Background and Objectives : Hemorrhage is one of the most common complication after tonsillectomy. Despite of many various efforts, it still remains unsolved problem to many otolaryngologist. Because so many factors are related to postoperative bleeding after tonsillectomy, so we tried to see the postoperative hemorrhage rate in relation to various parameters. Material and Methods : A retrospective study on patients who had underwent tonsillectomy in Wallace Memorial Baptist Hospital for 6 years from January 2002 to December 2007. Parameters such as sex, seasons of year, age distribution, tonsil size, previous tonsillitis history and anesthesia type were considered. Results : Overall hemorrhage rate was 2.6%. Postoperative hemorrhage was common in adult males with incidence of 4.5% and most of them was secondary hemorrhage. In age distribution, the incidence was high in the group of 16~30 year. Bleeding was common in autumn, grade II tonsil and increased when the history of tonsillitis was frequent, and local tonsillectomy was better in terms of bleeding compared with tonsillectomy under general anesthesia. but there was no statistical significance. Conclusion : To reduce the incidence of postoperative hemorrhage, perioperative education and complete bleeding control during operation is important for high risk patients.

Granular cell tumors are relatively uncommon benign laryngeal lesions, especially in children. The granular cell tumor can occurs everywhere in our body. Half of all granular cell tumors occur in the head and neck, with a third of these occuring in the tongue. The larynx is relatively uncommon location, accounting for approximately 7% to 10% of all reported cases. Typically, the most common presenting symptom is hoarseness, with some patients also presenting stridor, hemoptysis, dysphagia. But the tumor may be asymptomatic and be discovered only incidentally during a routine examination. Confirmative diagnosis should be made histopathologically and supported by immunohistochemical staining using S-100. Treatment of a granular cell tumor is complete excision with an attempt to maintain normal structures. We experienced a 14-year-old woman with laryngeal granular cell tumor, which involves the epiglottic lower margin. She was successfully treated with complete excision under laryngomicroscopic dissection. So we report it with a review of literatures.

Abstract Art has relieved of its burden to reproduce. Abstract Art is to find and express its own original beauty, looking at itself in the state of genuineness. In the past painters had to express his thought, ideology or beauty through subjects like human body or nature. To reproduce three dimensional space and objects into a plane surface, they had to device every means. They succeeded in reproducing objects on a canvas through scientific methods like perspective representation of line, atmosphere, and color, technique of shading, expression of massiveness using contrast of chiaroscuro knoeledge on anatomy analyzing human body. Reproduction of reality meant not the artistic, creativity and essence but a mimetic and technical success. Abstract art has shown that superb expression is possible only with an order within a painting or automatism of materials. Since then it became possible for painters to express freely using only the genuine formative elements directly on a canvas. The meaning of Abstract Art lies in accomplishing its complete independence from outside influence or intervention, and in rediscovering the genuine value and essence of formative elements which constitute painting and in finding the fact that genuine art can be made only of these elements. Since then Abstract Art has been taking an important role as the biggest resource of energy, in the various and rich developments of creative art at the center and in every phase of modern art.

Roadside space is the most basic urban transportation infrastructure and the most open urban space. in the past, roadside space was recognized only as a transportation infrastructure, so the temperature of roadside space and its value as an environmental resource were secondary to that. Therefore, it is necessary to control the temperature of road sections and to draw road heat phenomena in real time to efficiently manage them. In this study, the system is developed and visualized by reflecting the temperature of roadside space in real time. An internet of Things tool has been developed to measure temperature using part of Gangseo-gu road in Seoul as an experimental area It also establishes a system that can reflect the results of this measurement in road spatial data. Based on results of this experiment, the pilot system was verified by reflecting the temperature information of the roadside space and a future development plan was derived.
