicities of nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, and ammonia solution, which can change the physical and chemical properties of soil to Paronychiurus kimi (Collembola) were investigated. The pH of artificial soil spiked with a series of test chemical concentrations was also measured. The pH of soil spiked with 10,000 mg kg-1 of soil nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, and ammonia solution were 2.86, 2.72, 7.18 and 9.69, respectively. The 28-d LC50 of nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide and ammonia solution were 2,703, 5,414, 3,158 and 859 mg kg-1 soil dry wt., respectively and 28-d EC50 were 587, 2,148, 1,300 and 216 mg kg-1 soil dry wt., respectively. These results indicated that the mortality and juvenile production of P. kimi were influenced by not only the soil pH but also by the reduced organic content and products produced by the reaction of soil with the tested chemicals. Given the fact that most substances requiring preparation for accidents can change soil characteristics, assessment and restoration methods that take into account changes in soil properties are needed for accurate decision making after chemical accidents. 본 연구의 목적은 질산, 황산, 암모니아수, 과산화수소에 대한 생태독성평가를 통해서 사고대비물질들에 대한 기초독성 데이터베이스를 구축하여, 향후 화학사고 발생시 환경 피해에 관한 의사결정에 과학적 근거를 제공하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 사고대비물질 중 토양의 물리·화학적 성질을 변화시킬 수 있는 질산, 황산, 암모니아수, 과산화수소를 대상으로 국내 토착 절지동물인 김어리톡토기 (Paronychiurus kimi)를 이용한 생태독성평가를 수행하였다. 7일간의 급성독성평가와 28일간의 만성독성평가를 수행하였으며, 시험물질 농도에 따른 토양의 pH 변화를 관찰하였다. 토양의 pH는 질산, 황산, 과산화수소, 암모니아수의 농도가 10,000 mg kg-1 soil dry wt.일 때, 각각 2.86, 2.72, 7.18, 9.69이었다. 질산, 황산, 과산화수소, 암모니아수에 대한 만성독성평가 결과, LC50 값은 각각 2,703, 5,414, 3,158, 859 mg kg-1 soil dry wt.이었으며, P. kimi의 산란 수에 대한 EC50 값은 각각 587, 2,148, 1,300, 216 mg kg-1 soil dry wt.이었다. 비록 본 연구에서는 사고대비물질들의 유입에 따른 토양 pH의 변화만이 조사되었지만, 본 연구의 결과는 P. kimi가 사고대비물질에 의해 변화된 토양의 pH뿐만 아니라 사고대비물질의 유입에 의해 감소된 유기물 함량과 생성된 반응 산물에 의해서도 사망률과 산란수에 영향을 받을 수 있음을 의미한다. 대부분의 사고대비물질들이 토양의 특성을 변화시킬 수 있다는 점을 감안할 때, 토양의 특성 변화와 이에 따른 생물 영향을 고려한 화학사고 후 평가 및 복원 방법이 필요하다.

        N/A Sarcomatoid carcinomas are rare neoplasms that have been described using various terms, pseudosarcoma, carcinosarcoma or spindle cell carcinoma. Sarcomatoid carcinomas are epithelial tumors with sarcomatoid components and characterized by the presence of cytokeratin in pleomorphic spindle cells. These tumors of gallbladder rarely have been reported predominantly in older women with associated gallstones and their prognosis was very poor. However, the clinical and histological data are very limited. We report a case of sarcomatoid carcinoma in gallbladder confirmed by light microscopy and immunohistochemistry.(Korean J Med 57:1048-1052, 1999)
