        호흡에 따른 폐동맥과 기관지 직경의 변화:고해상CT 소견

        Purpose : To evaluate the changes and normal ranges of the artery-bronchus ratio(ABR) during respirationMaterials and Methods : We analyzed HRCT of 10healthy adults. The HRCT findings of ten healthy adults were analysed CT scanning was performed with 1mm collimation at 3mm intervals during full inspiration and full expiration, with a range during inspiration from 2cm to 4cm above the carina and from 4cm above to 2cm below the right hemidiaphragm. The range during expiration was from 1cm to 3cm above the carina and from 4cm above to 2cm below the right hemidiaphragm. ABiR (defined as the diameter of pulmonary artery divided by the inner diameter of the bronchus) and ABoR (defined as the diameter of pulmonary artery divided by the outer diameter of the bronchus) and BLR (defined as the inner diameter of the bronchus divided by the outer diameter of the bronchus) were measured on the display console.Results : The mean inner diameter of the bronchi was 2.04$\pm$0.73mm during inspiration and 1.68$\pm$0.51mm during expiration, while the mean diameter of the arteries was 3.95$\pm$1.03mm during inspiration and 4.37$\pm$1.09mm during expiration. The diameters of the bronchi were thus seen to increase during inspiration, and the diameters of the pulmonary arteries, to decrease. The mean thickness of the bronchial wall 1.07$\pm$0.19mm during inspiration and 1.06$\pm$0.24mm during expiration; thus, no change in thickness was seen during respiration (p<0.05). Mean ABiR was 2.01$\pm$0.60 (rang 1.15-4.58) during inspiration and 2.59$\pm$0.74(range 1.16-4.9) during expiration, and in all cases the inner diameter of the bronchus was less than that of the accompanying pulmonary artery. Mean ABoR was 0.91$\pm$0.19 during inspiration and 1.09$\pm$0.22 during expiration. while for BLR, the corresponding fingures were 0.46$\pm$0.06, and 0.44$\pm$0.09.Conclusion : HRCT is a useful tool for evaluating changes in the pulmonary arteries and bronchi during respiration.

        선도실험요원을 활용한 자연과 탐구과정 지도의 효율성에 관한 연구

        Teaching inquiry process is one of the most important objectives in science education. To promote students scientific process skills, a science teacher should encourage the students do something by themselves. One method for that purpose which has been used in many schools would be group experiment. The researcher has been experienced a lot of difficulties in controlling or guiding every group to finish the assigned experiment within the given class hour. Therefore, the researcher decided to select several leaders from students and trained them in advance of the given class hour. This leaders are effected to guide the remaining students in the class. As the result of this study, the classroom with and without student leaders showed very significant difference(P>0.001) in their achievement of scientific process skills. The experimental group also showed more positive attitude toward science. The researcher concluded that the use of student leaders is very effective in promoting scientific process skills. This method is also regarded very effective in a large class sized like Korean Schools.

        Several leading countries are currently working on developing national architectures for ITS (Intelligent transport Systems), as a nationwide project. Among them are the U.S., Japan, and joint Europe. In Korea, similar kind of effort is under way as a national strategic plan. One of the concerns in the development is ATMS. In this paper, we discuss design issues concerning information architecture for ATMS. The discussion will include the development of reference model, service function definition and structuring, and information architecture design.

        Dynamic scene analysis has been drawn much attention in computer vision field since it reveals more 3-D information than static scene counterpart. The objective of the proposed research is to count number of vehicles that pass through designated detection line in gray-scale image sequence. In this paper, we propose a vehicle counting method using image processing in gray-scale image sequence. We use contiguous frame differencing and morphology along with trip-line method.

        Due to the rapid increase of vehicles and poor availability of roads, traffic congestion problem is about to explode. To solve this problem we need real time information about traffic flow to control traffic signals dynamically. Until now loop coil is the most prevalent sensor used for obtaining traffic flow information. However, it is not able to track individual vehicles which is essential in estimating the average vehicle speed. As a result, image sensors started to find their role in this problem domain. Several systems based on image sensors were proposed which assumes either gray level or color image sequence. In this paper, we propose region correspondence based moving vehicle tracking method using color information.

        JPEG2000을 이용한 유방촬영술 팬텀 영상의 압축 비율별 평가

        Purpose: To determine the usefulness of compression standard JPEG2000 for compression of mammographic images. Materials and Methods: Image of a mammographic phantom was compressed using JPEG2000 at ratios of 10:1, 20:1, 30:1, 40:1, 50:1 and 60:1. The sizes of the images were compared, and scores were recorded by counting the numbers of fibers, groups of specks and masses seen in each phantom image. More than four fibers, three groups of specks and three masses and a total score of 10 were considered acceptable. Results: The size of a DICOM image was 17,042 KB, a TIFF image was 8,324 KB, the original JPEG image was 1,506 KB and the most compressed image (50:1) above an acceptable total score of 10 was 43 KB. In each category, the compression image of fiber was acceptable up to compression ratio of 50:1 (score of 5), groups of specks was acceptable up to 60:1 (score of 3) and mass was acceptable up to 50:1 (score of 3.5). The total score, which was acquired by adding up the individual scores of all three categories, for a compression ratio of 50:1 was 12 and was acceptable, but the total score for 60:1 was 8 and was not acceptable. Conclusion: The compression standard JPEG2000 is an efficient means for compressing mammographic images at high ratios without compromising diagnostic value. 목적: 유방촬영술 영상의 압축에서 JPEG2000의 유용성을 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: JPEG2000압축 기법을 사용하여 유방촬영술 팬텀 영상을 10:1, 20:1, 30:1, 40:1, 50:1, 60:1까지 압축하였다. 유방촬영술 팬텀의 DICOM, TIFF, JPEG 원본 영상과 압축 영상을 포함한 총 9개의 영상을 4명의 판독의가 합의로 평가하였다. 영상의 용량을 비교하였고 팬텀영상에서 보이는 섬유, 작은 알갱이 집단들, 종괴의 개수를 세어 점수를 기록하였다. 섬유 4개 이상, 작은 알갱이 집단들 3개 이상, 종괴 3개 이상(총점 10점 이상)을 합격으로 간주하였다. 결과: DICOM 영상의 용량은 17,042KB, TIFF 영상은 8,324KB, JPEG 원본 영상은 1,506KB이었고 합격점 이상에서 가장 높은 압축비인 50:1에서의 영상의 용량은 43KB이었다. 분야별 점수에서 섬유는 50:1의 압축비까지 5점으로 합격이었고, 작은 알갱이 집단들은 60:1의 압축비까지 3점으로 합격이었으며, 종괴는 50:1의 압축비까지 3.5점으로 합격이었다. 총점에서는 섬유, 작은 알갱이 집단들, 종괴 각각의 점수를 합치면 50:1의 압축비까지 12점으로 합격이었고 60:1의 압축비는 8점으로 불합격이었다. 결론: JPEG2000은 유방촬영술에서 비교적 영상의 손실 없이 높은 압축이 가능한 효율적인 압축 기법이다.

        수술후 동맥관개존증에 발생한 동맥류: 1예 보고

        Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) is one of the most common congenital heart diseases. A rare complication occurring after its surgical treatment is the development of an aneurysm, and we report the radiologic findings in a case in which this occurred after surgical ligation. 동맥관개존증은 흔한 선천성 심장질환으로 5000명에 1명정도의 빈도를 가지는 질환이다. 수술 후 아주 드물게 수술한 동맥관개존증에 동맥류가 생길 수 있는데 저자들은 성인 동맥관개존증 환자에서 수술 후 발생한 동맥류 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 방사선학적 소견을 보고하고자 한다.
