The purpose of this study was to examine children's social behaviors and their project -performing capabilities in their kindergarten ages of 4 or 5. 30 four-or five-year-old kindergarteners in a kindergarten, Taegu City, were randomly selected as the subject for this study and assigned to the three experiment groups: 10 four-year-old group, 10 five-year-oid group, and 10 mix-age group, respectively. For the research instruments, 'Play-analysis System', which Jang, Myung-Lim(1996) developed on the basis of the classification designed by Parten(1932), Howes(1980), Johnson(1987) etc. and conversation items from 'Social Behavioral Items List, one of Bronson's Behavioral Observation Lists, were used to assess the children's social-behavior types. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, there are statistically significant differences between the experiment groups with regard to such social behaviors as 'onlooking', 'solitary', 'on-my-own' (one of the two 'paralleling' activities, 'mutual recognizant' (one of the two 'paralleling' activities), 'associative', 'pair-cooperative', 'group-cooperative', and 'conversation' activities. Children in the four-year-old group showed more 'solitary' and 'on-my-own' activities than the mixed-age group, and more 'onlooking', 'on-my-own' and 'pair-cooperative' activities than the five-year-old group. Children in the five-year-old group showed more 'on-my-own', 'associative' and 'pair-cooperative' activities than the mixed-age group, and more 'associative' and 'conversation' activities than the four-year-old group. Children in the mixed-age group showed more 'associative' and 'conversation' activities than the four-year-old group, and more 'group cooperative' and 'conversation' activities than the five-year-old group. Second, there are statistically significant differences between the experiment groups with regard to such project-performing capabilities as 'theme-networking', 'project-planning', 'information-extracting', 'idea and information-expressing', and 'project-evaluating' capabilities. The mixed-age group and the five-year-old group showed higher scores in all the project-performing items than the four - year - old group while the mixed-age group showed greater capabilities in 'theme-networking', 'project-planning', and 'information-extracting' items than the five-year-old group.
Glycine속의 재배콩과 야생콩간의 전기영동에 의한 단백질양상분석에 관한 연구

Genetic similarity among genus Glycine were investigated by polyacrylamide gtel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE). Souble protein band patterns of G. max Ulsan and G. max Eunha were highly similar. G. max was much similar to G. soja in their protein band patterns, and was differed from the patterns of G. canescens, G. tabacina and G. tomentella. In the similarities among five species, genus Glycine obtained SDS-PAGE, the highest similarity was 85.71% between G. max Ulsan and G. max Eunha. The similarity between G. tabacina and G. tomentella was very low. The cluster analysis revealed that G. max Ulsan and G. max Eunha had relatively high genetic similarities. G. tomerella was the most highly differentiated population. Therefore, dendrogram of the six populations of genus Glycine based on SDS-PAGE suggested that these five species might be genetically differed from each other.
Catalytic NiO Filter Supported on Carbon Fiber for Oxidation of Volatile Organic Compounds

Carbon-fiber-supported NiO catalytic filters for oxidation of volatile organic compounds were prepared by electroless Ni-P plating and subsequent annealing processes. Surface structure and crystallinity of NiO film on carbon fiber could be modified by post-annealing at different temperatures (500 and 650 oC). Catalytic thermal decompositions of toluene over these catalytic filters were investigated. 500 oC-annealed sample showed a higher catalytic reactivity toward toluene decomposition than 650 oC-annealed one under same conditions, despite of its lower surface area and toluene adsorption capacity. X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy studies suggest that amorphous structures of NiO on 500 oC-annealed catalyst caused the higher reactivity for oxidation of toluene than that of 650 oC-annealed sample with a higher crystallinity.

In a situation where the development of various treatments is urgently needed to overcome the global outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the sequential emergence of new variant viruses, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) made tremendous efforts to promptly supply the safe and effective therapeutics manufactured by local and global companies through accelerated marketing authorization or emergency use approvals. To date, seven products (including overlapped) have received marketing authorization or emergency use approvals from MFDS, and their indicated patient group according to the severity, efficacy, and safety information are different by each products. Therefore, this study is to compare the product information and the major clinical outcomes obtained from clinical studies of COVID-19 treatments authorized or approved for emergency use in Korea and to introduce the MFDS’s efforts for establishment of accelerated approval system for COVID-19 treatment and development of relevant guidelines. It is hoped that this study will serve as a reference for the latecomers who is preparing the development of therapeutics for emerging infectious diseases in the future.
전기화학적 CO2 환원반응에 의한 CH4 생성 메커니즘 이해: 밀도범함수이론 연구

Researches on electrochemical CO2 conversion into useful hydrocarbon fuels have emerged as one of the promising CO2 reduction methods to mitigate green house effects. In the electrochemical CO2 conversion reaction, the selection of catalyst is recommended prior to determine other reaction parameters, because the CO2 conversion efficiency is significantly influenced by the performance of a selected catalyst. To understand CO2 conversion mechanisms on various catalyst such as Cu, Au, and Pt, in this study the reaction limiting step and energy barrier of intermediate products of existing CO2 reduction reactions were calculated using density functional theory (DFT). The DFT calculation revealed that the lowest energy barrier was found in Pt (0.35eV), but the CH4 production was low. Au turned out to be the least efficient catalyst among three metals due to the highest energy barrier (0.63eV) and the high production of intermediate products. Although the energy barrier of Cu (0.50eV) was higher than that of Pt, the surface of Cu was revealed to be most efficient in the generation of CH4. The results of this study would provide useful basic information for the development of a new catalyst in electrochemical CO2 conversion.
