한국의 과학기술 어디까지 왔나 - 발효 기술, 아미노산 발효기술 선진국 수준

우리나라의 생명공학기술 수준은 선진국을 100으로 볼 때 65정도로 열세이지만 분야별로 강세를 보여온 발효기술은 90정도로 선진국에 근접해 있으며 특히 아미노산 발효기술은 높게 평가를 받고 있다. 21세기 선도산업으로 꼽고 있는 생물산업의 경쟁력 우위를 점하기 위해선 더 많은 기술적ㆍ경제적인 투자가 절실하다.
국내 시판 누룽지의 물리화학적 특성 및 항산화 성질 연구

Purpose: Nurungji is a traditional Korean food made by yellowish scorched rice. After getting gelatinization of rice, a thin crust of scorched rice will usually be left in the bottom of the traditional cooking pot. In this study, physicochemical characteristics and antioxidant properties of five commercial nurungji products (CNP1, CNP2, CNP3, CNP4, and CNP5) were evaluated. Methods: Physicochemical properties of the five commercial nurungji products were evaluated with AOAC method. The antioxidant activities were assessed using the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2-azinobis-(3-ethyl-benozothia zoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS), ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), and reducing power assays. Results: Water content was the highest in CNP3, followed by CNP1, CNP2, CNP5, and CNP4. Crude ash content of all nurungji was less than 1%. In Hunter color parameter, the significantly highest a value (redness) and b value (yellowness) were measured in the CNP4 product, meanwhile the lowest in CNP3 (p<0.05). The nurungji products of CNP4 and CNP5 had the significantly higher content in total polyphenols and total flavonoids, compared to those of other products. CNP3 and CNP2 had the lowest in total polyphenols and total flavonoids, respectively. CNP4 and CNP5 products showed the significantly higher values in antioxidant activities, whereas CNP3 had the lowest activity. Conclusion: The high value of antioxidant activities in CNP4 and CNP5 might have been affected primarily by the total polyphenols with increasing browning color during the heat treatment.
Evaluation on the Quality of Fresh, Conventionally Heated and Ohmically Heated Mulberry Fruit Juice

The aim of this study was to establish the superiority of ohmic heating over conventional heating for the sterilization of mulberry juice. Heat treatment of fresh juice significantly reduced the concentration of soluble solids, lowered the pH, and lowered the reducing sugar content (p<0.01). Color measurements showed decreases in the L and a values and increases in the b, H and C values after heat treatment, although the total color differences were smaller after ohmic heating than after conventional heating of fresh juice. The antioxidant capacities, such as reducing power, FRAP, and DPPH, decreased in the order of fresh juice, ohmically heated juice and conventionally heated juice. Furthermore, the anthocyanin, flovonoid, and total antioxidant capacities of the juices significantly decreased in the same order. Sensory evaluations showed no difference between fresh and ohmically heated mulberry fruit juice excluding off-flavor, whereas conventionally heated juice received significantly lower evaluations. The microbial counts were zero in the juice after either heat treatment. Thus, ohmic heat treatment can be effectively used to sterilize fresh mulberry juice to obtain good shelf life with minimal physicochemical, color, antioxidant and sensory deterioration.

In this study we report on the estrogen activity of silkworm pupa and herb extracts in vitro. The estrogenic activity of these resources was investigated by competition binding assays with estrogen receptor $\alpha(ER{\alpha})\;or\;ER{\beta}$, and viability of MCF-7 cells, a human breast cancer cell line. Saturation ligand-binding analysis of $ER{\alpha}\;and\;ER{\beta}$ revealed that all plant extracts competed with estrogen ligand for binding to both ER subtypes with a similar preference and degree and competed stronger with ligand for binding to $ER{\beta}\;than\;to\;ER{\alpha}$. The highest $ER{\alpha}-binding$ sample was silkworm pupa aqueous extract The highest $ER{\beta}-binding$ sample was silkworm pupa oil. These samples were further tested for bioactivity based on their ability to regulate cell growth rate in ER(+) breast cancer cell line, MCF-7 cells. Our studies showed that silkworm pupa, soritae, sesame, yam, pueraria, malt, ginseng, Polygonum multiflorum, and Curcuma longa significantly stimulated the growth of MCF-7 cells (P<0.05). In summary, these results suggested that silkworm pupa and herbs might be useful as potential phytoestrogens.

The purpose of this study is to propose improvement direction through analysis of characteristics of Gosiwon, non-dwellings For this purpose, before analyzing the policy alternatives and plan improvement directions, this study is typified the congested areas of the Gosiwon by analyzing the characteristics of residents. First, this study firstly derived the process and limitations of the related laws through analyzing policies and regulations related to the domestic Gosiwon. Second, this study is analyzed the precedent research and case studies related to the domestic Gosiwon. Third, the type of Gosiwon was classified according to the distribution of residents type. Finally, this study is proposed a policy alternative by analyzing the planning characteristics of the representative case by type.
전기적/광학적 특성 향상을 위한 대면적 GaN LED 전극패턴 최적화

본 논문에서는 기존의 GaN LED 전극패턴이 갖는 전류의 집중현상 및 소자 내 발열문제를 최소화하고 전기적 · 광학적 특성의 향상을 위하여 풍차모양과 팔각형 comb 타입 전극패턴을 제안하였고, 3차원 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증하였다. LED 칩의 전체 면적 대비 전극의 면적 및 패드와 보조전극의 위치 최적화를 통하여 350 ㎃의 전류주입 하에서의 동작전압이 약 0.4 V 정도 감소되는 전기적 특성의 향상을 확인하였고, InGaN/GaN 활성층에서 생성된 광의 추출효율 및 radiation 특성 또한 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study is to introduce the case of a start-up living lab led by SH Corporation, which can be operated by young architects and residents, and to propose the direction. The purpose of this study is to introduce the case of SH Corporation-led start-up Living Lab, which can be operated by young architects and residents together, and to suggest future improvement directions. This study was conducted in the following processes. First, the definition and background of Living Lab were analyzed. Second, representative cases of domestic living lab operation was analyzed. Third, it revealed the background and purpose of the SH Youth Architect Project. Fourth, the current status, characteristics, and limitations of living labs operated by young architects were analyzed. Finally, the direction of living lab models in urban regeneration projects was proposed.
