        배풍등의 화학성분 및 항산화 효과에 관한 연구

        Phytochemical study on the aerial parts of Solanum lyratum (Solanaceae) was carried out. On the basis of phytochemical and spectroscopic evidences, compound I was identified as misctures of hexadecanoic acid methyl ester, 2,6,10,15-tetra methyl heptadecane, tricosane, tetracosane, pentacosane, docosanoic acid methyl ester, docosane, tricosanoic acid methyl ester, 8-hexyl pentadecane, tetracosanoic acid methyl ester, pentatriacontane, hexatriacontane, eicosane, hexacosane, hentriacontane and stigmasta-5,23-dien 3-β-o1, and compound II, III, IV and V were identified as hexacosanoic acid methyl ester, β-sitosterol-D-glucoside, 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1->2)-β-D-glucuronopyranosyl diosgenin and 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1->6)-β-D-glucopyranosyl quercetin (rutin), respectively. Rutin was identified as one of the active principles having antioxidative effect from S. lyratum.

        Effect of human milk on the angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth

        Human milk was examined for antiangiogenic activities by using the chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay and endothelial cell growth. The low molecular weight (20 KD>$\sim$ ) fraction of human milk stimulated the angiogenesis and increased the endothelial cell growth. These results suggest that the increase of angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth might be attributed to several growth factors and/or angiogenic factors in low molecular fraction (20 KD>$\sim$) of human milk.

        홍삼 총 사포닌의 항산화작용 기전

        Oxygen free radicals are highly reactive molecules with unpaired electrons, which are produced with in aerobic cells in the course of normal metabolic events. Normally, aerobic cells are protected from the damage of free radicals by antioxidative enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, glutathione (GSH) peroxidase, GSH S-transferase and GSH reductase which scabvenge free radicals as well as nonenzymatic antioxidants such as ceruloplasmin, albumin and nontioxidants in order to elucidate antioxidative mechanisms of red ginseng. The treatment with total saponin of red ginseng significantly devreased the contents of malondialdehyde and total free radicals in the liver. On the other hand, total saponin of red ginseng significantly increased the activities of SOD, catalase and GSH reductase and nonprotein-SH level. These results suggest that total saponin of red ginseng exerts an antioxidative effect by increasing endogenous antioxidants.

        모유의 항산화능에 관한 연구

        모유성분을 고분자분획(20KD 이상 분자)과 저분자분획(20KD 이하 분자)으로 나누어 항산화력을 검토한 결과, 고분자분획이 저분자분획 보다 더 강력한 항산화력을 나타내었다. 이 모유의 항산화력은 주로 20KD 이상에 존재하는 항산화 효소에 기인할 가능성이 시사되어 모유의 채유 기간에 따른 항산화 효소를 비롯하여 protein-SH와 nonprotein-SH를 검토한 결과, catalase는 7일째 현저히 저하한데 비해 GSH peroxidase, GSH S-transferase는 7일째를 전후로 현저히 증가한 후 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. Protein-SH는 채유 기간에 따라 차츰 감소하였으나 nonprotein-SH는 20일째 peak를 이루고 그 후 감소하였다. 이상의 결과로 부터 모유의 고분자획은 강력한 항산화력을 나타내었으며, 이 항산화력은 catalase, GSH peroxidase 및 GSH S-transferase등의 항산화 효소 활성에 기인할 것으로 사료된다. The antioxidative activity of each fraction in human milk was examined using H₂O₂ and FeSO₄-induced lipid peroxidation of mouse liver homogenate in order to elucidate the antioxidative substances of human milk. High molecular weight (~>20KD) fraction had more antioxidative effect on lipid peroxidation than low molecular weight (~<20KD) fraction. Furthermore, the changes of anti oxidative enzyme activities were estimated during lactation to study the roles of human milk. The human milk showed high activities of catalase, glutathione (GSH) peroxidase and GSH S-transferase. These results suggest that the antioxidative activities may mostly be attributed to high molecular weight fraction containing catalase, GSH peroxidase and GSH S-transferase.
